Volume Levelling Function for selected files

As much as the idea is great, it's sadly something extremely difficult to do properly for many reason :

-the song volume is not an absolute value but only a transformation compare to the original file used by the charter himself, if his file was quiet a high value in the toolkit it normal while the opposite might also be correct so the app would have to break down the CDLC to extract the original file, check the volume of the original file and compare it to a reference, then adjust the toolkit value while repacking it.

But that's only half of the issue, the hardest part is the tones :

-tones have a volume value that isn't absolute either

-depending on the effect the tone might need to be louder or quieter than the default value

-There's no possible way of knowing how the tones volume will exactly react before opening up Rocksmith and trying it out which the app won't be able to do.

So even if the idea is really cool and would be really helpfull, it seems sadly overly complicated to put in place.

I came to request exactly this. Some of my CDLC have backing tracks WAY louder than the ODLC. There may not be a perfect solution but adding an option to run CDLC through the 'gnormalize' audio normalizer would help at least the CDLC I'm having trouble with.

You can use the toolkit 'CDLC Creator' to do this for individual songs.  a) Press 'Import Package' button, 'b) change the Song Volume and Preview Volume as you desire, c) change the Version Number, and then d) press the 'Generate' button to repackage the volume adjusted song.

I realize this is not exactly what you want, but it is an alternative for now.
