@@tdudley It all takes time man, I'm into my eighth month now and I know the first month was really fast and this past month I've came on leaps and bounds but everything in between has been painstaking and slow. Stick with it and you'll be giving the masterclass players a run for their money. 81% isn't that bad anyway.

No idea why the link pasted incorrectly, must have clicked on the wrong copy to paste o.O

My intermediate song got chosen, yeay!

Reading through all the posts I figured for some people Hypnotize seemed too easy for intermediate.

I do agree that it is much easier than some of the recent songs, but this is what I think about it:

In my opinion a song selection should be based on the "total" difficulty, not an "overall" difficulty.

The solo from Hypnotize is definitely intermediate, so the whole song must be intermediate.

In a couple of recent intermediate songs the overall difficulty was fine, but the solos were masterclass (from my point of view). It is frustrating to play such a song, because even if I a good job on the rest of the song, I cannot say that I "know how to play this song".

I hope you understand what I mean :-)

Anyway, here is my score:

Lead: 98.18 % (Master Difficulty :) )

Rhythm: 98.77 %

Check out my easy tutorial on how to add a metronome to your CDLC: Mute the original music, play only with the metronome and find out how good you really sound! Also: Find CDLCs that have the metronome enabled!

Want a USB-Footswitch that you can use to control the tone selection and all the menus in Rocksmith? Check out Rodman's Tutorial and my additions to that!  Footswitch_Logo.png

My CDLCs: Devin Townsend - Life, Deep Peace, Ih-Ah!, Deadhead; Farin Urlaub - Ok

My ideas for new features in Ignition, e.g. filters for Multitrack CDLC and Metronome CDLC.

Yeah, I've been practicing pretty much daily since December.  I'm still pretty bad, but I know I'm improving.  A lot of comments were saying this song was too easy for intermediate, so I thought I'd do better at it than I did.

Hypnotize can defend itself, as it's definetely Intermediate song. And you're right about solos. They're integral part of the song, and if they're too hard for Int, song should go into MasterClass. Though, sometimes it's hard to tell when song goes to one class or another.

Random miss detection  chords killing me:

Fuck, lost screen  :D

@, I don't know if yours is the same problem as mine, but I had a very hard time getting the 5-5-5 bare chords registered.

I ended up frethand-muting them throughout the whole song - worked nearly perfectly, even though that's not how it is supposed to be played...

@ @@Azrael I stopped getting chord problems when I moved to using my amp and Rocksmith at the same time, I set my cable gain to +9DB, turn the guitar volume off, calibrate with the volume knob low then play with my volume and tone knobs however I want. Maybe the gain needs to be much higher for certain chords to register properly and if you play with your own amp you obviously won't hear the horrible tone that produces in the game.
