  1. Hey guys, I wasn't sure if this was the best place to post this, but it seemed like a decent fit. I've really been enjoying all the amazing work everyone has put into creating custom DLC for Rocksmith 2014, and I decided to give back in my own little way. It's kind of OCD, but some of you might find it helpful. I wrote a little program that will go through your DLC folder and rename all the PC DLC songs to match the embedded metadata, so it's easier to see what songs you actually have by keeping them consistently named. I also use it just to help identify songs that have incorrect metadata so I can manually fix them using the Custom Song Creator Toolkit. Here's my github page: https://github.com/Darrken/RockSmithDLCRenamer Make sure you read the ReadMe on that page! The source code is all there, and the program itself is in the "exe" folder for those that don't want to compile it on your own. :) I'm actually using methods from the Custom Song Creator Toolkit to get the metadata, so you developers will see some familiar DLLs in the Bin folder. I hope some of you find this useful. Update: Dropbox link to compiled program
  2. Is there a program yet to scan your CDLC and correct any files that kill the tone in RockSmith? every other day I play at least a song kills the tone. and with i dunno roughly 8,000 songs downloaded. (estimating over 2,000 loaded) it's kinda a pain to manually go through them and keep track of them. and then load them into the toolkit and repack them to try to fix them. So it's been awhile, I figure there could be a tool to do this, if not, is there a chance there could be one at one point? Thanks, -Dev
  3. Is there a tool or program to check your CDLC for missing tones? It seems every time I play, My tone dies. and by the time i realize I have no idea what song caused it but I play different songs all the time, so there are likely several that are causing it. So a tool that can go through, Identify what ones ones are missing the tone, maybe even auto add in the default would be nice, as it would stop the tone from dying, (which then causes me to exit the game to go back in.) I know there's a post, where they are trying to keep a list of all the songs that cause the dead tone, and I've gone through it. and recompiled many songs i have that are on that list thinking it's better to be safe than sorry. But i have roughly 8,000 songs. (not all loaded at the same time of course) but that would take forever to go through them 1 at a time, as well as that posting, plus the versions could be different that cause it as well as different people making the same song *Shrug*
  4. Is there a program to rename my CDLC for me? When I download CDLC i open the Page for the song and rename it as: Avenged Sevenfold - I Won't See You Tonight (Part 01) (Drop D) (Lead, Rhythm) (RR) (DD) (CT) (v1.0)_p (The Instruments are only typed out if there are only 2, if there are 3+ then i just do the first letter of each, LRBV, Etc) I also often put the suggested notes after the version number as well. Because of this, it takes a long time to download files, my Firefox, currently has roughly 392 Tabs open all of songs I want to get, but haven't had time, as it takes so long due to the renaming of them. But in general I try to spend a couple hours every few days downloading them. If there was a program to read the cdlc and name them for me based on what the song actually had, that would be great, even make it customizable so people could name them how they want too. Maybe even organize them would be nice \dlc\artist\album\ or something. I did find a file renamer program by: Darrken, from a link on: Cozy1's Tutorial page. But when I ran it, the output was: Avenged Sevenfold - I wont see you tonight Part 1 - v1.0_p So clearly that won't work for what i'm looking for. is there anything like that available? or would anyone be willing to make something like that?
