Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 83

Recommended Posts

@ - There are other songs with bass tapping  :D. I'm sure we'll get another chance soon.

Also, with regards to playing the outro on the E string, have people tried combining the sliding idea with that? Because that gets rid of the most awkward part of the sliding (going between open and fretted), so it might be even easier to work with.

Uhhh - I got work to do! :)

Edit:  How's your injury now?

Still hurts. I think I needed more rest. Got sick of not playing though. I'm going to try and take it slow as long as my competitive side can be held in check.

Not playing sucks.  I had  to have a couple of days off after falling on my hand, but ended up playing through the pain in the end.  I'm trying to take it easy but it never really happens.

You're probably quite safe with that score.  I doubt I'll better it.  I'm going to try though! :)

Of course, look at this

quote name="frippchen" post="153134" timestamp="1432569399"]I don't know why, but for any reason I cannot pass the outro in Addicted To That Rush with less than 30 misses.

If I try at full speed it's 30-50 misses, and even if I play in RR with speed down, at every speed the same, tried until 30% speed, the same. I tried many various ways to play, with hammer ons/pull offs, with slides, plugging each note, with pleck, also tried tapping (index on 3rd fret) and tried all technics in 5-8 fret on E-string, always the same, all about 50 misses and of course one strike in the end. If I get only 30 misses there I'm very lucky, but it doesn't matter which technic I use :(

Like I said, tried everything. But enough time wasted also.

@ I used slide+ pleck for open string(where puilloff) in start, then close to the end, slide+pleck+tapping for double notes. Im too tried 4 str 5-6 fret - and no sense same tons misses notes.

Yet may be you need to add gain for cable, for detection week signal ofh.on-p.off, i sure it must a bit help.

MasterClass Bass - 86%, 124 streak

Much better than I expected. I hoped only not to be downleveled, but it turned out 86%, having audience helps, I believe :P.

I agree that there is something wrong with the Outro. I used the Guitar Hero technique of picking hopos, and I saw miss on miss.

I got a good sized blister on my ring finger in the process. Take a few weeks off and it's like starting over.

Hello CS! Finally got my guitar fixed. I don't plan on being eternally missed, so here's that to get the rust off. Muse has so many b-sides I've never heard of.

Have never heard this one before either. Having played nothing but acoustic for the past few months, chords are really easy for me lately, but I'm super out of practice on the melodic shreddy stuff.

I got the distinct feeling that it wasn't as hard as it seemed, so I RRed the chorus a few times and it got a lot simpler.

Gonna take a lot of work if I want my advanced throne back.

I decided to stop being a whining capital B and play the advanced bass song for the week, regardless or genre or tuning.  I won't admit to drinking the Kool-Aid, but I did OK on the song after a few runs through in RR. I got up to 98.25%, but stopped there to avoid the debate about getting added to the traffic jam up in Master Class Bass.

For the record, I vote to let @@missis sumner stay in advanced because her scores will have no bearing on my learning or enjoyment, and scores don't really matter.

Yeah, thats a 5, maybe even a 4 in my difficulty...

I see where the trouble is on the two verses, and the fact that it is D standard...great for intermediate with a couple of hand transitions...but too easy for you advanced people...

Couldn't get muse without DD bumping me down.  The worst part is the part I got bumped down was just an E chord.  Well that and the solo.

Could've definitely done better on Int/Adv, just didnt' have the time to play this week.  Also once i was in D standard I stayed in it and messed around with some other songs.  Retuning sucks :P
