I've been having elbow pain for the last few weeks. I have researched it , and I might have to take 4-8 weeks off to recover the tendons. It appears I could cause serious damage if I keep at it. It hurts to open the lid on my water bottle at this point.  I have been playing through the pain until now. I do not know what I'll do without playing everyday. Maybe I can work on my right hand some. Get my speed up and string skipping I guess.

 

I think I'll probably post a score once a week in my class to keep my diehard status, but I will not be competitive. I have had a great run, and I really appreciate what everyone does around here to organize this. Also, the people who put time in to make the customs rock! I have had a great run, and I look forward to coming back with a vengeance.

Best of luck with your recovery - you may find that if you stop completely it'll get better quite soon.  If you do post a score for DH status make sure you check your playing position.  :unsure:

I'm sure my awful playing posture has a lot to do with the injury.

 

 

I had a similar problem with my elbow for years, correcting my posture helped a lot but I did have to lay off playing for a month or two. Good luck, elbow problems definitely suck.

Did a first real attempt at the slap track. After switching everything down to the E (slap) and D (pop) strings, I managed to do OK. Might do an attempt in the next few days restricting myself to slapping as transcribed before I practice it too much just to quantify how terrible I am at it. Probably won't be able to get through the song without striking out or DD dropping, though.

Is this the "Tennis" elbow injury or similar?

 

Really sucks when something like this stops you playing, my fret hand is just getting over tendon issues, lasted about 6 months after seeing the doctor and physios.

hey all who play the white shirt bass, I found a little issue in the custom. I suspected that in v1 we played with the guitar tone since I recorded the video and saw there a Marshall amp and just checked with the TK, and yes, it was the guitar tone  :ph34r:

In version 1.1 the bass sound improved by selecting the right tone, nice & dirty.

and don't worry, no stats are gonna be resetted.

Well, I did a try at "Your White Shirt" trying to play the notes where transcribed... I made it a whole 4 phrases into the song on score attack. After that I tried it on learn a song, and somehow managed not to get any of the phrases downgraded.

In other news, I think I'm starting to get the hang of the basics of making CDLC, so I might set up a workshop soon. At this point I've got a couple of things that seem to be in playable form, and a few others that I've started collecting various files for. I have very little idea what I'm doing with tones (especially guitar tones), though.
