I think need change cdlc  by "Tool", bcs of there total off sync all, beatmap off sync, notes not synced with beatmap and too off sync, it impossible fix.

Mike Oldfield: too have  offsynced beatmap,  good that notes snapped to beatmap. Enough easy fix if author still yet have eof files. DDc impossible remove there.

The only issue in Moonlight Shadow are some double bends on B12 and G11. Here should only the G string be bended.

This ghost note is nothing, don't know what but not a ghost note. You can ignore it and nothing happens. If you didn't screenshot it I never would have noticed it.

About that 24th fret thing, it's hardly hearable what he is doing there, but it doesn't sound wrong, I've tried. But it seems I'm the only one with a 24 frets, so here is a transcription how to play it in another position. I also have tried this with 0 misses.

the last note in the 2nd bar on 22th is a prebend 1/2 step, the next is a bending 3 semitones

I will report those doublebend issues, but nothing big here.

Bad beatmap, shifted to right side, RS will forced to play late then you hear sounds, or you got "miss", and "early" :

P.s this red and yellow it is spectrograms, show power of audio signals in depend of frequency. Yellow low signal, red power, brown it max power - bass drum. Of course too need to hear  audio and claps and metronome in EoF only all together can help  make good beatmap.

Same here. I know it has something to do with the spectrum (i.e. range of frequencies in song, i.e. Fourier transform of a snippet of the  waveform of the song, which I think is how the music info is actually stored in mp3 files), but I don't actually know how to read it. Definitely seems like it would be useful for some things where it's hard to find beats in the waveform but there are notable chord changes or thuds of the bass drum or something.

 

@ - I just saw your latest post. Based on that I'm guessing that the darker color means a high intensity (volume), and that the parts at the bottom correspond to lower frequencies, while those at the top correspond to higher frequencies? I think I know how to use it now, but it would be nice to have a better idea of exactly what it is that I'm looking at.

 

 

Edit: Actually, I had a look back at the charting tutorials in case I completely missed something, but I don't think I saw anything about this. How widely known is it? Other charters, give me some feedback - do you know about this feature and how to use it? If I'm not just missing something and not many other people know about it, this seems like it would be very useful information to add to the tutorials!

I played that run and it still didn't sound right. Other than the 23 the rhythm doesn't seem right.

I tried again over this part with this phantom sign (it isn't a note, just a blue line on 20th) and again and again without misses there, sorry again. But I will also report this ;)

@@then3verend I check your cdlc, and can say that you need to learn all arsenal for making cdlc. Bcs of in your cdlc beatmap shifted in left side - RS  will early show notes, sounds later. And i check average time via "Song- Properties- Delay 160" (shiftted beatmap with notes) in EoF and it about 160 ms early. Bad result for ears. :)

Well, my Les Paul has 22 frets but i managed to hit those 24 fret notes, it's hard to do it quickly but i could

In other words, the quality of the CDLC is good but not enough, playing after the song finished is not a good thing

I also have reported this too long outro during the fade out. But those two things are minor issues and I hope they will be fixed soon. I always do it on the Metallica/Megadeth/Dream Theater songs that uses the 24th fret, i've always been doing that. And i had Infinite Dreams for a long time, it had a lot of issues but i focused more on One. And i hope it too! it's not my cup of tea, nothing else

@@albatross213 Waveforms in most  case useless if is spectrogram.  Of course you can listen audio+watch waves and find some points for anchors, but it anyway will not enough accuracy bcs in waves all instrument in one hip, especially for compressed a audio and for metal music.

Yes you right, vertical coordinate is frequency, horizontal time, color intensity of sounds.

And seems to me, i seen it in some of tutorials. Of course if it hard to find, would be good if you add some descriptions in suitable place for all charters. May be it improve quality future cdlc.

Also, trying the Rhythm path of Moonlight Shadow, but by thumb is killing me (pain in the joint) while trying to hold all those barre chords - how do you manage? I feel as if I press too hard, but if I don't, then all of the strings might not be properly pressed down .. :unsure:

@@axary try with every finger get close as possible to the next fret rod. Press just hard as necessary. Barres needs lot of practice first. Good luck

Sooo, i tried beat score Noony at a song by Metric, and a few  restarts and best that i get was 1543.  Most time i received only "good", and sometimes "early" . I started research wtf. Check beatmap cdlc for start, it was perfect, tried a bit adjust with a big zoom in EoF, and got yet less score. So i realized that RS think, that i have some latency in audio when playing a song (or i have low latency in recognition), and wants me forced to play a bit late then i really hear a song. Ok, fuck out sounds, and i start to play only seeing video with notes, and only sounds my bass, there result (not much "perfect",  bcs of i have not hobby to play seeing time notes, but at least i have some "perf" and good score):

I think so and it was more for neverend. He said he has only 22 frets and thats why I posted a transciption. Also he was it who didn't said anything about the issues in the Maiden bass path, cause he had his score? But these many issues caused I stopped practicing and skipped this bass week. But now are these two small issues a reason to change the song? Not really. Nevertheless, the issues are reported by pm, so we can hope to get a fixed version if RSBass doen't see it too late.
