  1. Hello ! Can someone find me, approximative set for this tuning with Rocksmith tool ? Searching but not found, what amp and pedal need Original amp : Hughes&Kettner Black Spirit 200 Head
  2. So, there are two ways to connect to RockSmith, you have a microphone sitting in-front of your Amplifier, or in-front of the guitar itself if you are using an acoustic. You also have their "Real-tone" cable which from what i hear doesn't work all that well and that's it. I want to know if it would be possible to take the output of an amplifier's headphone port, and then plug that into a computers input port which is typically used for a microphone or any other input device. I am sure its possible, but for some reason it does not work for me, do i have to have the amplifier turned up high, or is there something else i am forgetting? I would perfer to use the "line out" of my amp because the way my setup is, i have to turn the amp up high for it to work, and even then the game seems to have a hard time recognizing it. Any help is appreciated.
  3. I can understand that it seems like everyone has this issue, but mine is very peculiar. I've done what every thread on the first five pages of Google have suggested me to do, and yet, I still get stuck at the screen after tuning. I've tried multiple D3DX9_42.dll files, even while trying to put them in the root and dlc folders, but nothing has worked. The weird thing is, I've gotten it to work before. I recently performed a fresh Windows install on my computer, as a result of multiple malicious programs eating up my RAM. Now that I've reinstalled however, nothing seems to be working.
  4. I'm hoping someone has a suggestion on how to get decent audio quality for YouTube videos. Currently I'm running RS 2014 both PC and PS versions through a 200 Watt Kenwood stereo amp into 30+ year old speakers. The PC version is output through a generic onboard motherboard soundcard. The output from the PC sounds weak and tinny no matter how I adjust the bass or treble on the amp. If I dial the bass way up and the treble way down is just sounds muddy. My guess is a new sound card might help so I'm asking for recommendations if anyone else has dealt with this. The PS version definitely sounds better than the PC version but still not real good. The main issue here is buzzing on the E and A strings on my bass through the speakers if I turn the volume up at all but there is no buzzing whatsoever if I do the same through headphones. Could be the speakers, could be the amp I just don't know. Therefore any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  5. HI, I have create a Custom tone is RS that use an HW100B Amp but cannot find it in the RS toolkit. Is there a way I can extract the tone I have created in RS and import it in the Toolkit ? Thanks A.
  6. So I've had RockSmith going on the trifecta of systems since the original RockSmith, that is on Xbox, PC, and on a Mac. When RockSmith2014 hit the streets, it *felt* at the time (especially on the Xbox) that there was more latency in the game (especially processing time to produce sound, so string time to sound felt super laggy)- to remedy this I created this setup: Guitar/Bass ---> Lehle Sunday Driver ---> Lehle P-Split ---> RockSmith Cable to PC/Xbox/Mac |---> Cable to AMP Then when I play the game I turn down the instrument sound completely, and only have the song play via the computer or game console. The guitar or bass sound ONLY comes live from the AMP. (Sometimes I run this into another computer or pedals to get a tone effect since I'm not getting the tone from the game at that point.) Does anyone else do anything similar to this? What hardware do you use? I've found I'm pretty happy with Lehle, and I can get quite a few tones/effects from Native Instruments Guitar Rig when I really want the processing or effects. Anyways, just thought I'd ask, I was just curious...
  7. Hey, everyone! I'm thinking of buying a new electric guitar, I have a budget of about 850$. Personally, I am a metal head and I want to get a guitar that reflects that taste of music. I'm torn between either Jackson or Ibanez (also there is a 7-String PRS SE Custom I came across while looking around which I really liked). What do you guys think? What should I get? (Oh and I'm considering Orange or Blackstar regarding amps.)
  8. I just downloaded Guitar Rig 5 and i wanted to create a tone wich has settings desttripcion and i have 3 questions: 1.)How can i set very specific settings for amp cabiant and etc.? 2.)How can i get back the numbers to see, ex:the master setting, wich is 7.5? 3.)How can i convert the saved tone to an XML. file? Edit:i Solved the second question, here is the website what i found I'm new to this and there's many thing that i have to know,Thanks!
  9. The more I played RS14, the more I got annoyed by bad tones. Not tones from charters, but the tones RS14 generates on my hifi. Even official customs sound poor. Santana doesn't sound like that, neither does Eric Johnson. Amp plugins like Amplitube, Guitar Rig, Waves GTR sound so much better on this same hifi. I envied my friends here who could play RS14 with a Y-split cable connected to the guitar, to split one cable to RS14 and the other to an effect pedal and their Amp. I read about some noise in threads by @doctorz and by @Hostilian how to get rid of it, by buying more electronic stuff, costing about 40€ for 1/4" input/outputs. It didn't convince me because I had real noise in the Amp and in RS14 when connecting a Y-cable... RS even recorded noise (speakers show waves) without connecting pedals, with the Amp shut off but plugged in. I start this thread because I couldn't find the tag "ground loop noise" Thanks to youtube, someone explained that electronic stuff "fights" for the ground. The one losing this fight gets current in his ground line, which causes the noise, and is not secure. To remove this noise, one item has to be connected without ground. I happen to have an elder plug without ground, and connected the Amp. And the noise was gone.. completely ... silence, a new world opens, what a difference to play through pedals/ amp. Now, I don't know the risks, specialists warn (should anybody play RS taking a bath, or outside, or during a storm?), but if you feel uncertain, don't do it. However many electric items have non grounded plugs (three connectors) desk-lamps, videorecorders, PS2, Hifi Amps, even my TV ... And I guess it's more secure not to have ground then to have an electric current on the ground line, at least for the equipment. Looking for another solution, I found out that some power box (maybe weakly grounded) reduce the noise of the Amp. Using a laptop with battery also silenced the ground noise, strangely only with the y-cable between the Pedal and the Amp. But the final (free) solution came when I didn't listen to the specialists (again) who say all connected pieces must go into the same power box. In fact I connected the PC to an opposite wall plug and no ground noise anymore, and no risk :) And if that doesn't help, consider the Behringer HD400 Microhd 2 Channel Hum Destroyer (about 40€ or 25$ / strange currency difference )
  10. Hi all, I started out last year playing guitar when RS2014 was released. I bought an Ibanez SIR70FD and a Spider IV 15 amp from Line 6. Now I'm thinking of buying the AMPLIFi 75 as it looks easy to use when trying out new sounds or finding a specific sound for just jamming or trying to mimic known artists. I will probably add the FBV Express MK II footswitch from Line 6 as well. Right now, when I play RS, I mostly split my guitar to play the sound through my amp while also sending the signal to my computer where I have turned down the guitarsound. Downside is I'm quite limited in matching the "correct" tone to the music I'm playing, especially if there are more than one tone used. With the pedal and AMPLIFi it is just a matter of storing the correct tone(s) and switching through them while playing a number containg more than one tone. Does this sound like the way to go? Do any of you have any experience with the AMPLIFi - cons/pros? As I'm only going to use it at home I believe the 75 is plenty? Or would you recommend the 150 anyway (the price is almost the same)? Second reason to choose the AMPLIFi is it will double as a (hopefully) better speaker for my TV as well as when I stream music from my computer. Kind regards.
  11. Hello there, i'm hoping you lot can spare some of your knowledge. I'm currently looking for a cheap amp solution (£200< preferably) that'll provide plenty of effects since i like to play a variety of songs. I'm currently leaning towards a Vox vt20+ or vt40+ which weigh in at £140 and £180 respectively. They feel a little overcomplicated to use however. I've also given the Roland Cube a go, it doesn't offer the same number of effects but the loop you can have is a pretty useful feature. I'd love to hear some other suggestions, maybe a cheap pedal and amp combination or something? :) The sort of stuff i'd like to be able to play in a sort of check list. - Decent reverb effect - i play electro acoustic so like a sound a bit like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjAunOUNrGU - The Police - Might learn some of the Smiths in the future - Some rock stuff, ACDC, Queen - Bit of Hendrix - An effect for songs like the XX - Nirvana - Arctic Monkeys
