Who have you seen live?

Ally

Recommended Posts

very first: Metallica, Pantera and Monster Magnet, the most freaking awesome and crazy concert I've ever been to.. this was 1999.

last: Tool, Puscifer and Primus awesome concert too. I was in tears at some point of the Tool concert when a song made me remember a lost friend. :(

others: Black Sabbath, ACDC, Rammstein, Tony Levin, The Horrors, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Depeche Mode, Korn, Chris Cunnigham, Cypress Hill, Kap Bambino (this girl is fucking crazy!), Avenge Sevenfold, Megadeth, Bob Dylan, Apocalyptica many times, Placebo, Mars Volta, Smashing Pumpkins (the new lineup), Kiss, Motley Crue, others I can't remember so maybe they weren't as memorable.

Cheers!

Saw them 2011 in a small Club here in Hamburg. Still one of the best concerts of my life. If you can catch them life somewhere just go, dont think twice. IMO one of the best live bands in the world.

Oh WOW!!. I'll try to list them in order if I can. Metallica with Queensryche opening: And Justice for All tour. Aerosmith with G'n'R Opeing,, right when Appetite hit,, I wasn't there for Aerosmith. Def Leppard with Europe Opening. Pantera in some small little bar in Austin, TX right when Cowboys From Hell hit,, they were BLOWING UP at the time. Metallica, just Metallica. Metallica and G'n'R. Metallica with I don't remember who was opening,, the other 2 bands didn't fit that genre at all. Was kind of a weird show. Took a LONG break from concerts as raising kids got in the way. At my wife's BEGGING,,, Kenny Chesney with Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert opening.. ( Most disappointing show I've ever seen,, the headliner does ONE hour? Are you kidding? His song catalog is huge,, but nope 1 hour. ) Metallica ( It was the worst show I've seen them do, very early in the tour, but still, not sure I'll do them again ) Queensryche at some little casino, right before the Rocklahoma meltdown.   Have MANY bands that come through that I want to see but I have to fit them in my schedule and most of the time it just doesn't work. If we want to go back to the county fair days,, LMAO. My parents owned a tent company so I had VIP tickets to all of the shows. .38 Special,, and acck, puke New Kids On The Block !!!!! And many others I can't remember.   Oh shit, almost forgot Winger, Bullet Boys, Cindarella, and mmm I don't remember the fourth band at that show. AND HOLY SHIT HOW did I forget ? STEVE VAI !!!!!!!!

Too many to mention but I recently saw Monster Truck in Manchester due to being introduced to them by playing their track on Rocksmith. They're amazing live, nice chaps to talk too as well :) . Best gigs I've been to were seeing Red Hot Chillies, Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters all on the same stage in Glasgow in about 2002. Great day :D

I could rub it in a little more by telling you that I went to school with Chris Bowes and he once sent me a christmas card. It was a picture of a cat and it just said "I love cats".

I've seen some good ones and some shocking ones!

First one probs would have been britney spears and Aaron Carter when like 10 with my sister and mum.

Since then ive seen in no perticular order

Muse - Wembley  they were amazing best band ive seen who were supported by -Biffy Clyro - were ok, prefer their albums

Foo Fighters at wembley, they were really good, pretty sure they were supported by Manic Street preachers who sang rihanna's umbrella song which was actually really good!

My chemical Romance - these were ok

pidgeon detectives at my local club thingy, like 500 people there brilliant night

Take that - watched these when they did their comeback thingy, took the mrs for her 18th if i remember rightly.

Atlas - these are a local band who are really good, they supported pidgeon detectives.

Most of the ones i really want to see i cant :( :

Oasis / Guns and Roses / System of a Down / marilyn manson / Slipknot / Korn/ Queen / iron maiden

I've been to a ton of concerts, and will never be able to remember them all.... but as a partial list I've seen:

Foo Fighters x4

Staind

Puddle of Mudd (before anybody knew who they were)

Green Day x2

Weezer

The White Stripes

The Mudmen (underrated Canadian band that seems to have disappeared)

Gob (got to meet them after the show)

The Police (reunion concert when they came to T.O., I'm not that old)

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Smashing Pumpkins

The Pixies

Oasis

Silversun Pickups (they almost ran over my foot while driving a golf cart around the festival grounds.)

The Fratellis

Static In Stereo

Sum 41 x2 (worst 2 concerts I've EVER been to)

Pearl Jam x3

Eddie Vedder solo

Our Lady Peace x2 (1st time was in a bar in Sudbury about 6 months before their debut album was released)

Treble Charger x5

David Usher

Econoline Crush

Sam Roberts

The Trews

The Tragically Hip

Default

Finger Eleven

Fountains of Wayne

Sloan x2

Goldfinger

The Killers

Metric

Yes, most of them are lesser known Canadian bands, but hey, that's where I live eh.

I'm also going to see The Black Keys when they play T.O. in September, and I've heard that Our Lady Peace is coming to town again in July but I haven't decided whether I'll go or not.  It depends on what setlist they're playing as I wasn't a big fan of the last album (last two actually).

I've seen,

Deftones (2)

Disturbed (2)

Sevendust (2)

System of a down

Taproot

Chevelle

Alice Cooper

Marilyn Manson

Redman

Cake

Lacuna Coil

Soul Coughing (awful btw)

Alien Ant Farm

Static X

Mushroom Head (Great show)

and probably about 30 others but, too much to list

My biggest regret is not seeing Rage Against The Machine. I was going to see them at veegos ( or however they spell that) in Vegas 08 but, was few weeks away from my Sons' due date and for whatever reason she threw a fit over my plan of making the 3 hour drive to vegas. He ended up being a week late so a month after the show. I still blame her for this haha.
