Breathing Underwater was the song that made me dig into Metric. It's tricky but not that difficult.

But I have a question - how do you frethand mutes open chords?

For frethand mutes I don't think it really matters where your fretting hand is (so long as you aren't accidentally hitting harmonics). So if I played guitar I'd probably do it by plopping my fingers on the strings near the 2nd fret (so long as dramatic shifts weren't coming up). Real guitarists might have better advice, though.

You mean 10? That's one tough song to play (at least this version).

That's just one little 24th fret part. Besides, who has 24 fret guitar?

Started with the Bass

Breathing Underwater Bass

Cool song, but Metric is a little bit too Pop-like for me

Moonlight Shadow Bass

Could have been 100%, but im going to play this one way too much anyway.

Arcarsenal Bass

I really like these early Hardcore/whatever bands, awesome song.

Hold Out Your Hand Bass

I thought i could give a update on this one ;)

The Grudge Bass

Well... lots of fuckups and i didnt play with a pick, so not one single chord registered.

Lots of work here.

cheers!

Those lack of sutatins means I have to insta-bend to get that note to hit, theyre prevalent in the whole song

Also what the **** is this ghost note on the 20?

After both of these screenshots the song crashed. I also transposed that 24 fret run and its not right at all. I've made my argument, not playing this song this week. focusing on Bass until update(either on this song or new one).

Sorry, song chosen by bassist. :(

Anyway, some quick feedback on the songs after I've played through once.

Metric: Nice tune, and good for beginners. Not quite as trivial as Black magic, but still quite easy (though I wouldn't be surprised if people have trouble keeping everything muted).

Mike Oldfield: Really nice bassline, and not too difficult. Never really felt like I knew what I was doing when those notes on the G string came by, though. I'll have to take a look at that again later.

At the Drive In: Why is the scroll speed on this so damn slow? There were some places where the first time I saw a riff I couldn't tell which note was first for notes on the same string! Also some places that could use improved fretboard logic IMO, but otherwise pretty fun to play.

Tool: Why is the scroll speed on this so damn fast? Also, I'm not sure if it's the combo of the scroll speed, not being intimate with the song, and weird Tool rhythms, or just a bad sync, but most of the song I felt I was just reacting to whatever the game was telling me to do rather than playing along with the song. Not really feeling it at the moment  :( but I'll take a closer look at it later to be sure.

Edit: Also, @@then3verend, that thing on the 20 looks like some things I've seen on songs recorded on 5 or 6 string basses that are shoehorned into 4 string bass tracks (probably without making the necessary changes to notes). Off the top of my head, I think there's an example in the bass on this song. Not sure why something like that would show up in this song on guitar, though. Also, you're roommate's an ***, a ****, a *****, a ******, a *******, and a ********.
