Rocksmith cuts input volume to 17%

Tompisjuh

Question

Hello,

I have heard that more people than me have this problem, but I couldn't find any earlier topic about it in the forums.

Every time I start Rocksmith it adjust the volume of the "mic", that windows recognizes as the rocksmith cable, to 17%. If I don't have the cable plugged in it adjust any other mic connected to the computer. Is there any fix for this? Ubisoft doesn't seem to care so i thought maybe the community have made a patch or something.

Grateful for an answer and keep up the good work everyone! And don't forget! ROCK ON!

@@Tompisjuh - The game has a setting called the Real Tone Cable Gain which will override whatever you set manually. Try setting the cable gain manually (and then calibrating and whatever it asks you to) if you want a consistently higher volume.

@@Tompisjuh Note that there's a cable gain settings in the option menu of the game that allow to control that volume and it will keep it even after restarting the game which allow to get the volume you desire in the input.
