I haven't really played Running Free much tonight, apart form cancelling about three times in a row after missing the widdely bit at the start.

 

I have instead played some Editors, and increased my score by some 20% on some of them.  Okay - I'd only played them once before, but still 20% increase at first go tonight - not bad, is it? :D  This place and a bit of practice - fantastic!

Maybe 95% isn't dreaming, although I got this early on tonight, and got lots more 94% accuracy runs and much better streaks and scores afterwards, but couldn't beat the accuracy from this early run.

the harmony parts shouldn'd be played like charted, it's not the best way and much harder than I've played it. I guess the Lead path is done the same way.

I'm more of a fan of Portnoy DT than Mangini DT, but this tune was pretty good. Really loud, or is it just me? Maybe I just needed to calibrate.

Am I the only one finding the bass line for She Loves You to be deceptively tricky?  I'm aiming for perfection but I can't get past 99% because there are all sorts of notes that aren't quite on the beat.  I'm doing much better than when we played it many months ago, but it's still driving me nuts.

I hope his darling is dead now! Because I can't play the easy song. Again!

I can't find the golden mean on the 2nd fret of 6th string! And I guess on the 5th string too.

I can push the string till the end or I can just press it a little.

And all the time I get that annoying "Streak broken", "Streak broken", "Streak broken". Broken and broken again and again!

The Dream Theater cdlc looks good to me except a few things, like @@albatross213 mentioned, the solo needs definitely cut into at least 4 or more sections. Noone will learn it decent in only one long section. @@Nacholede Please if you redo the custom, arrange the solo into practicable sections. Best is always to make a section after every played prase which makes sense.... Then I noticed any unpitched slides sometimes that shouldn't be that way, don't know which exacliy at the moment. And another thing is, like also already said, also by albatross, the G#maj7 chord 466044, it sounds just crap with the open G string (and is no pleasure to grip). You can build a G#minor chord of it just 466444

So after getting two more 99.9%s tonight, the last one being the most frustrating because I cracked under pressure and failed on one of the last notes of the song, I went off, had another beer, and played some other songs.

 

Of course, I had to have one more go before hanging up my bass for the night, though:

I am slightly disappointed that despite the extra beer, I still panicked a bit at the end and didn't hit the notes exactly when I wanted to, but 100% is 100%, and it's the first time I've done it in Advanced. :)

@ - I fixed a bunch (maybe all?) of the things you mentioned in my version. I also recently (like a few minutes ago) fixed the time signatures (don't import) and added in the harmonics that were missing (from the import?). At this point I think I've done just about everything I can do in terms of polishing. If you notice anything else off, the notes.eof and guitar.ogg files are in the folder so you can add whatever modifications you want on top of mine.

I'm realising lately that, whenever I accidentally score 99% on Advanced one of these weeks and get to MC, I might be able to keep decent pace against the pros if I just get less LAZY. :unamused: I'm actually so lazy about practising things (especially solos :laughing:). I've played it 3 times now; you'd think I would have stopped at some point to figure out those chorus arpeggios. But nah! I just barely chug through them every time, and think "this is fine since I 100% the other half of the chorus". So lazy!!

Still haven't played since Sunday! :( kids are off, working weird shifts, crocheting a frog for my #1 son that turned into "the thing that should not be" (it's quite hilarious, my son however will be deeply disturbed by the monstrosity I created). I am hoping I can get to play DT tomorrow, it's been painful not being able to practice :( and i miss you guys' :(
