I hated Royal Republic prev. time. I hate it this time too.

UPD: OK. I hate every song. I guess I need to stop.

What a bass line!  I really banged that one though, so I'd better give my arm a little rest now. lol

Bruno Mars - cool little song to have in the repertoire.

Graveyard - not a band I've heard off before, and with that name I was expecting some screaming heavy metal, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover a very cool song.

Aiming to 100% all three parts by weeks end.

Tomorrow I start on Helloween, looks hella difficult !

Was supposed to be watching a movie tonight, but I mixed up the days - it's actually on tomorrow

Started on MC bass instead, tough song but not as outrageously difficult as it seemed at first. Should be able to make some significant improvements, especially motivated after losing last week on streak length !

On a side note... Where can I request someone to make customs?

We have a few Graveyard customs out there, so we now need some Kadavar!

Yes and Purson, Blood Ceremony, with the dead, Horisont, Orchid, Mount Salem etc etc.

I added an update version (v2.1) to Eagle Fly Free, and posted a comment in the thread on some of the changes (I'm guessing I should still add buttloads of palm-muting to the guitar parts, though). I like the feel better on bass now. As you can see here:

Need to work on my tapping, though... I didn't even do a good job on the easy tapping patterns.

As for Hell Patrol... I really don't like this style of phrasing (too short: 2 measures for a reasonably fast song at 150ish bpm) and sectioning (why is the solo at the end of one huge section? Same goes for that chromatic root-fifth-octave riff, though it's not nearly as bad a wait). I'll probably tinker with it (DDC removal, add a few sections) so I can actually practice it effectively and score attack it, but if not, I'll be giving it a half-hearted effort this week.

In other news, I'm glad that people are liking Graveyard. I too was expecting something a bit heavier for the group that was opening for Clutch and Mastodon (how I first heard of them in the spring), but they do what they do very well. There's a reason @@Aludog, @@bernixix, and I have all charted songs of theirs (despite the fact that tabs for them often suck).

Edit: Not many Kadavar tabs, but Doomsday Machine looks interesting.

There already is a Blood Ceremony custom  ;)

Orchid's also on my radar. I'll check out the others, too.

But don't expect too much from me within the next few months.

I'm a huge Graveyard fan and I thank all of you guys with good taste and the talent to make it playable for us!

Clutch on the other hand I have been listening to longer than some of our younger members have been alive. Love that band, and they shall be on the song selection list promptly.

Also Mastodon!

I unfortunately missed that show as it did not stop in Chicago and I would have had to road trip it to Milwaukee . Totally regret not going.

Ok, because of poor results and overall lack of skill @NoonyDeloony gets downgraded to Advanced. She would be forever remembered as shameful person... and then she'll make another charming video and we'll forget about that.

I've been decorating the living room and listening to it on loop, hoping to play it on master mode by the end of the week. If you have a high tolerance for listening to the same song without hating it for a few hours, I highly recommend it @@genobadass :)

I seriously blast Graveyard out in the garage most every day. I have been in a Graveyard mood all summer. This is not an issue. :D

Also, I have very large speakers in the garage, so it is played properly.

Graveyard was totally new to me, too. I just sightread it:

Enjoyable play, enjoyable listen. Reminds me of a less metal, more psychedelic Red Fang.

@@NoonyDeloony , your videos are really coming along lately! Your groove is a lot smoother and you have really consistent tempo. Nice costume, too! I should have dressed as Papa Emiritus.... :P

Hahah! Cheers @@Gamut. I do feel I've improved the past couple of weeks so really pleased it's presenting itself in the videos :)I reckon you'd have made a pretty decent Barry Allen, you look loads like the guy who plays him in the series. :D

After putting some time in on improving my tapping:

http://i.imgur.com/bVIzfu0.jpgBig improvement in the score is due to staying at x50 throughout the tapping rather than being dumped back to x5. Still not particularly clean in my tapping, and I don't really have control over the second tapping pattern yet at full speed, but I'm pretty happy with my improvement so far. Especially since in this playthrough I bungled at least one note I absolutely should not have missed (probably because this was my third consecutive playthrough, and this song is fast enough to tire my right hand out).

Edit: Damnit, did I forget to check picked the last time I changed out the bass tab?!

Also, forgot to post this last time:

http://i.imgur.com/I9IULLy.jpgWasn't tripped up by a bend on this playthrough, which was especially frustrating. Pretty cool riffs on the bass part, and a little bit tricky to get some parts of it to sound great.
