  1. Hello everyone I have decided to buy me a new guitar. As I fell in love with Dream Theater and John Petrucci's style I thought about a Music Man JP Signature guitar, but my current income doesn't allow me to go near that. The alternative would be the Sterling by Music Man (one of the signature models) JP60-PRB or the JP100-PRB. The reviews I found were all amazing, but I met a guy which makes a living out of playing guitar and he suggested that instead of getting an Indonesia made guitar I should get a custom made Godin with 24 frets which are made in Canada and I could get it for around 500 Eur. (The listing prices are higher but he said that he can help me with that). So what do you guys think? A signature model from Sterling or a custom hand made Godin? I could go with my budget close to 900 Eur. Thank you for all your thoughts Calin

  3. Hi there, I'm a bass player that makes playthorugh videos, the thing is that I think that the way to promote your videos here is not good enough, the only way that your video can be viewed is if a user that creates CDLC, post your video as a playthrough in their pages, also you can't post any playthorugh of an official DLC here, so what is the best way to promote the videos?, do you agree with me? Please let me know

  5. Hello customsforge friends :D, hope you all are having a nice week. I've been thinking about upgrading my Peavey Rockmaster (cheapest guitar ever), I've been thinking about buying a EMG pickup, but I'm not sure which one to buy... I don't fully understand the difference between passive or active pickups... the guitar already has a bridge pickup which is not bad, but I'd like a better sound... I've been trying to pick from these two, the H4 and the H4a http://www.emgpickups.com/guitar/humbucking/passive-humbucking/h4.html http://www.emgpickups.com/guitar/humbucking/passive-humbucking/h4a.html any advice would be appreciated
  6. What songs so you suggest for practicing barre chords. Looking for songs with slower chord changes that: 1. move barres around various positions 2. change types of barre shapes (ie Majors to Minors) 3. change between barre and open chords One good example of what I am looking for is Ride On by AC/DC The rythm track is not too fast and it covers all 3 of the conditions i listed. Thanks!

  9. Hi guys! So i'm looking to get a wireless guitar system. I have seen that there is a lot of different systems out there, but what should i choose. What can you recommend? I don't need that many channels, most of the time it's probably just one guitar that gonna be plugged in. I don't need that much range about 30 meters (100 feet) would be fine. Any suggestions? In advance thanks guys! (And girls, if any )
  10. Hello, I have just installed Rocksmith 2014 and bought Cherub Rock and I wanted to install some CDLC's, They're showing in "Learn a song" library, but when I click to open cdlc it doesn't show up, only speakers are showing. (sry for my english) Any help? Edit: Okey, downloaded .dll - Solved
  11. Hi. I'm making a CDLC requested by a friend of mine which has some cool violin parts, so I arranged them to the lead guitar tab (the song is Emerald Sword by Rhapsody). The thing is that I can't get a violin tone (not even close to one). I had already made some strange tones like an organ one using two phasers and stuff like that but I don't know if I can make a guitar sound like a violin with those Rocksmith effects... I imagine that using reverb correctly and maybe delay with some light distortion may get close, but so far it sounds really strange... Is there any song that has a tone similar to violin or something like that so I can start working from something at least? Any sugestions to get that tone? Please help me!
  12. Hi, guys First off, I've been gone a long time, but I haven't lost my passion for making CDLCs yet. I do have a couple of songs ready, but they were intented for personal use. Lately I've started reading the forum again, maybe I'll invest some time in it... So, why I'm actually here. I want to show you a song, written and performed by someone I know. She has an amazing voice. If her song gets some more attention, I'm sure that will give a good motivation boost for her guitar/singing. Thx! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKTCzNlQTeo

  16. I do have the Bass Hero Project started, but I am also planning to do other customs to change a bit! What I'm working on: John Lennon - Imagine: Bass is complete, Rhythm Guitar (piano) still needs DD and Lead Guitar (vocals) still needs to be finalized. Tones are yet to be found/created. Van Halen - Eruption: Bass is complete, Lead Guitar just needs DD (tech notes are included!) Yes - Roundabout: I just have started this one; please be patient! What I've already released: Nothing - yet If you think you can help me in any way, you are greatly welcomed!
  17. I just got a Squire VM Jazz bass to enhance my rocksmithiness. I love the bass except for the bridge which feels cheap. Any suggestions on a solid replacement? Bear in mind I will be doing the replacement myself including setup so nothing too complicated. Thanks.
  18. I have been reading up on what Guitars/Basses people own on here so i was curious does anybody else on here own an extended range instrument? (Bass with 5 or more strings) (Guitar with 7 or more strings).
