Sigh.. mi right wrist hurts so much, i fear it could be tendinites, but it's possible to the picking hand ? I always tought the risk of hurting yourself playing was prevalent for the fretting hand :(

Yes, it's possible.

 

Try to focus on a more relaxed posture, stretch before and after playing, and if you start to feel your arms or hands hurting maybe you should take a short break before playing more songs :)

Make sure that you're not squeezing the life out of the pick too.  The will cause tension in the rest of your hand, wrist, and forearm.

 

You should only be holding the pick tight enough to not drop it.  But it should still wiggle around between your thumb and index finger a little bit.

 

You can also try adjusting your posture or how you play.  If you normally stand, try sitting and vice versa.  You can also take a look at how and where you strum.  If you're strumming too close to the bridge you may just be bending and straining your wrist too much.

Ha,ha,ha :D just don't be scared by a little of pain.But don't try so hard, just keep your own pace.Learning guitar isn't a easy task like preparing food or cleaning a toilet.It requires years for perfection. If you strain your limbs at some point that pain is unbeareable then you are doing it the worng way. Nice and slow first and know your limits. If you are learning in a hurry like somebody else is putting pression  on you then you aren't learning at all.
