-= [TOOL] - THE RS ROADIE - song selection list modification and setlist manager =-

Hi Rodman, I've been so excited about this since you first announced it. Thanks for the hard work!

However, I can't get it to run with Win7 x64 with an i7. I don't get anything in the event viewer for it, but I do get 2 errors from .net. I changed the fonts a bit so you can see where the second error starts.

This is the first error:

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

If I continue again, it goes into the interface but has no functionality. I can enter the DLC directory and it'll say it's scanning but after letting it run for an hour it'll never finish.

Can you please test the new ver. and reply!

It's the same in 1.3.0

I can't say that this exception gives much usable info (for me, atleast), so I'll have to guess what might be causing it...

http://www.mediafire.com/download/48p5b7ub53q0dxq/RSRoadie+V1.3.1.rar

Does it appear in this version, too?

Thank you guys. Yes it's the same.

I believe it's because I'm on an x64 system but I'm not sure. I can force .net to x32 with this command "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Ldr64.exe SetWow" in a command window. But it still won't search although it doesn't give me the startup errors that I posted previously.

There still isn't anything in the event viewer that's useful. The error below is what I got with 1.3.0. I forced x32 for 1.3.1 and there isn't anything in the event viewer at all. It just hangs at searching like the previous versions. While the search is going, the application isn't using any CPU resources and there's not any HDD usage.

If there's anything that you can think of for me to try just let me know and I'd be happy to do it. Thanks again!

I uninstalled/cleaned/reinstalled all versions of .net off of here and reinstalled them. I still have the same issue. I've scoured google to see if there's anything, else and I can't find anything at all.

Gorby and I had an issue with the custom game toolkit that was an issue with our i7s on x64. It was completely different than this, and it gave errors in the event viewer that actually had some info that could be used so Cozy was able to fix it. I'm completely at a loss here.

Well, I'm going to be putting a new mobo and processor in this thing in a couple of months so I'll give it another shot then.

Hmm, have you tried version 1.3.2. ? (In my last post)

You didn't mention temp files, so you probably skipped my last post. Without temp files, I'm totaly out of ideas...

Not sure if this is much of a help to you, but if the file name has a upper case letter in it - it is a CDLC.

None of the official DLC have upper case letters or file names longer than about 16 characters.

Extreme, More than Words - for eg, is named "extrmore_p.psarc" and (unless you have removed them manually) there will be a m.psarc file of the same name right above it, since Steam insists on downloading both the mac and pc versions of purchased dlc.

yea,i know that, but it's a lot of time and there are still exceptions that i found:

Official DLC:

Radiohead-creep_p (and 4 more songs from this pack)

Custom:

whoweare_p

forgetmenots_p

blacksunshine_p

rustinpeace_p

dawnpatrol_p

it was hard to find them...thats all i think (from what i had)...

i finally did it (+2000 songs) and now i have 2 folders - Official DLC Songs and Custom Songs...

ok,so now i did what i needed by myself, learned how to use the tool, now i need to do setlists !

thanks for not helping me at time,it makes me be more independent and it makes my brain to think more (i found why the tool didn't work for me and also i had/got idea how to seperate those songs the fastest way and find those exceptions) !  :D

Yeah thats what we do - stay silent and try to have the user use his brain!

Hahaha - first of all sorry, for some damn reason i didnt get informed no more that there were new posts no more.... i wouldnt have left you all alone otherwise.... BUT the sorting you had to do on your own, you now did - that is great.

I think the CD SongManager that is in development atm could be able to do that easily...

However - sounds like you are pretty much where you wanna be now...

if i can help you with any issues left  - let me know!

Just like to say that yous have done a great job on this new tool but is there anyway to modify it in a way that it is easier to sort out the many customs that i have ingame?

Great you like it..

Hmmm... For your question:

Thats exactly what it does - You can start RS with as few songs you like.

What you gotta do is sort to setlists (=subfolders in /dlc) - which can comfortably be done in the tool.

Please shout if you need any help

Hi, Thanks for this awesome tool!

Could you add tuning column to the Setlist Managers Unsorted Songs list? Now it is quite hard to remember what are the tunings of the songs, and I have everything from E standard to F low, and +2000 songs in the list. It would be also nice to be able to select all songs with the same tuning to add them to a setlist.

If it's not possible, then I guess I'll have to just try to remember which song has which tuning.

Thanks!

Great you like it, I fear you will have to sort that out yourself, as we have not planned to read out which would mean extract the listed files [emoji15]

But there is quite an easy way for your issue - open ignition next to the roadie and here you go!

May I missed what you mean - but I figured that since the Song Manager tab has the option to sort by / see tuning, then surely it wouldn't be that hard to add the same column to the Setlist manager tab?

  • 3 weeks later...

HI,

I just tried the tool and I have a few questions:

  • I created some setlists, and I wanted to start the game with only a portion of those setlists. But when I select them and click "Launch with selected setlists" I still see all of the songs. I disabled all my other setlists and still see the same problem. Why is this? ... Ah, found it, I have to disable everything else.
  • I wanted to copy files from /dlc to a set list but when i tried to put the same file in multiple setlists, it didn't work. It looks like "Copy to setlist" is, in fact, "Move to setlist"
  • Is there anyway I can do a pack like "Eb tuning" without making a manual list of all my Eb CDLCs?
  • I bought the RATM and Bachsmith packs, but they don't show up in the main page, only on the DLC page. Is that normal?
  • How do I copy an official song to a setlist?

Thanks,

L

I can't seem to remove all the RS2014 songs from my list. THey always appear but I only want to see one or two of them. I don't really care for the rest. So what do I do to remove them from the list?

Thanks,

L

Make sure that you save changes after you delete songs you want to delete.
