Sightread on this Talking Heads song. Didn't really know about Talking Heads until Rock Band - they're really weird, I like that!

Time to give my pick some love. Placebo is one of the first bands I ever saw live, back at Projekt Revolution with Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance and Mindless Self Indulgence when I was just a high school kid! This song is simply a hook riff and a chorus riff. And the chorus is just some of the notes from the hook, so it's very digestible for lead fletchlings.

I'm at 99.56% on And She Was - two misses.

 

Has anyone played Dirt on bass?  While RS recognized my notes, I really can't hear myself in the mix.  Does everyone have that problem? Or am I just old and deaf?  Or both?

 

Edit - never mind, I cross posted with the artist formerly known as @frippchen and see that it doesn't matter.

I'll try to fix it, set the bass tuning to drop D and move all notes a string down, hope it'll be a quick fix. First a have to fix the beat map, it counts all offbeats.

@@Gamut I don't mind the dislikes I just wish people would post why. I can then filter out if it's because they just don't like the song or they just don't think I did the track justice, due to my crippled hand in this case. (They sure didn't sympathise with my gammy wrist... I bet they park in wheel chair access parking spaces) :D I want constructive criticism about my playing so I can improve... If it's some bull shit reason that's nothing to do with my playing then , to quote Billy Connolly, they can "Gettifuh!" :D

Got the tapping part down and all the misses came from bad intonation with my guitar rather than not hitting the note correctly. Thankfully I'll have gotten new strings put on tomorrow so I should FC it soon after.

Taking a break is a good thing. Pushing yourself without any desire to do so is harmful. When you'll feel that hunger to play back, we'll be waiting for you :)

@@Adiosnoob It is normal, i`m too, once in year taking a break. Recently I didn`t play for a month. Guitars were close, but no desire to take them in hand was not. Now again want to play everyday. And skill seems same as was a month ago.

P.s. For more motivation buy some pedal or device (or new strings :) ). My new device Yamaha AG3 (Analog Mixer + asio sound card) :)

Until i testing a new device, recorded video. (Guitar was via pedals). And yet i changed positions a few notes, moved to other strings. In this way at all don`t need shift fret-hand.  I`m not sure that it is more easy for beginner, but i think it more right way to play this. What you think about this positions?
