How tocreate basic riffs over click track?

kevb

Question

Hi all,

I'm using RS12 and want to create some basic practice rhythm riffs over a click track to play along to. I've had a look through the tutorials, but they all seem to be focused on converting an existing song.

Could someone point me in the right direction as a start point please?

Thanks

Just to get started:

You can create your riffs in guitar pro and import them into the program EOF.  EOF needs an audio file first before you can do anything.  You can create a click track in audacity (Generate - Click Track - Export to OGG), or you can you use an silent audio file (Generate - Silence).  If you use a silent audio file you can add a click track using the Rocksmith Toolkit.

If you don't wanna use guitar pro you can enter your riffs directly into EOF.  Make sure you click Song- Track - PartRealGuitar22. If preferences (F11) - input mode - piano roll are set to Classic Mode you drop notes on the fretboard by right clicking on the string and pressing F to enter the fret number.  There's a lot more to shortcuts and stuff so just click help for more info.

That's just how to create the chart.  How to pack everything into Rocksmith 1 I don't remember :( because everyone's moved on to 2014.
