Servitude on bass at 95%.  RS is far too forgiving.

Every time ive tried it, around the second chorus right before the solo my hand hurts :0 Very few songs have this effect on me... weird.

I dont know if anyone else gets that but what can i do to avoid it? Is there some excercise i dont know about?

@ I tend to get hand pain when playing at the lower end of the neck. What helps me is to slow the track down to a steadier pace and walk through the notes until it's comfortable... tweaking my hand position and relaxing my grip too helps. Speed up gradually but rest a little too so you don't strain any tendons. It might not be good for me but, I keep playing until it doesn't hurt anymore but, if someone with more knowledge than me advises otherwise don't keep playing, take their advice :) I don't want to damage you by giving irresponsible advice... this is just how I practice and try to overcome discomfort, it works for me but like I say, I might be going about it all wrong :)

Ok, because of poor results and overall lack of skill @NoonyDeloony gets downgraded to Advanced. She would be forever remembered as shameful person... and then she'll make another charming video and we'll forget about that.

@NoonyDelony Thats what i do too :) I dont know, when i started playing my hand hurt playing on the lower part  while guitarists and generally friends with musical knowledge told me they almost never experienced it. Now it happens with very few songs but from what i see 1-2 minutes of repetitive power chords on the first 4 frets cause the pain to me

I don't understand the image uploading system so :

@ Try to stay very relaxed and avoid weird elbow angles :) Do you play it like the tab shows ? I don't like open strings (bad sound and harder to mute with precision) so I play it with 5th fret on the E string instead of open As, maybe try it this way ?

Maybe they've forgotten what it was like when in your first couple of years or some folk are just blessed with the supplety of an infant :) I have heaps of friends young and old, pro and beginner and nearly all of them, despite experience on differing levels, have had some discomfort in some way, shape or form... not saying your friends are fibbing but, I think perhaps they've not found a song that gives them such issues and are playing rather basic songs ... orrrrr, they're all LIARS

(supplety is not a word apparently :( but it should be a word! /grumble... if you need my language translating into the queen's English you might want to ask @@albatross213 :) .)

I do it the same way as you because I can't be arsed faffing with hosting the image from another source other than my steam account :) I'd like to show the image so folk don't have to click a link but I'm too flippin lazy :)

@ If you use STEAM to upload pics:

1st - STEAM link does not end with .png or .jpg so it won't work on forum (for that you need hosting that produces link with proper end)

2nd - stop, STEAM can ban your uploading capabilities as well as pics (it happen to me with Metallica, Led Zepellin and Pink Floyd pics)

They put ban on me after I haven't uploaded any pic in half year. 25 pics banned from across 2 years, and 25 day ban on me. It happened to some others as well.

@ @@NoonyDeloony To be honest i do have small hands for an 18 yo :) I can BARELY do thumb chords and that with great effort! Where is a 7 string when you need it......... I have my eyes on a 7string schecter but im between that and digitech's drop but that is an entirely other matter. Tried it again and my hands are slowly getting used to it. Later Ill post my progress so far :)

@ Hand size shouldn't really be too much of an issue, your fingers, if they're short will make quicker contact with the strings so they'll be more nimble which is well suited to lead guitar... as for bass... Victor Wooten has real small hands and has no trouble melting faces :)

anyone has some songs or exercises to practice chords ? I'm quite bad at them

I'm not sure the answer to your question but on that note...does anybody know any good exercises for increasing pick speed? I have Steve Vai's 30 hour workout.  Just wondering if there are any other gems out there (especially if they are cldc)
