Cdlc Problems

So I got Rocksmith 2014 and I was really excited to do some cdlc. I watched the video and read the article on how to get cdlc to work. I did all of it but when I try to do a song I tune up and then nothing happens, I can still hear my bass but the game doesn't do anything. If anyone can help, please do

What have you done to get it working?

 

Did you buy Cherub rock?

Did you copy D3DX9_42.dll to your rocksmith folder?

Did you try the updated version of D3Dx9_42.dll?

Did you try without the dll and with the rocksmith patcher?
