DDC in part of the song only 2 levels

Recommended Posts

Hey

I'm busy making a new CDLC, I generated a DDC to test it.

Made a DDC with 5 levels. But in the last part of the song the DDC only give me 2 levels instead of 5.

I also tried to add more levels but its always the same part of the song that only gives 2 levels (it a very low purple bar in RS.

I tried to repack it, reimport in EOF, double and half the BPM but it just stays the same.

Anyone also has this problem?

If two adjacent levels contain the same sequence of notes they are merged together.

So the final number of levels depends of the difficulty of the current phrase (number and placement of the notes which belong to the phrase).

Did you try with the following settings ?

 - Ramp-up model : "ddc_default"

 - Config file : "ddc_keep_all_levels"

Thanks for the link, but this didn't help. I followed the tutorial completly but the last sections only get 1 difficulty level from DDC

The last sections are indeed a sequence of the same notes. Using the settings did't help. The last sections say the same.

You have a lot of warnings at the beginning of the log file :

- The song have some time signatures like 16/X and 14/X and the config file doesn't contain these models

- Many phrases don't start on the main beat of a measure (please correct these wrong phrase positions)

The flat model of DD is mainly due to the lack of the two specific time signatures (I will send you a new config file tomorrow) ...

@@davelancel, you've got your time signature set, right? you see it separate your beats to bright white and gray? be sure that you've got correct time signature, then set correct time sig or phrases placement, ty.

@@davelancel, replace the three config files in the DDC subfolder of the Toolkit by these new ones : ddc_config_files.zip

Then generate again your DD as usual ...

Thanks, this work perfectly!

How did you do it, what did you change?

In the config file, you can define the ramp-up model for each time signature :

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<config>
  <maps>
    <timeSignature beatsPerMeasure="1"  categoryMap="1" subCategoryMap="1 9 5 13 3 11 7 15 2 10 6 14 4 12 8 16"/>
    <timeSignature beatsPerMeasure="2"  categoryMap="1 2" subCategoryMap="1 9 5 13 3 11 7 15 2 10 6 14 4 12 8 16"/>

The "categoryMap" define the category for each beat inside the measure and the "subCategoryMap" the subcategory for each note inside a beat.

Then, the ramp-up model define which category and subcategory are selected for each level of difficulty.

For your song, you had some measures with a 14/x and 16/x time signatures which were missing in the config file, so I added the two lines for beatsPerMeasure="14" and beatsPerMeasure="16" in the config file ...

You can find more explanations about DDC in the following tutorial : DD Creator
