  1. i wanted to add sections in someones pscars because for some reason the dd sections arent rs sections (rr doesnt work) and even if they were they are placed in random spots. (also because he doesnt reply since its almost over a year old) so how do you delete the dd and sections because when i press delete dd it says warning there is one populated difficulty beyond the first 5 difficulties only the first 5 will export to midi, and when i press manage rs phases its not the list that i remember its just a difficulty list and if i press delete level then it will delete the notes that i want sooo im confused.
  2. Hi! Would EOf and the RS Toolkit work with windows 10?
  3. I added leading silence to my cdlc, and now Rocksmith starts the song immediately while the notes start after the offset. It works perfectly in eof. Is there a way to fix this?
  4. When I use Eof and track a song it don't save a wav file for me to use in Wwise. Any clues ?
  5. Hi there! I am Saka and I have an important question regarding EOF ( It's BPM specifically) if anyone can answer. So, What I'm trying to do; Sync Lead, Rhythm, and Bass arrangements up. What was accomplished; I've Synced the starting note for all arrangements at the beginning and up to 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through. Problem; When I change the ending BPM to a faster beat after slowing the beat down for the last BPM change, the notes are cutoff for going off-track/ending of song. So far I've tried almost every possible combination to get around this 'cut' but it ends up happening either way or the notes do not end up being on the right beat. Question; Could someone care to explain or if there is anyway at all around this situation as I've transcribed 27 CDLC so far but this bands (Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas) Tempo specifically constantly changes which makes it all the more harder to comprehend at times. Thank you for those who take the time to read this and reply or give advice.
  6. Hey guys, I wonder if some of you may take the time to help me. I made a CDLC of the song Behind the Sun by Sylosis (Lead Guitar), but when it try it crashes the game, I've tried repacking twice (that's usually the fix in most cases), but it doesn't help. Everything seems fine with it, EOF didn't show any error/incompability message and RSToolKit generated it without any problem. Here's a zip with all the EoF files, .wav files, album cover and the generated .psarc files (no tone or gp file, but I can get you that if you want to): https://mega.nz/#!2U...-092T1DDzDkUt5U
  7. Hello, My name is Ben and I have recently made a few CDLCs. However, some people have been requesting dynamic difficulty, and I know that there is a Creator that does it for you in RS Toolkit, but I can't figure out how to seperate the song into phrases. Can anyone help me? If so, that would be awesome
  8. I'm having an issue with my one of my CDLCs: http://customsforge.com/topic/20054-sign-o-the-times-live-mtv-vmas-1987/?hl=prince There is a burst of notes at the beginning and then some chords, and the last chord in the sequence is sustained, then slides up the neck to another chord (via linknext), and then the chord changes to a single sustained note (also via linknext, and the rest of the notes are released) and then it's supposed to go to a downward unpitched slide (also via linknext), so that's like 3 or so links. In the chart, the final slide isn't shown, but it's definitely in EOF. I tried deleting it and re-placing the note, but that caused the single sustained note to stretch to the next note in the chart, and won't shorten with the mouse wheel. I tried deleting the slide AND the long sustained note, and then the linked chord stretched on until the next note and wouldn't shorten. I closed out without saving any changes after that! Any idea what's going on here? I can't figure out what caused this mess. The song's basically done, so I hope it's fixable. Thanks!
  9. I can take a RS file and using CST unpack it into the various files. I would like to then reload it into EOF and resave it with the RB files options checked. How do I load the unpacked files back to EOF?
  10. Hey everyone, this is my first post here. I'm fairly new to CDLC, but after a couple weeks I think I get the whole process pretty well. I'm still getting used to Editor on Fire, especially since most tutorials revolve around importing Guitar Pro tabs while I prefer inputting the notes directly into EOF. I understand beat mapping, sustaining notes, bends, slides, fret hand positions, tech notes, all that good stuff. There are some things I have a few questions about though: 1. Is there a way to remove chord names on double stops? http://i61.tinypic.com/333ecue.png Or even chord names on any kind of chord? But double stops especially shouldn't have names, right? My workaround has been to go to Note > Edit Name and type a space " " which would clear it, and it seems to look fine ingame. Is there a better way to do this? 2. How do you work with chord "phrases"? There's probably a better term for that... By "chord phrase" I mean the blue lines that extend from a chord outline, and the "blank" outlines mean you repeat the same chord, until the phrase ends. The repeated chords are slashes [/] in EOF. http://i57.tinypic.com/2uoj62x.png In this example, the first [A5] starts a chord phrase and the [/] repeats that chord. The palm mutes cut the phrase off, and a new phrase starts with the second [A5] and [/]. How can I make it so these two phrases are connected as one phrase? The second [A5] would then be another [/] instead and the palm mutes would be "extra" notes within the phrase. I've seen some songs do this (watch the intro of Dream On). I think it looks better and smarter that way. http://i62.tinypic.com/23rpwjn.png On the other hand... here are two pairs of [E5] chords. As you can see there's a gap between the first pair and the second. But the second pair is just more [/], meaning it continues from the first pair, and ingame these pairs are part of the same chord phrase and connected regardless of the gap between them. How can I split these pairs into two separate chord phrases, even though they're the same chord? http://i62.tinypic.com/v3h8gx.jpg 3. And finally... how do I fix this? I pressed the wrong button too many times and I flipped it upside down hahaha
  11. Hi all, I'm working on a song that sounds to me like it has a tremolo (wammy) bar that dips lower in pitch, and then goes higher. Is there a way to chart this in EoF? I imagine I could use a bend to chart the higher pitches, but EoF doesn't allow negative bend strengths. How would any of you in the CF community here chart this? Thanks for your help, Tysylio
  12. Recently I've been doing a lot of using EOF and the toolkit to transcribe bass arrangements in exotic tunings (Drop C, Eb Drop Db, C# Standard, etc.) into B Standard for use on a 5 string bass. This generally works well. Open up the audio in EOF, import the Rocksmith arrangement, change the tuning, and EOF gives the option to automatically transcribe notes. That works great for many songs, but it always tries to keep notes on the same string. Sometimes, that makes chords/double stops impossible (without tapping I guess) due to the gap between frets getting too large, or can make sequential notes where you play an open string followed by something high up the fretboard difficult, because, say, an open C requires first fret when the tuning is changed to B. So, something like 0 0 12 0 0 12 on the low C in Drop C turn into 1 1 13 1 1 13, which can be hard to shift in a quick tempo song. But if that 13 on C was transcribed to the 3rd fret of A, it would be easy again. So, what I'm wondering is if there is any way to select all notes of a given pitch, or all notes on a specific fret number on a specific string. Using the example above, lets say that I want to turn every note on fret 13 of B into fret 3 on A. Right now, I'm scrolling through the whole song and control-clicking every instance of notes at the 13th fret, then using the Note window to change them up. That works, but it would be a lot faster if I could automatically select ALL the notes at that position (and/or pitch). Is there a way to do that that I am missing? If not, would it be possible to add the feature? ...One more semi-related thing I've noticed is that the EOF options for "transcribe up" and "transcribe down" don't actually keep the pitch of the note the same -- they just move it to the same fret on a higher or lower string. It would be nice if a variant of that actually transcribed the note while maintaining pitch. It could warn you if it was impossible to keep that pitch on the string you are trying to transpose to.

    Count In

Does anybody know how to get the count-in that occurs before the first measure that official DLC uses sometimes? I know that d318's Green Day charts have them, so it can obviously be done for customs, but I don't know how. Thanks in advance :)
  14. Hey there! Sorry but I couldn't find the answer in any tutorial or video.. How can I change the length of a note in EOF? Is there a shortcut, similar to pressing F when I want to change the fret position? Thanks!
  15. so ther i am trying to layout things and testing out stuff on the EoF program when i noticed that frets above 17 are considered muted notes...this is an issue for ME specifically if i ever wanted to make a song that happens to go above that fret; which i'm sure i'm gonna be running into at some point in time. my guitar has 21 frets and others may go above that count i'm sure but is this an error on the program maker's part? or is this a bug that needs to be addressed? or maybe i set 1 of my settings to make it think it's not a guitar? idk any hlp on this would b very much appreciated and i thank you in advance for taking the time to read and/or read/respond
  16. No matter what I try, I can't get a sustained note to use linknext for over one measure. I author a note like this:http://oi61.tinypic.com/29cmhko.jpgBut no matter what I've tried it comes out like this: http://oi57.tinypic.com/70xuz5.jpgAs you can see, the notes that come after the vibrato note (coincidentally, the note that is at the start of a new measure) does not appear. I know for a fact that it is because of the ending of the measure that this occurs because if I offset the note to slightly before the measure like this: http://oi59.tinypic.com/s6jb76.jpgThen it shows up in-game like this: http://oi58.tinypic.com/2e0qy5x.jpgAs you can see, the note I offset now shows up. Any ideas on how to work around this? :)
  17. How do the official DLCs make this chord frame? It doesn't seem to be an actual "arpeggio" that you'd make by using Control + Shift + G. As you can see, it doesn't have the same purple outline as arpeggios added by the aforementioned shortcut (as shown through the second picture). http://oi57.tinypic.com/2i90ya.jpg http://oi61.tinypic.com/2vl7kon.jpgAny help would be greatly appreciated :)
  18. I'm having lots of trouble getting tone changes to work, I've put the names in the eof, then assigned them to the gui, and i still can't get them to switch in game. Would someone please help. :c
  19. I have just starting creating CDLCs for Rocksmith and I'm having a blast. Most of you are light-years ahead of me in terms of EOF knowledge, but I thought I would share this anyway in case it helps someone else out there who is starting out. Please chime in with any corrections or additions to my thoughts below. Over the past year, I have found the Riff Repeater to be critical to my use and enjoyment of Rocksmith. So, in creating CDLCs, I want to make sure that RR works in each of the songs. (I know that many of you also utilize the Dynamic Difficulty option, but I have not found it to be very useful myself and I find the procedure for coding CDLCs with quality DD to be difficult). Unfortunately, I have spent many hours over the past few weeks trying to get RR to work correctly in my songs. Many times, some sections of the song are inaccessible. I searched these forums and the internet for answers and thought I was following the right procedure, but I was having very inconsistent results. After doing quite a few experiments over the past few days I discovered my problem. It turns out that, in all cases where I was having a problem, a note at the start of the section was not snapped to the corresponding beat. I thought that they all were, but they were one or two thousands of a second ahead of the beat. It was hard to tell unless you looked very, very closely. I didn't discover this visually, but by examining the .XML file with a text editor as Chlipouni suggested in a post earlier this year. I have no idea how, through the editing process, the notes could end up being slightly off beat. From now on, I will always have the Menu/Song/Highlight Non Grid Snapped Notes option turned on in the menu. That is a very useful feature of EOF. If you find that you have this problem, the solution is easy - set your Grid Snap to 1/32, select all of the notes in the track (CTRL+A), and use the Note/Resnap command. Also, I confirmed that you cannot start a section in the middle of a sustained note, if there are no other tracks with a note on that beat. This is not a problem if you have a note on another track on the same beat. One more thing - starting on beats other than 1 was not an problem for me. I know that others have said to make sure and start a section on the first beat, but I have not found that to be an issue. Thanks to all of you for your help in these forums - this is an amazing community.
  20. I have two questions that have bugged me and I can't seem to find an answer for anywhere. First one, in Editor on Fire, say you have your song completely done. When you play it, you notice a slight out of sync on the whole song, when this happens do you really need to edit on EOF then go back to Wwise and then repackage the song again? Or simply saving it with the changes on EOF and then repackaging it will do the trick? Next question, I am familiar with how to make tones, how in the world do you get them out as an xml. file and how do you find them? I am having to do the technique where you get the amp or pedal and then you copy the numbers as is onto the toolkit, is this the only method?
  21. Hi there, I'm on my 3rd day working with EOF and had successes with 8 CDLCs so far and 3 that didn't work. But that's part of the learning process. I have 2 questions for you: 1- I couldn't find the answer to this basic question and have not yet started to play with features yet. What are the tabs at the top of EOF and what do they do? The "Supereasy, Easy, Medium, Amazing and BRE" tabs at the top. 2- There are so many awesome tutorials for just about anything. You guys have done a fantastic job. Being a newbie, has anyone ever thought of creating a troubleshoot document with common errors from users? For example, I made 2 while learning. For example loading the mp3 into USC and doing the lyrics before adding the leading silence...Yep that's a pain. or creating a DDC but not editing the guitar arrangement in the creator tab to the DDC file created etc...?
  22. I synced up a song in EOF and I can find the .eof files but I can't find PART_REAL_GUITAR.xml. In fact I searched my entire C: drive for PART_REAL_GUITAR and I can't find it. Is there a way to force EoF to generate that file? Thanks. By the way, this background may be helpful... or it may be completely useless because the file is gone and I just need to know how to generate a new one. I'm a beginner doing this so I started out with a pretty hard song, not knowing how hard it would be to sync things up. After trying to sync for a while I abandoned that project, but I think PART_REAL_GUITAR was still generated. I'm using the directory structure from this tutorial http://customsforge.com/topic/1922-how-to-make-pc-cdlcs-for-rocksmith-2014-tutorial-wscreenshots-by-darjusz/ and I think I saw PART_REAL_GUITAR in the Working directory. I synced up an easier song and then used the toolkit to create a psarc file using PART_REAL_GUITAR from the Working directory (I figured maybe it had been overwritten and I'd be safe doing it) but when I loaded it into the toolkit, the song title and artist name of the harder song appeared. I went ahead and created the psarc file anyways just as an experiment. I copy and pasted it into my Steam dlc folder and went to play the game. Neither song showed up. I played Rocksmith for a while and shut down my computer. When I turned it on today and went to look for the psarc file and the PART_REAL_GUITAR file, they were both gone.
  23. Hey, I'm trying to make a CDLC. Its going well but I can make it better by adding arpeggios, but I don't know how to. I tried looking it up too but I guess my search skills aren't good enough. If anyone could tell me how, that would be great.
  24. Hi So i charted the song i want in EOF and its all timed correctly and all so now what do i do??
  25. for some reason the audio starts before any of the notes do I added leading silence because the notes use to start before the screen appeared and you would miss like 5 and yes i did tick rencode plus in eof the notes are cordinated fine just in rocksmith the problem https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2-ngHHsf1cxTGdxeURDQnU0SkE/view?usp=sharing thanks in advance :D
