Blimey @@papillon!  How many cdlc do you have to still be enumerating at the end of a song?! :O :D

Congrats @@guijappe, that's great news!  :beers:  :confetti_ball:

And congrats @missis-sumner!  Like Rodman I'm sorry to see you leave Advanced (honestly! :P :D )....but at the same time you've proved you've got the nuts for MC (get it, coz...nuts...on a bass...that you replaced...I'll see myself out!)

No improvement from me yet.  I did riff repeat Aria and got a score I was pretty happy with...then realised I'd only gone and practiced the wrong blooming song!    I don't think my wrist can take any more riff repeating.

i was going to do the Rhythm but it won't work, the whole game freezes and i have to re-start, so rather than think logically what was wrong i got annoyed, swore a bit then re-tuned  to 'D'

this wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be so I think I'll spend some time on this, plus I like it which helps  ;)

I've started working on Square Hammer on bass.  So far I'm at 97%, but we'll see how far I can take it.

I keep missing 1 note, and it's aggravating me now!!! =)

Edit:

And since I broke 99% on Beginner; I figured I'd give the intermediate a try; first run:

Square Hammer - 60%

Definitely going to need some work on this one tomorrow, lol

Blimey @@papillon!  How many cdlc do you have to still be enumerating at the end of a song?! :o :D

Seems it must be a lot :D

I've no idea why it sometimes happens that it starts again to enumerate - maybe a bug or RS is not sure if it found every song at the program start ...

Songs without DD does not enumerate after LaS plays. If I remember correctly they do after playing in Score Attack (Plum found that out)

I was just talking to my wife yesterday about going to a music shop to get new strings for my bass,

Yeah, I've used that excuse myself. ;)

Seriously, changing strings is dead easy.  There are pretty comprehensive instructions here:

https://www.studybass.com/gear/bass-strings/how-to-change-bass-guitar-strings/

If it's your first time, take photos of the headstock before you start, then you'll have a record of how the strings are wound on the pegs on your bass.  Then all you should need are wire cutters/snips.  Take care to get the right string in the right position before you cut anything (V.O.E. - after doing it so many times, it's easy to get blasé, and cut one too short).  The only other thing maybe to cover the body of the bass with something - tape/cloth, so that when you pull the strings through the bridge, you don't scratch your finish.

No, they won't as I remember. That's why I always add DD first if it's a NDD version.

and of course congrats @@guijappe-Daddy

well i couldn't leave it with 2 missed notes  ;)

still can't get the INT Rhythm working so i'll crack on with Ghost,

If I can get the recognition issues sorted I think I'll get up to 92%

And this could so easily be 94% if Rocksmith could understand what i was trying to do.

lastly a quick run through Monster Truck....cool song

i'm not really been in to any of the songs and they are not what I normally listen to, but they have grown on me

I haven't been able to play any of the Championship songs this evening, because I've spent between 7 and 8pm being sold a new front door.

On a positive note, I spent between 7 and 8pm selling Rocksmith 2014 Remastered to my front door salesman... including an impromptu performance of "Sweet Child o' Mine".

He may find his way here soon.  In the meantime, I've paid £1130 for a new composite front door.  Have I been done?

Gamut's back, baby!! :sunglasses: And what a week to come back to! Ghost AND Monster Truck? Hell yeah. Just switched my strings, so let's start low.

I've had these songs in my library forever, so I just walked right into Score Attack. I was worried I'd be rusty since I haven't touched my electric in a couple weeks..., but I wasn't that bad!

Singin' that song with my babydoll, and a little bit of weed~

So then I did Square Hammer, and it was going swimmingly. Until-

...I get destroyed by the fairly simple solo.

Whoops! But I can 100% this, I think.

Keep forgetting to post my scores before time is up, so here are some early ones.

And this one because it rocks! I picked up the Monster Truck LP when it released and is has a place in constant rotation in my house. Pick it up if you haven't already.

Alright there's the 100% Beg Lead I was looking for. 189 Streak, 934,497 score.

I'll try the INT Rhythm again later, but tbh this song is just making it all the more glaring the tuning issues I have.  (G string and B string suffer from the 'tink' when tuning and now I've noticed they are very sharp on the first couple frets, and I can't get e a d on the first few frets to sound perfectly in tune)  I tried re-intonating the guitar again and even adjusting the action a bit, using or not using the string saddles... Annoying same out of tune, and now I've finally completely stripped my 37-year-old intonation screw heads.  :(  Gotta order new strings and see if I can get replacement screws I guess and maybe look into replacing the nut.

Square Hammer on bass is up to 99%.  I won't chase perfection this week because I have other tings to do.

Thanks for the advice!  I read through the tutorial, doesn't seem too difficult.  I'm probably still going to have it done at a music shop, because I also want someone to take a look at my bass, give it a 'tune up' if there is such a thing.  I bought my bass from a large chain music store, so I want to be sure that it was set up properly, it seems like the strings may be too high, but I don't know.  That's why I want to take it to someone who does know, so they can fix anything that needs to be fixed.

I'll likely do it myself when I restring in the future, but knowing me, if there is a way to screw it up, I'll probably find it.   :)

Just to prove I wasn't cheating, and to stay in MC this week, my SA score:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKRWZVcFR5UDVpd2c/view?usp=sharing

I fear it may be at least six months of just fighting to stay in the class (just like three years ago when I somehow got into Advanced too early).  But I will fight to stay here. :)

In the meantime, 'cos I'm in D Standard... and I'm done with the CS D Standard songs this week, I've been playing some Volbeat...

There is such a thing as a "tune up", yeah, but it is even easy to do this yourself (instructions on the same web page I posted earlier).  But having said that, it's not a bad thing to have it done at a shop the first time - at least then you've got some sort of set-up to copy!  If you can speak to the technician at all, ask them to tell you what they've done to it.  It's a good way to learn. :)
