Did Rocksmith change latency settings in an update?

Recently, I've had to go into my Rocksmith ini file and change "Win32UltraLowLatency=" from 1 to 0. The reason was I went into Rocksmith one day and I was getting a constant popping/cracking noise that got worse whenever I made noise with my guitar. It was unbearable. The only fix I found was to change the aforementioned setting. HOWEVER, I've noticed that I can't get my volume nearly as loud as I had previously. I've tried messing with the gain and volume from with the sound mixer, etc. The end result is that once the volume get's so high it's sound terrible. Sort of like static and electronic noise together instead of a nice smooth note. So I was just wondering if there was some change somewhere that I'd have to have made this change and if maybe there's away to go back to how I had it before. Thanks for taking the time to read and I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else has experienced this issue. -
Hello I would like to know if anyone knows how to put the name of the music and the artist that is being played in rocksmith 2014 remastered in twtich using the OBS. Just like Demon_Drummer does on your live streams on twitch. For example: https://go.twitch.tv/videos/178261573 And if possible how to put the correct notes sequences as well. Hi guys. I am new here :) I just registered to Steam and downloaded the steam client especially for buying and playing Rocksmith. Unfortunately, the Steam client alone is 600MB (wtf?) and I have no use for it except for Rocksmith. Therefore, I want to use Rocksmith without Steam: So I extracted the Rocksmith game folder out of the Steam folder and uninstalled Steam. However, Rocksmith is not working anymore because I am getting this error message: "Unable to Initialize Steam API". What can I do to be able to run Rocksmith Remastered without Steam? For those of you who think I am pirating the game, here the proof I bought it. I just want the game and don't need Steam. http://i.imgur.com/k9OBZ8i.jpg

I've been playing Rocksmith for bout a year and 4 months now, roughly 11 months as there are week breaks I stupidly took. I'm pretty decent, but I don't think I'm as good as I could be had I had lessons. I met a guy who is 40 2 years ago and he is absolutely insane at guitar, I'm talking slash style.. he played everything I said and it made me sick, especially Soothsayer by Buckethead.. he is a graded guitar teacher and bassist as well so after 2 years of contemplating this i decided the sooner I go up the sooner I learn more stuff, he gave me bargain lessons. I had my first lesson and he was expecting me to know jack-shit, I forget in my head how much rocksmith can improve you. I think he was surprised although i only know how to play some basic bands. Ramones, Radiohead, Blur, David Bowie, T.Rex, Green Day, Nirvana etc.. but we jammed on a lot, it was an hour lesson and he ended up keeping me an hour and a half as he was enjoying it (usually his students are children or older men, I think he liked jamming with a younger dude) I'm hoping to be in a band this summer. For anyone here contemplating giving up rocksmith, don't... I can't believe the parts i knew even with taking breaks but guitar lessons will motivate me to play weekly even more. Sorry about blabbing, pretty excited. Does anyone else here take lessons on top of Rocksmith? Are the lessons proving beneficial? What taught you more? I learned a fair bit and got shaped up on some bad habits.

Hey Guys, so I just downloaded "Fade To Black" by Metallica. It's an amazing song but there is one problem. I'm a little confused about the song's tuning. Is it E Standard or something else? I played with E standard and it sounded very bad. Any help? Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, back when Rocksmith 2014 did the update to Remastered, all CDLCs stopped working. Someone posted a fix, and actually work like a charm. For months the fix was posted in a big banner at the top of the Custom Forge page. I just installed RS Remastered in a different computer, and of course my CDLCs are not working anymore. I am looking for the link for the fix but, I can't find it. Could anyone give me the link for the fix? Thank you Vlab_B

Cant choose section on specific song in riff repeater.

Hello dear forum mates. My issue is with a specific CDLC song: Itoshisa wa fuhai ni tsuki - dir en grey When I try to select a certain part to practice in riff repeater i cant select it at all. Oddly enough it works when i select lead guitar and NOT rhythm guitar. I think its the c.psarc file itself. Its called DIR-EN-GREY_Itoshisa-wa-Fuhai-ni-Tsuki_v1_p.psarc and i found it here on the forum. I've really wanted to learn the riffs of this song for years and now when i finally got the chance i cant repeat the riffs! PLS HALP -
I'm having some trouble with finding out what tones are what in RS custom toolkit. I really want to make more customs, but i suck at making tones, i dont know how to choose what time they switch at or even how to make them in general. Could i get some help?

Are there rules for posting CDLC someone has already put out?

When I bought Rocksmith, I really liked the idea of CDLC, so much so I decided to try it out myself. I've only charted 1 song and have another on standby. I mostly chart songs that have already been published mostly because all the songs I want to chart myself have already been done (and some of those tabs need a bit of work to fix up.) I probably should have asked this before posting my first CDLC but I'll ask now: Are there any rules regarding posting CDLC that other charters have already done? If so, what is allowed and what isn't. Also, is there anything I should keep in mind about posting CDLC already made? P.S. I just want to point out, I'm not re-posting CDLC already made by someone else, my charts are original as I tab out these songs myself. -
(PC) Hello! I have about 21 DLC's now (All bought over multiples sales) and I recently discovered this amazing website! My question is, what is the best time / platform / website to purchase Rocksmith 2014 DLC on sale? Normally I see on steam songs being sold 2-3+$ (CAD), but I still desire to buy quite a few more songs, and that $ adds up quick. Thanks in advance! -Klean

Hey there everyone, :) I have picked up Rocksmith 2014 almost two years, and since day one it got me frustrated but i kept myself trying to push to play guitar but it never got along. The problem i see is with the song collection in Rocksmith 2014 it seems that it goes from simple powerchords songs to complex songs in no time. And im still a beginner and dont know how to play guitar. The motivation is there but not the knowlegde. I love to listen to Hard rock and Metal and just want to learn the songs that my favorite bands play. My question is, Is there any like list of songs that start out for beginners and gradully get more complex, like a learning guide ? I fonund a list on Justin Guitar.com, but i wanted to check out if anyone here can give me help. Or am I working the wrong way with Rocksmith 2014? Thank you all for the help already in advanced :(

Does rocksmith only support 4 tone changes in one arrangement or that's just EOF or RS Toolkit's stuff?

Hello everyone. I'm sure you are all aware of not being able to play rocksmith after the new patch that came out recently... One particular error I've seen and what I'm getting myself is - Error Sound Initialization. I have been able to get it to work ONLY in exclusive mode... and here are my rocksmith.ini settings for you all. I am yet to figure out a fix to being able to run the game in non-exclusive mode whilst being able to stream etc too... I've also reinstalled the game and it hasn't changed anything... If anyone knows a fix so I can start streaming that would be helpful but it really is annoying :/ -
I didn't realy cared or knew about this thing before, but in my recent custom I realised it and have no clue to how is this even working. Using the 100% mastery fix only single CDLCs?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't figure it out myself. My question is can I use the "CFSM" program to fix only specific CDLCs?? I know that it is meant to fix your "dlc" folder and I already did it,but since then,I've downloaded some new CDLCs and I'm not sure if they don't have the 100% bug on them. Also, if I generate my (e.g:new song for Rocksmith) will that have the issue as before or there was an update for RSToolKit to handle this ? Thanks! -
Hey i got a problem with every single song (CDLC and originall). I can play the songs but when i play i can only see the notes 1-15 because it stopped scrolling to the sides and i can't see wich notes i have to play (16-22) :( all started after Rocksmith Remastered patch.. anyone who can help me? i rly don't know what to do :(

As simply as the title says, I'm having trouble with my settings and preferences reverting after I exit EoF. I set them up the same way every time I use it, but with previous versions I needn't have worried about that, as it would save my settings for future use of the program. Any ideas on the fix, or something I'm doing wrong?

Hi guys, not sure if I'm in the right forum, move me if I'm not. I've got this problem going on for a couple of months now, and now finally it's starting to annoy me so hard, I asking for help. The problem I have is, when I'm making Rocksmith 2014 Playthroughs, I record the same song 3 times, (every arrangement) and then I sync up those 3 to have the splitscreen video Like this: This worked for like years, and now lately something is fucking up. I'm not sure it's Rocksmith or Vegas Pro or my computer or my graphics card or ... Here is the actual problem with screenshots: http://imgur.com/gallery/AudWH 1) Syncing with video frames This is to get the best sync possible for the video frames, the audio can get synced up better later on 2) Syncing with video frames Here you see the smallest step I can drag the middle video track, it goes per frame, the audio is still locked to the video track 3) Syncing the audio Here I ungrouped the audio and video, (they turn red then) I zoom way in and then sync up the audio waves with a ruler 4) Song goes out of sync This screenshot is a little bit further into the song, and check out the third bass track, the beat is out of sync for some reason So somehow the third track got 0,001s out of sync, problem with graphics card? audio card? Fraps? It's very annoying, cause those little differences in soundwaves create reverb effects and change alot in sound and volume, believe me Anyone knows what is happening and how I can fix it?

Hello Everyone, so I've been playing Rocksmith 2014 on PC for over a year now and I absolutely love it due to this community and the openness of the program compared to when I played it on PS3. Anyways, I just switched headphones recently and I've noticed that there is a slight delay when I play a note and when I hear it on RS. Since these headphones don't do a great job at isolating outside sounds, it's very difficult to play fast passages cleanly. Does anyone know how I can fix this through audio settings? Or any tips? Hi ppl. As many of you I use Rocksmith to have fun with my guitar by learning custom songs. I'm a total beginner in the guitar world. As I progressed I wanted to learn some songs that weren't custom made here because not many people listen to this band, so I looked for tabs, and now I need your help. I need to replicate this guitar sound, but I really know nothing about guitar effects. Can anyone with some guitar/rocksmith knowledge/ear give me a screenshot how to setup this? Hello all, I did have a quick search for a topic like this but nothing came into view in the tiny amount of time I was looking so my impatience has got the better of me, and here I am; bothering you guys... So my installation of Win8 finally upgraded itself to 10, without really asking me, but it's inevitable in the end I suppose. Now, I don't really like upgraded operating systems as they always seem soooo slooow and for this reason, I usually opt for a clean install, which is what I'll be doing shortly. So, I guess this means reinstalling Steam, Rocksmith, and doing the patching and bits and bobs that I have forgotten again? Any tips that you guys might have to make things easier, or do I just follow the video again? Also, I suppose I need to back up my CDLC's. Thank you in advance, any tips would be appreciated :) Nick. -
I've made a few custom dlc so far but all have had the same issue. Riff Repeater does not work, I have split the songs into sections as described by this tutorial: http://customsforge.com/topic/10520-creating-cdlc-tutorial-making-sections/ but when I go into the riff repeater and select one of those sections, nothing happens. The song does not play and the notes do not show up. Any ideas? Edit: I just want to say that the songs are fully functional when not using riff repeater.
