Suggestion Regarding Tunings

Drift

Question

I was thinking creators should start tagging songs that are not tuned to match the background track as such.  What I am getting at is that some creators are making CDLC that does not match the tuning of the backing track because "some people do not like to drop tuning".

I personally cannot stand this as I play through amps and my guitars and bass are very prominent within any given song.  When songs are created in what I would call funky tunings this generally creates a horible clashing of notes.

I understand music can be transposed but you would really need to pitch shift the entire backing track to match for that to sound right.  To each his own, but if you need to turn your amp or in game audio all the way down in order to "not down tune" then you might as wll be playing Guitar Hero.

Oh I would agree it's probably fixable (and I will look into that so thanks!) .

What I am speaking about most are those songs that are intentionally in the wrong tuning just to avoid retuning guitars.  I just think that should at least be in the liner notes if not the title.  I just get frustrated I guess.  You are all geeked to play a song you love only to have it sound like garbage.

Yeah, poor quality audio and/or off pitch tuning usually gets a swift hit of the esc button here too :)

I hate tuning my strat for slight adjustements (spring bridge needs to balance so out it takes a few goes on the pegs), but I hate off pitch songs even more.

If you need help changing tuning just start up a thread in the toolkit section and I'll help out of no-one gets there before me.
