This week's selection went smoothly. Thanks ladies and guys.

Yup, I already hear all this moans - "but Hotel California was already selected, so what about not selecting already selected songs?". So let's start with the beginning - Hotel California was week 13 pick. Yes, that was back at Smithy's. Only the oldest Organizers can remeber that :P The trick here is that it's not in Songs Played list. So I decided that if it's not there we can go with it.

Now with basses. Fishbone and Eagles are 9. So Advanced had to get really tough bass song. I felt that Hotel is easier (I got better score), so I went with it for our Advies ( ).

Lead beginner is perfect pick. Chords and fun easy solo. Great pick @@Gamut.

Int rhythm can become beginner. It was hard for me to tell.

Well, I felt that if you're in MC rhythm you probably have capo. You can try to play with your 1st finger as capo. It'll be tougher, but not impossible (at least in majority).

I would not allow capo for Beginners.

As a beginner I even have a capo and use it in a bunch of songs on and off Rocksmith. Bought one for $5 on Amazon and works great. I agree that if you can spend a few hundred on a guitar and the game AND you're playing long enough MC, probably even Intermediate that you'll have a capo. But so many good songs, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, It's a Long Way To the Top, Jesus of Suburbia everything from The Smiths. Worth it!

Oh, oh.  Something's not quite right here:

95%, yes.  100%, not likely! :D

BTW, I have played it before, but downloaded the version in the link for the competition.  I don't know what's gone wrong?

Beginner Lead - 97%, 224 streak

Beginner Bass - 98%, 198 streak

That was fun to play. Will definitely play it again.

Intermediate Lead - 91%, 98 streak

Intermediate Rhythm - 95%, 137 streak

Well, that was not so fun. Fretting hand hurts just like when playing Jump in the Fire (!). Maybe I'll try it...

Advanced Lead - 81%, 61 streak

MasterClass Bass - 82%, 85 streak

That's not my cup of tea. It was interesting, though.

Advanced Bass - 87%, 126 streak

I played it in all paths. That was embarassing on guitar...

wasn't able the set the score attack, so i assume 100& riff repeat next best thing.  if not i'll try another later.  just really glad to have this competition to help push me along now that i can make my fingers respond now and then.

again, thanks to all involved.

There is some bug with the "Mastery" rating of this particular custom.  Accuracy seems to be calculated correctly, but Mastery gives an easy straight 100%, with no bonus from Master Mode or anything.  My guess is that something is set up weird with the song section tags, or maybe the "end of guitar" flag is set really early in the song or something, so it doesn't count most of the sections when determining Mastery.

For weirdness and bugs with sections (or songs with NO sections), I find that running the song through DDC and/or DD Remover can fix things.  DDC isn't perfect about putting section breaks in the most musically correct spots, but it makes up for it by being fully automatic.  So, I'll run the song through DD Remover and see if that helps with this bug.

BUT anyway, for the Championship we only really look at Accuracy, so the bug with Mastery doesn't necessarily matter as long as the Accuracy is counted properly -- which I *think* it is.  Here's my playthrough today to show the same issue you had:
