Metal Rock oldies electronic trippy music (trance, downtempo, goa)  a little of the older rap.  Love industrial (KMFDM, Skinny puppy)  I dont really like metal when they just scream and you cant understand it unless there is a section of the song where they sing normal then I like it with the combo.

I like every sub genre of rock/metal music. The only thing that matters is originality and drive. So it can be classic rock, stoner rock, heavy or thrash metal. Also some types of death metal or grindcore. Maybe my most favourite style, especially when I was a 15 years old kid, was some oldschool NY hardcore or punk (Agnostic Front, Biohazard, Warzone, Murphys Law etc..)

Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Rock.

From Metallica, Iron Maiden by AC/DC, Muse, Guano Apes all the way to Rolling Stones and Queen. I like many types of music but hate some too (i.e. Nirvana is ok, while I can't listen Soundgarden).

I started listening to punk (the original punk), got into metal, then indie.  I have since added a lot of blues and some jazz and country.  So I 'd say I listen to just about anything that I feel is real music and not just something shoved together in a studio to placate people who cannot be bothered listening to anything of any substance. So most of the stuff in our charts in the UK I would pass on.  I don't care if it is from the 30s or recorded in the last week or what the genre is.  My friends call me a music fascist but I just think I have good taste ;-)

Without a doubt, Prog Rock is by far my favorite style of music to listen to. Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Rush, Kansas, ELP, etc...  are among my very favorites. I also enjoy some more modern Prog outfits Like Liquid Tension Experiment, Transatlantic, Porcupine Tree, Spock's Beard, Aeryon, and especially Steven Wilson's solo stuff.

I tend to enjoy what I call Melodic Prog, similar to what was developed in the late 60's, through the 70's, and early 80's. I am not as big a fan of Prog Metal, like Dream Theater, etc... that became more popular in the late 80's and 90's. Though I do occasionally listen to it.

I also like a lot of what is now called Classic Rock, as it's what I grew up listening to. I also like the Blues, and am also a pretty big fan of Jazz Blues, and Fusion Jazz, and jazz in general.

All kinds of rock and metal, although I would have to say prog metal/rock are my favorite. I am also really into thrash metal, industrial metal, alternative rock and classic rock, although I also listen to grunge and some alternative metal. My favorite bands are top favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Dream Theater and Radiohead.

I'm not a big fan of bands that have screaming vocals when it is used excessively, especially EVERY word is screamed, even though the song is not aumenting in tension or the mood or theme does the fit with the aggressive tone. Bands like Between the Buried and Me (great band), Avenged Sevenfold (Waking the Fallen) and Bullet For My Valentine are some of the few bands that I listen to that commonly use screaming in their music. I'm not quite a big fan of some punk rock out there either (Green Day and Blink 182...), they are blatantly lacking in complex structure and other core elements that I like in my music.

I mostly love heavy metal and its subgenres like metalcore, progressive death metal, nu metal. But also I try not to label myself, I enjoy soft stuff too - alrernative rock, recently some rap and I've always appreciated classical music. Generally I try to find something intresting in every genre except mainstream pop (Miley Cyrus etc.), trance and dubstep.
