  1. Ok, so this post is slightly Rocksmith related - hope I've put it in the right place! Some of you may know that I have basically (no pun intended) learnt to play bass, pretty much using Rocksmith alone. I think I started January 2014, and with a lot of help from the Championship on here, and some excellent Charters, who keep this place going, made massive improvements. Well, about a year ago, I joined a covers band. It was a good learning experience, and with a few one to one music lessons, it managed to wean me away from Rocksmith, at least a little. Anyway, last December I was kind of headhunted by a "proper" band. After umming and ahing over Christmas (was I good enough?), I joined them in January. We were in the studio (!!!) in February recording four original songs, three of which my band leader is happy for me to publicise. https://www.facebook.com/286776021986582/videos/560453104472561/ https://www.facebook.com/286776021986582/videos/2330246770343011/ https://www.facebook.com/286776021986582/videos/2020774164895351/ (turn sound on!) So can Rocksmith teach you to play? Perhaps. ;) Keep on rocking, guys! *Disclaimer - they're not my lyrics, I just play the bass!
  2. I don't like to complain at all but i have to say this ROCKSMITH IS FUCKING UNPLAYABLE! My profile got damaged somehow (atleast that's what the game says) and that wouldn't be a problem because i can make a new one. But the problem with that is the game itslef does not remembers any progress with any profile. In other words: if i make a profile and make some progress with it and then quit then open it again if i chose that profile it starts with the basics when you first play rocksmith. Not even mention that the guitar sounds like fucking megaladon diarrhea shit even with or without headphones. So please can anybody help me with those issues? I haven't play rocksmith normaly for a month now because i had to reinstall my windows 10 in that time and since then it's sucks very much so. I feel very stressd out and anxious and do not have any motivation to continue playing at all :(
  3. It's been a while since I made my last post in CF and it had many reasons. First,I started to have doubts about creating content for the community, also had doubts that I can't make any progress about guitar playing and family issues of course. I don't know when did I posted my last CDLC on the website but it was at leas 3 or 4 months ago. To get to the point I need your help guys! I just can't seem to find anything new material to try out and play (what I mean by that, bands or just songs). Also,I've markd a bunch of youtube videos to watch it about guitar playing but for some reason I don't watch them and not because I'm not interestid, it's something more strange than that (my guess would be because of stress and preasure (I quite have a tough phase in my life)). I simply don't have motivation for playing, I do play still but not as motivated as I playd earlier. Maybe,I just got bored of what I playd (I'm not sure.) I mostly play Billy Talent songs, but recently about 2 weeks ago, I started to play Bullet For My Valentine songs (only the Official DLC ones) and that's it,nothing new since then. So what new habits should I do to make progress or bands to get insperation? My mainly playd bands: Billy Talent, Breaking Benjamin,Chevelle,Godsmack(not so much as I once playd but still),Bullet For My Valentine (from now), Green Day(well not sure about this, it's been almost a half year since I playd any of their song, but I playd almost all of their available songs) Disturbed (only 3 or 4 of ther Official DLC songs) and these are the current ones that are in my mind right now. And I'm also trying to get back to making CDLCs because I don't have anything to motivate me currently. I'm mostly open to any advice, and thank you guys! Without CF and Rocksmith I would be nowhere in my guitar playing! <3
  4. So lets start of with the thing that has made me upset the most. Have any of you lost all progress on your songs before and cant get a back up? This has happened to me and now I have to got through he struggle of the DD songs Second. Its it weird that I miss one day of playing bass and now I feel crap? I practice atleast 4 hours a day and my bass neck broke so I got it repaired, missed a day of practice. Now I have it back and I feel like I have gone backwards. Last but not least. Have you guys ever had to repair a Real Tone Cable before? My one is getting a bit dodgy and cuts out at certain angles/positions. Anyone know how difficult they are to repair? Cheers friends
  5. Hi. I have just started to learn making custom songs to RS2014. It's my first CDLC work-in-process. There are some issues and I'm asking for help. I believe that tabs are good so I haven't modify them. My steps: * EOF - import tabs, lyrics, add 3s delay, some sections * UltraStar Creator - prepare lyrics * Wwise - prepare song for game * Custom Song Creator Toolkit - run DDC and compile song Questions and issues 1. I added 3s delay and moved 1st section a bit to synchronize notes with music. In EOF they seem synchronized. In Rocksmith notes seems to pass too late or it's just an illusion. 2. What sections to create? You can notice intro, verses, choruses, some solos, a long guitar solo and a long outro. How to name parts of this song correctly according to music theory? 3. DDC created difficulty levels almost perfectly except slides and other advanced guitar techniques on the lowest level! If DDC detects phrases automatically, should I better create only 1 section in EOF? Is it crucial to have more sections? If so, help me divide the song into sections accurately. 4. I removed diacritics from lyrics. How to import UTF-8 or WinCP-1250 or ISO-8859-2 into EOF? 5. Other issues? Do tabs need editing in EOF in this case? Polish version Witajcie. Uczę się tworzyć CDLC do Rocksmitha 2014. Na początek Horytnica. Jest jeszcze wiele błędów, dlatego zamieszczam wstępną wersję, aby wykryć i rozwiązać jak najwięcej problemów. Tabulaturę zaimportowałem z sieci bez żadnych zmian. Pytania i wątpliwości 1. Dodałem przesunięcie 3s i zsynchronizowałem cegły z podkładem. W EOF współgrają, ale w Rocksmithu prawdopodobnie występuje lekkie opóźnienie. Oceńcie sami. 2. 4. Jak zaimportować słowa z polskimi znakami? W jakim kodowaniu? 5. Inne problemy i uwagi? Download link: Horytnica - Slaski Rycerz - CDLC work-in-process demo
