It seems that one of the CDLC is corrupted. Try moving all CDLCs to other directory and add them to dlc/ folder by parts/chunks and restart the app to see if any part is giving you the error .

After removing all CDLC and leaving only Official ones, it's counting the songs when I scan but it isn't showing anything on the grid at all. Not sure why its doing this. Thanks for the response

Our app doesn't support Official DLCs. You should try grabbing i.e. 5 cdlcs and pasting them into dlc folder. If they appear properly, cut them and paste another 5. Repeat changing 5-packs until you narrow down to the song that is causing issues.

"Error: Exception of type 'System.Exception' was thrown" happens if there are no dlc in the selected Rocksmith Installation Directory.  I added an error check for this condition in 1.0.0.8.

Not sure what else you did but the latest release 1.0.0.9 seems to have fixed the problem. Didn't have to do anything else except update it & now it's showing songs. thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind. seems after closing it and re-opening it, it doesnt work anymore. Same error..sigh ><

The first screen shot shows an XML error at 21696, 30.  Can you send me a link to the four files (settings.xml, songsfiles.xml, songsinfo.xml and debug.log) from your CFM folder in My Documents.  Looks like you are parsing over 7000 songs, is that about right?  Got a feeling that one of your songs is causing the issue.

I have 1364 songs in my DLC folder...nowhere to close to 7000 haha. This includes official and CDLC. Its odd because after installing 1.0.0.9 it worked the first time I opened it (saw the songs on the grid etc.) but after that first one it spits those two errors.

Heres those files you wanted: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B54Di8ApWLfzT2xocy1aVGRVYTg/view?usp=sharing

@Goofiestbee  Interesting files.  So songfiles.xml, and songsinfo.xml are empty. These files do not support the XML error message you received and reported above.

Please go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Rocksmith2014"

1) Is there a 'dlc' folder there?

2) Does it contain any songs?

Go to My Documents and delete the 'CFM' folder.  Restart CFM, select the Rocksmith Installation Directory.  BE PATIENT and let the app parse all the songs (DO NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE UNTIL CFM IS DONE PARSING).  Based on the debug.log, it looks like you may have been cancelling the scan of the 'dlc' folder before the program finished.  This could explain the inconsistent error messages.  Next time you get the "Error: There is an error in XML document (18222, 30)" send me your files again.   I still think it is a corrupt CDLC file.  You can use CGT program (follow my signature link below) to find corrupt CDLC.

Yes that is where all my DLC is located.

I have not canceled any scans to my knowledge but I will try deleting that folder & restarting the app.

EDIT: Yep still getting the same error. I'll try to scan for a bad CDLC using that program.

EDIT 2: Ran the CGT and it found "Eric Claptoon Cocaine" to be corrupt, so thats deleted. didn't say anything about anything else. Re-opened the Song Manager and still getting the error message

You should delete the CFM folder each time you get and error, so the program starts fresh.

Try to open a small subset of your CDLC collection.

1)  Create a new 'dlc' folder in you system root => C:\dlc D:\dlc or whatever your system root maybe

2)  Copy a couple of songs from your Rocksmith dlc folder to the dlc folder you just created.

3)  Delete the CFM folder in My Documents

4)  Start CFM

5)  Select your root folder C: or D: as the Rocksmith Installation Directory when asked.

6)  Let CFM parse the C:\dlc directory

What are the results?

I would glady if i was able. It seems as if its having trouble generating a new CFM folder now in Documents. It does what i stated above, though says "CFM Folder Deleted" in one of those pop up window notifications. Hope to get this working though. Ive been forced to use the old manager a user created a while back which counts my folder correctly etc. Not sure why im having so many problems with the official manager /: is it something to do with Windows 10? Thanks

@@Goofiestbee, yes, it might have something to do with Windows 10. Please take a look at this topic.

Looked through that thread. It seems nothing has changed after trying to run the "Setup.exe" in Administrator mode, still crashing without any reason why after trying to parse. Still can't re-create the CFM folder as well.

Try creating the folder manually and see if debug.log file is being created inside.

Manually created the CFM folder in Documents, then ran the program in Administrator mode. Starts to instantly Parse DLC folder still (Raw count 1304). While it was parsing I opened my CFM folder and it indeed spit a Debug file & a Settings file. After the "Parse" finishes, the application force closes still then it deletes the CFM folder i made manually with those files. :/

Follow these instruction here to create a small test dlc folder for CFM to work with.  If it works then the problem is how you have your songs separated.
