Only missed one note in the first half and 4 chords during the acoustic part but other than that it was perfect. Far easier than Kill the King was.

I've been skiing all day and by back is a little sore, so I'll switch to sitting and using the travel bass.  I'll post screen shots if I come up with anything interesting

Funny thing: I watched Morrissey in Washington DC last year and while he was playing Meat is Murder the screen behind the stage was showing videos and pictures of a slaughterhouse. Some guy behind me fainted, like on top of me. Fun times! He was alright, but for a while he had this zombified look in his face! :P

And that is only the passive part - it features a killswitch to switch between passive and active (18Volt-Preamp - 2(!) 9vblocks) mode. It has a full 3Band Equalizer with the mids further divided in low and highmids... http://up.picr.de/27759804bb.jpg For my first runs i used passive mode cause i wanted comparison to my old bass. Review say passively it sounds like a classic 70s Jazz Bass, i say i am really satisfied. Beginning of next year i´m gonna have time to go deeper into testing with basslines i know how i want them to sound. I´ll report.

Btw... Rise Against - that very very cool song made me spotify them (on a long laundry session :blink:) ... and i must say each and every song from the most listened tracks was damn cool - that is really strange cause on if i remember right Southside festival 10y ago - on a nice sunny afternoon there was -Boy Sets Fire... brilliant then -Rise Against... really boring and thus put into forget box and then -Billy Talent... great as expected. Either they or me must have had a bad day?

When I was younger I managed to 'play' the first few bars of Art Garfunkel's classic, 'Bright Eyes' using nothing but my bottom and self produced wind. (I also did a pretty impressive impersonation of a British Rail train horn)

 

So you got me thinking..... with the new update enabling the addition of the microphone......hmmmm....... <_<

 

It'll need some practice as I can not as yet pass the tuning stage (I think I have dropped an octave over the years) but with Christmas coming up with lots of Brussels sprouts, Turkey, stuffing and loads of fizzy drinks I just might crack it........

 

Obviously I wont dive straight into the higher classes as this may cause a 'Fatal Tragedy,' but will start with everyone's first 100% the Black Keys - Next Girl ....

yeah I can't sightread bass tabs on keyboards :'( they should put an option for sheet music (that would make us lazy bass and guitar players learn to read them, which would be cool)

don't get too cocky when you've beaten up this score tho, you don't even realize that you would need years of practice to get your stamina and 3 finger technique solid enough to play it on an actual bass.

In the old days rise against had 2-3 angsty crappy albums, but when they switched to a calmer more pop-punk direction they became great! People complain they arent heavy enough for a melodic-punk group but in punk its the message that matters, not how you deliver it! Most of their songs are very catchy. Its sad though, cause Tims voice has really deteriorated recently and i will be surprised if they release 2-3 albums before they disband :(
