Great ideas for Christmas tunes, SlickWilly. I looked a little last week and found some ideas also.

1. 'Little Saint Nick' - The Beach Boys - The Beach Boys' Christmas Album (1964) Going to chart this one for sure.
2. ''Blue Christmas' - Elvis Presley - Elvis' Christmas Album (1957) - Going to chart this one also.
3. 'Wonderful Christmastime' - Paul McCartney & Wings - From: Single (1979)
4. 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town' - Bruce Springsteen - From: Promo single (1975)
5. 'Sock It to Me Santa' - Bob Seger & the Last Heard - From: Single (1966)
6. 'Thank God It's Christmas' - Queen - From: Single (1984)
7. 'Little Drummer Boy / Peace on Earth' - David Bowie & Bing Crosby - From: Single (1982)
8. 'Christmas All Over Again' - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - From 'A Very Special Christmas Volume 2' (1992)
9. 'Christmas Time Is Here Again' - The Beatles - Fan Club Single (1967)
10. '2000 Miles' - The Pretenders - From 'Learning to Crawl' (1984)

@avdocatwork

I did some bass testing for your songs

Black Sabbath - Laguna Sunrise
Interesting choice to use the low guitar notes since there's no actual bass in the song
I like.

The Guess Who - These Eyes
alot of missing notes at the end and some here and there throughout the song
I can fix the tab if you want

Them - Baby Please Don't Go
No F note (3fret) before run just the G (5fret)
last run needs to be a Bb (3fret) not G (5fret)

G----------|---5--3-----------3---------------|
D--333-5-|---------6--3--6-----3-----------|
A-----------|-----------------------------------|
E-----------|-----------------------------------|

Them - Gloria
I didn't really hear some of the doubled up notes being played at certain times
other than that good tab

Three Dog Night - One
good tab
During the high sustained "ONE" lyric the ending run is:

G-------------------|
D-------------------|
A----2-3h--2-3h--|
E--------------------|

unlike the others:

G--------------------------3--------|
D-------------------2-3h-----------|
A--------------2-3h----------------|
E------------------------------------|

Hi Guys,

Added a cool song to my Classic Rock 6-pack. Walter Egan - Magnet and Steel. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, members of Fleetwood Mac, sang background vocals on this tune. The Bass line is pretty easy I got a 96 after a few tries and the lead solo is really easy also. Just need to simplify some chords in the Rhythm, Lead, and Bonus Lead paths and it will be done. Here is what I got so far. I think it's going to be a good one for sure.

Also The McCoys - Hang On Sloopy is finished. I think it turned out pretty good also.

@avdocatwork I haven't tested the new ones yet. I'll take a look at these later. :)

The McCoys - Hang On Sloopy - 1965

Walter Egan - Magnet and Steel - 1978

The Guess Who - These Eyes - 1968

Also, I've been working on some Who songs lately "Sister Disco," "You Better You Bet," "Pure and Easy," and "The Song is Over".  I was wondering if you needed any help with the Bass on "Christmas" for the CRC Christmas pack?

I don't know if you are still online, but your Sly & The Family Stone Bass Custom was hanging up at start up, for me. I had one of my customs hanging up on start up last week, found a miss named tone change in it. Don't know whats happening with yours. It could be my PC acting up, I don't know.

Sly & The Family Stone - Hot Fun in the Summertime - Single

The two Sweet Customs worked fine.

Sweet - Solid Gold Brass - Desolation Boulevard

Sweet - Breakdown - Desolation Boulevard

The Who - Christmas (from Tommy) is coming along pretty good. Transposing piano for guitar parts at the Tommy can you hear me and the See me, Feel me, Touch me, Heal me parts. Thanks for suggesting this Christmas tune - I think it is going to turn out to be a popular Custom around Christmas time, at least to those who have seen and liked the Movie Tommy, like I have. I like that Who tune you are doing, You Better You Bet, one of my Who favorites.

@avdocatwork
I did some bass testing for the new ones. Also, glad to hear that the Sly and the Family Stone Custom was fixed and working for you.

The Mccoys - Hang on Sloopy

Entire tab off by 1 fret. Currently 3-5 fret pos needs to be 2-4 fret pos.

Walter Egan - Magnet and Steel
In the last chorus there's a B note (2nd fret) is repeated for another measure instead of going back to A open

oh and I think the turnaround run in the chorus is:
G-----------------|
D-----------------|
A---0----2-3-4--|
E------2----------|

not
G-----------------|
D-----------------|
A---0-0-2-3-4--|
E-----------------|

The Guess Who - These Eyes
I'm fixing the missing notes that I hear, I'll send you a .zip when I'm done sometime this week
:)

Hi Guys,

I have added more of SlickWilly's Bass fix's and some of my 6-string fix's to my Classic Rock 6-pack soon to be released on CustomsForge.

avdoc & SlickWilly's Classic Rock 6-pack. These will be the final versions with fix's added.

Black Sabbath - Laguna Sunrise - 1972

The Guess Who - These Eyes - 1968

Them - Baby Please Don't Go - 1964

Them - Gloria - 1964

The McCoys - Hang On Sloopy - 1965 - Watch out this tune will get stuck in your head and will be on automatic repeat for a long time. :D

Walter Egan - Magnet and Steel - 1978 - Magnet and Steel is a very easy tune to play and has one of the easiest Lead Solo's ever. Fun song to play.

Hi Guys,

crude has asked to join The Classic Rock Coalition, looks like he is a six-string Guitarist. Don't know where he is located in this world. He hasn't charted any Customs yet, it looks like, but I'm sure he is willing to help out here at The CRC. Just to let you know crude a little about the history of The CRC we are a group of Magna Charters that have got together to share Charting information and test run each others new customs and suggest corrections before posting them to CustomsForge. Many of The Classic Rock Coalition Members started charting Customs way back in The Smithy Anvil Days, what was it 2012  to 2014 I can't remember. Then CustomsForge started up and we all got together and started The Classic Rock Coalition. And now here we are still charting away. So everybody welcome crued to The Classic Rock Coalition, looks like we have 20 followers to this area now. Just to let everybody know this is an open forum now anybody can see and post here.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you guys know that yesterday, I was a stagehand at the band Chicago's concert here in Dallas, TX. I worked setting up and breaking down the audio for the show. I was backstage for the performance also. Earlier this year I was a stagehand for the Tony Orlando show here in Dallas also. You may know about Tony Orlando and Dawn from the 70's, but Dawn wasn't with him at that show.

I took some pics and video of the show. I don't know if there are any original members left. But here is the present lineup.

Chicago Concert 12/28/2018

Robert Lamm – keyboards, vocals

Lee Loughnane – trumpet, flugelhorn
James Pankow – trombone
Keith Howland – guitar, vocals
Lou Pardini – keyboards, vocals
Walfredo Reyes Jr. – drums
Ray Herrmann – saxophones, flute
Neil Donell – vocals, acoustic guitar
Brett Simons – bass, vocals
Ramon "Ray" Yslas – percussion[182]
Touring musicians
Nick Lane – trombone (sub for Pankow 2018)
Larry Klimas – saxophones, flute (sub for Herrmann 2018)

Hi Guys,

I had a crash on my main PC that I play-through my customs on, but my main PC that I build customs on is working fine. I am still working on The Cars 6-pack, about finished with The Cars - Its All I Can Do (Remastered) the 5th of the 6-pack, I have got my main PC that I play-through my customs on back up but have to load all my programs again. I have been very busy with my new full time job and family commitments, amazingly, I am now an Audio/Video Support Specialist in the IT Department at the University Of Dallas, The full time job is cush and just what I have wanted to do for years.

I hope all is going well with everybody, I will keep in touch.

Hi Guys,

I am on the hunt for tickets for the ZZ Top 50th anniversary tour here in Dallas, TX 5/17/2019. With Cheap Trick & Bad Company. Found some at Live Nation Lawn 4-Pack $27.50 + Fees.

4 Live Nation Lawn 4-Pack $110.00 ($27.50 x 4)
Fees $11.75 (Service Fee) x 4 $47.00
Tax $3.88
Total
$160.88 = $40.22 each

Otherwise -

2 Standard Ticket $69.00 ($34.50 x 2)
Fees $13.60 (Service Fee) x 2 $27.20
Order Processing Fee $5.00
Tax $2.26
Total
$103.46 = $51.73 each

I think I will go for the 4 tickets and sell two of them to friends.

Saves about $11.00 a ticket if I buy 4 and sell two to friends, and keep two.

Hey Guy's does this Classic Rock Coalition site still exist? Sorry I have been gone for so long!

After getting a full time job and working too much overtime also, and a monster computer crash that I finally fixed, and am now able to play rocksmith again, and test run my customs, I have finally posted some CDLC's to CustomsForge again. A Tribute to the late, Ric Ocasek, front-man of new wave pioneers, The Cars. I had started on them early this year and kind of fell off the grid until now. Will try to keep in contact and chart and play guitar more, the things I like the most!

The Cars - three pack
The Cars - Dangerous Type - (Remastered) - 1979 - V2
The Cars - Magic - (Remastered) - 1984 - V2
The Cars - Tonight She Comes - (Remastered) - 1985 - V2

Hi Guys,

I have started using Ad Blocker Plus to get rid of the ads at customsforge that are getting in the way.

Link for Google Chrome version: https://adblockplus.org/ It works for me.

I have started on some new customs after nearly a year. More Cars, Sex Pistols, Motörhead, Black Sabbath and Willie Nelson so I can work on perfecting a decent Acoustic Guitar Tone, Hopefully!

Please remember these ads do support CF. You can use ADP just to block the bottom ad and keep the remaining ones to still support us.

Much appreciated.

I really don't mind the ad's at all, it's just the bottom ad that gets in the way when trying to get to the record page in ignition search. It's pretty hard to hit the (go to record page) button with the ad right on top of it. even with ADP there is still the X close block there but ad banner is gone. I always go to the Charters record page to see what the Charter has to say about there CDLC and read the feedback they get if any. I don't think most members of CustomsForge bother to go to the record page. (I could be wrong) - Later, avdocatwork
