The Hoff was easy. Accept had chords, which is hard for me. But Firekorn??? Do you use bars for these D–A–E parts? I like this song the most of theses three, so its ok that I have to practice it.

well i actually got to win a week  :D

 

here my first try for the week, i always like to start on bass on songs i don't know,

 

 

never heard of it but enjoyed the bass.....

 

 

i have obviously heard of the Hoff but not his songs,

 

 

this one needs some work me thinks  :huh:

Here are my sight reading first tries and opinions on the level...

To start with bass :

Beginner:

Intermediates:

Advanced: Definitely out of my league

Based on my %, Jump in my car should be in easy and Transformation in intermediate.

I'm a little bit surprised by the difference between and 5 and a 6 there...

 

Rhythm:

Beginner: Transformation has quite a complicated patterns and is relatively fast. I'm not sure it is a 3 but doable with some work

Intermediate: In comparison, Metal heart with an easiest pattern allowed me to score higher (but is sounded awful :()

 

Lead:

Beginner: Transformation is fast but the pattern is simple, I think it's a strong 3 with quick improvement in RR 

As Leg of Lamb was to complicated for me, maybe it is a little bit higher than 5...

I certainly respect FIrekorn composing this and putting himself out there!

 

 

 

When I eye the intermediate song it says "You aren't ready!"

 

 

Used to love Knight Rider!  Kitt on the album cover makes it for me,

Oh...and my Bass run on Metalheart.  This song cracks me up.

Did this in riff repeater at 88, 92, 96 and 100 speeds before I went to SA. Got to go back to nail those two transition riffs, especially the second one before hitting the weird major chord sequence (noone told them that a scale also has minor chords? -_-)

Late entry this week. Been very sick last week, now trying to catch up with work before doing a jury duty next week!

 

So, I played this song and thought "ok, good enough, next" but then I saw Meelo have higher score... so I had to play it twice!

 

Easy as well

 

And I thought I'd get 100% here as well but missed one of the notes on the 15th fret... used to play this song on rhythm badly so it's familiar to me.

 

 

Last SA

 

This looked rather easy for being 10 until some crazy tapping or whatever it was began - I got completely lost.

This is too hard for beginners song :)

 

 

Lead is easier as it's almost the same as bass line

 

 

Not bad for this song but I need to practice the rhythm pattern, it doesn't sound clean when I play it fast

 

I definitely don't like "Queens of Stone Age". Give me regular Queen, please.
