Rocksmith 2014 slow on the PC

mikejl47

Question

I picked up Rocksmith 2014 pc version, and everything seems slow, going between menus, track seems slow and behind the music. It just doesn't seem like I have enough power to run this game on my computer.

Here is my specs:

Windows 64bit

AMD Phenom 11 X6 1090t 3.2 GHZ

8 MB Ram

On board , Nvidia GeForce 7025/ Nvidia GeForce 630a

Would a new better graphics help speed things up?

I also have the Xbox version, everything on the Xbox is snappy, and the Xbox seem to have plenty of power to run the game, but not the PC.

Is there anything that could be done to speed thing up on the PC?

It's you GPU. I plugged in your numbers at the Game Debate website.

It shows that you video card is way under powered for RS2014.

You should be able to get an add on card that meets the minimum requirements fairly cheap.

http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=2103&game=Rocksmith&p_make=AMD&p_deriv=Phenom+II+X6+1090T&gc_make=Nvidia&gc_deriv=GeForce+7025+nForce+630a&ram=8&checkSubmit=#systemRequirements

If you want to try playing with you RS2014 settings first.

In the RS2014 folder there is a file named  RocksmithConfiguration.pdf

It explains the changes you can make to lower quality, but speed things up.

With the numbers your video card showed, I'm not sure this would help.

Hers a good web site for comparing video cards.

Thanks everyone,

I picked up a new graphic card today, and Rocksmith 2014 is running great.

I also like to thank everyone here for the great info on how to make the CDLC, I made a few in the last few days, before I even had the Rocksmith 2014 pc version purchased. I installed it today and the CDLC I created actually works.

Thanks, again.
