IKMultimedia Stealthplug instead of original Rocksmith cable

Not sure in what topic i can post this, so i'll give it a shot. :)

 

 

I have rocksmith for PC with the original rocksmith cable.

Now, my daughter wants to play as well on here own computer , and we also want to try the muliplayer mode

 

I have allready this guitar interface cable. The IK Multimedia Stealthplug

Is there a way to use this cable instead of buying another rocksmith cable?

It seems there is a no-cable patch floating around on the net to bypass rocksmith detecting the original cable. But i'm not sure this will work.

The no cable patch is your best bet regarding this.

 

Or you can just use the microphone mode but this means that the person that will use the Stealthplug won't have any tone simulation in game.

Stole this from Steam forum user who I don't know. Apparently Remastered supports no cable itself. Maybe this will work. I, myself, have no issues with the old nocable patch. Just make sure to disable all other inputs and set the audio quality to DVD and you're gold. Everything after this line is not my words.

 

No need to download sketchy software or mod anything with the newest version of RS2014RM. Just edit your "Rocksmith.ini" file. Put this in there: "RealToneCableOnly=0".

The following is a dump of my entire Rocksmith.ini file. With this I can use whatever cable I want, mic (for acoustic guitar or different instruments) or no cable at all.
