Nope, I hid from the FreeBird police.  I have a buddy that I used to work with who has the exact same birthday as me - day and year.  Our annual tradition is to raise a couple of pints and prove to ourselves that if you only play billiards once a year, you will always suck.  We did have to run from the billiards police, though. :)

Practiced it a bit more with the rest of the chorus riff (which I'm now damn near ironclad on), but not nearly enough to have mastered it. Between the string switching and position shifts I almost always lose my place.

 

Now I'm expecting @@then3verend to come swooping in on Saturday morning and crushing me.

 

On rhythm:

Bridge riff is definitely harder (to the point where I expect ~5 misses or more rather than... ~0), the post-bridge lead part is a bit harder (but still not troublesome once you've practiced it), but the post-chorus riff is a bit easier (to the point where I actually made it through without a miss the last time).

 

Bonus: Why your SA score can be misleading.

 

Also, gave Muse another run after some practice, yielding this:

http://i.imgur.com/DUAKQSE.jpgMessed up the transitions between the last two chords in the chord progression a few times. Otherwise missed a few of the notes on the A string, I think. After this I practiced the fingerings for the last two chords and the transitions between them did another run. It was going really well, then I totally flubbed one part in the last chorus and missed one more note than this run. I could 100% it if I really wanted to, but I don't care that much.

Complete ditto to @@albatross213 : pretty solid on just about everything but that insane melody at the end of the chorus. Huge pain to practice it when I'm forced to sit through a bunch of a riff that I have down pat first, so I probably just... won't. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Way too many other songs I'd prefer putting effort into this week!

Eh, it shouldn't be too much trouble for me to add in one section to make it easier to practice that riff. I'll see if I can get it done in a few minutes. If not, I'll probably just leave it and wait for @@Nacholede.

 

Edit: Ok, pretty quick and dirty updated version of Countdown. Modified a few things with how those riffs are played for both lead and rhythm, and added a section after the first chorus so you can RR them more easily. Haven't tested yet, but hopefully it works. Off to bed now.

I haven't any scores for Megadeth yet, I was waiting to see if the dlc would be amended to make the one tricky riff easier to repeat. Many thanks to @@albatross213 for that, works fine for me.

Won't be playing this again unless I'm feeling in a particularly masochistic mood, it's bloody agony of the hands ! Also it's very repetitive and not very interesting musically in my opinion.

Guitar part is fun though and I'm making decent headway, just not to the score sharing point yet.

@@Viltaire, I worked on the forth section the most. it looks like the beginning but everything  is mostly at the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th fret.  That was where i was getting leveled down so i worked it until i got just enough to stay at 100%. that is why it took till wednesday to finaly post a score!

Yeah that's the section I've been working on in RR as well. I can do it with 3 errors at 80%, but past that my fingers just go all sorts of herp derp on me. I took a full day off today as the muscle in the heel of my hand under my thumb was becoming really sore. Tomorrow I'll be hitting RR some more. Awesome job on getting to where it won't level you down man.
