So, I figured I'd make a thread for death metal and its subgenres. As there are a lot of songs charted for many such bands, for the most part I'll try to post one link per band and let you know how many songs they have on here.

 

This will probably start out pretty incomplete (and biased towards bands I know and charters of those bands). If you have any recommendations for other bands, or changes to the organization, or anything else, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Updated with several bands that I missed the first time around, and added a list for bands with lots of tabs if people want to get some idea of the which bands might be worth attempting to chart.

 

Also updated numbers for a few bands I remember seeing new songs from recently, but I'll try to go through more systematically this weekend.

@@Khaaoos - Wow, I totally dropped the ball by missing Bolt Thrower, not to mention some of the other bands. Thanks for the additions!

 

Anyway, in hopes of drawing a bit more discussion over here (rather than leaving it as just a catalog of artists), what do people think about the tracks that Obscura has released for their upcoming album? I, for one, am very excited based on what's shown up!

It seems most places primarily classify All Shall Perish as deathcore, so if I add them I probably should add others in the genre (Veil of Maya, and I'm sure there are others). Do you think a separate category for those would be best?

 

As for the other songs you mentioned, I don't see any tabs available. Are they Rock Band songs? If so, even if your ear sucks you might be able to tab them out based on the isolated tracks.

@@TheDeathryder - Unfortunately, there are no Semblant customs, and I see no Semblant tabs. Since this thread is dedicated to bands already have CDLC, or for whom there are available GP tabs for CDLC to be made, it doesn't seem appropriate to add them. Otherwise, this thread could conceivably have 37,000 entries.

Some bands that are already on here, but not on the list or at least I think should be: Behemoth, Decrepit Birth, Heaven Shall Burn (they could be labelled as core but still are pretty death), Kronos from France and maybe Mourning Beloveth, although they´re a doom band but also play death metal. We are definitly lacking more death metal on here, but you guys all do an incredible amount of work. So rock on \m/

Esp. thanks a lot for pointing out the not yet charted bands - i have got to throw myself on some Hypocrisy when there is time (sigh...) - i am just starting the charting but its not that hard (if there are very accurate tabs available)

Updated the list with some of the things that have been uploaded recently. Some of the bands that had songs uploaded recently were Nile, Death, SepticFlesh, Carcass, Behemoth, Suidakra, Be'lakor, Obscura, Abdication, and probably some others that I'm not remembering right now. Have fun working through the new songs!

Not sure if there are tabs around but, impaled from "mondo medicale" Impetigo? General surgery, cant quite fathom it but libido airbag would be an interesting one "techno goregrind" haha. Repulsion? E.t.t.s, lord gore, engorged would be awesome, death supergroup! but apparently they hated each other or something which may make it harder but "where monsters dwell" was a masterpiece, love to see some of that appear, kind of like anthrax and dying fetus mushed together. 

Any ideas where i could start looking for tabs myself?
