Got a first play-through of Requiem. I almost never play as soon as the new list is posted, but this one is too cool to leave for later

Duty first, my choice, Def Leppard. (My songs seem to be chosen every other week. Is it pure luck, or is the song selection list empty?)

The next one breaks my fingers. I used a pick.

I got out my Gretsch thinking I hadn't played it in a while...

It was good on lead...

 

No score on rhythm...Literally all the first chords start at the 17th fret....the Gretsch has no cutout so I couldn't get them...lol.  I'll be back to you later!

 

I enjoyed this one...those runs are going to be just the kind of thing I want to practice!

 

 

That misspelling in the title drives me nuts, but I love Def Leppard.

Starting up practicing guitar again so I'd like to level back down to beginner.  Test run on this weeks song was a 70 percent. Now let's see if I can get my fat bass fingers to hit those little skinny strings.

Bass songs difficulty not quite right this week...

King of Leon is probably Int 4, whereas Def Leppard is definitely a beginner song.

 

 

When I initially added the Requeim to Songs list, I wasn't quite bass advanced level but it seemed doable as slow speeds so I thought it was 6... Now  I'm leaning towards MC 8, it's tough! Does anyone agree?

 

 

Rainbow, on the other hand, is definitely not MC level. Advanced 5-6, closer to 6 due to the fast speed and no breaks.

The DefLep Song would be really easy to play if there were chordnames/fingershapes at the appreggio parts.

The way its without is a pain for me.

bass... i think both are 7s (rainbow 6-7), but rainbow is long - endurance is needed. harder to get the real high score on requiem.

but order is ok i think.

I like this weeks bunch of songs. However, because I know how much effort it takes to make these selections. Kind of pains me to say this. Would it be okay to swap Rainbow with Requiem for Bass Category, I almost 100% Masterclass on 1st play, that's not right, I'm no bass god lvl like Poutzy :lol:
