  1. Here's one way of updating it. Open the latest version of Rocksmith Toolkit. https://www.rscustom.net/builds Click on the CDLC Creator tab. At the bottom click "Import" and select the psarc file. In the Arrangements box double click Bass. In the tuning drop down box select Eb drop Db. Press OK. Hit "Generate" at the bottom and you'll get an updated file.
  2. Just played the lead arrangement; good work. The tablature is good, but there's an A Major bar chord around 2:43 that is a bit conflicting (sounds minor). Check out other tabs or use your ears and make a decision how to transcribe it. Check out 2.2.1 Handshape Sustain http://customsforge.com/topic/30557-guidelines-for-official-looking-customs/ A break in the sustain helps the player realize they are switching chords. A nice and easy update, just click on the last strum of a chord and mouse scroll up/down to change how long the sustain is. Play an official song and notice the highlighted lanes have breaks when changing chords. Though not necessary (no notes are crammed together) you might like upping the scroll speed a bit, maybe from 2.0 to 1.7
  3. Can't match that tone exactly, but "good enough" works. Load up the AMTW-26 in the Amp section of the tone designer. Then load up the TW-112C in the Cabinet section. Add some reverb in the rack. Jam along with the track! Lower the music volume so you can hear yourself. In the cabinet you can change the mic position. Play all of them to see which one fits best. If the reverb is too much, just lower the mix knob. When the distortion kicks in you can add a pedal (germanium drive will sound ok) without too much gain. Once you are happy with a tone copy the settings into the toolkit.
  4. AMTW-26 + TW-112C Easy on the gain when adding overdrive. Fiddle with the mic position too. You could also get the Black Keys DLC and see if they have a similar tone and copy it.
  5. I should add there are no open notes at t=20.525 or t=20.731
  6. Thanks again guys. Here is what's happening for the first 4 notes according to the XML (as unpacked by the latest toolkit test build). Maybe I am wrong to trust the unpacked XML. I noticed every highdensity occurrence in the song is set to 0, which doesn't sound right.
  7. Thanks for the insight. This is just a suggestion: (I assume) almost no one else in the CDLC community uses the ignore function. Could you add some magic so when a note/chord is ignored the fret marker is not highlighted? What do you guys think? If this is something you agree with, I can provide examples on when ODLC tends to use ignore, so we don't step on any of those cases.
  8. You can create a tempo map in EOF. Here are a couple tutorials: http://customsforge.com/topic/5099-how-to-sync-your-beat-map/ http://customsforge.com/topic/5136-using-beat-markers-to-sync-in-eof/
  9. Maybe it's toolkit magic that decides when the fret markers are highlighted. :)
  10. The numbers in the red boxes are not in the ODLC version.
  11. Here is an ODLC example (Alice in Chains: No Excuses): and here is me trying to recreate it: Aside from some sustain lengths, the xml for both examples are the same. It looks similar, but the extra highlighted fret markers on the second picture are distracting. Has anyone found a way to manipulate when a fret marker is highlighted?
  12. FYI, I tested a chart with only 2 chords named ((((((((((G7b9 and ((((EbMa)(j7((((no3)). They never showed up in "Rocksmith Recommends" even after refreshing a dozen times.
  13. Can parenthesis be allowed in chord names in a future update? I tested some normal situations (edited the xml file) and there are no crashes or hangs. I don't import guitar pro's, but if silly names are being imported they don't seem to crash the game either. I tried these: (AbMaj7) ((((((((((G7b9 ((((EbMa)(j7((((no3)) and the game did not crash, even when accessing the chord book. On Disk Example: Splashh - "All I Wanna Do" Em7(no5) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEmXaUtl00I#t=1m6s Official DLC example: Alice in Chains "No Excuses" Ab(add9)
  14. Under the DDC tab in the toolkit you can remove DD. Select Config File: ddc_merge_all_levels then click Generate.
  15. While you will see the amps falling from the sky, there won't be a clicking sound like in RS1.
  16. There is not an option to slowly fade out.
  17. Sometimes internet tabs are funky like that. It can be fixed in the CDLC creation process, but sometimes it isn't. (800)255-3700 :)
  18. Regarding making your own customs: This tutorial is frequently updated http://customsforge.com/topic/35318-cdlc-creation-for-rocksmith-2014-remastered/ This one is super detailed about complex notes. If you get stuck on bends/slides/etc read this https://www.dropbox.com/s/fktorkmogtgfqda/Tech%20Notes%20Tutorial%2C%20Version%201.1%20-Published%20(18Mar2014).pdf You will need the latest versions of EOF+latest hotfix and the Rocksmith Custom Toolkit latest test build, available under tools at the top of this webpage. You will also need WWise installed on your PC (you never need to use it, the toolkit uses it for you.)
  19. Don't forget to use the latest test build of the toolkit https://www.rscustom.net/builds
  20. That picture is from Narrow Straits by Lagwagon? Just played it on PC with no glitches. There is only one version of that song here on customsforge, and there is only one download file (p.psarc). Since you are playing on a mac, you must have used the rocksmith toolkit to convert it. Try it again, but with the latest version of the toolkit. https://www.rscustom.net/builds
  21. If you decide to write about showlights, it would be nice to learn how to shut off all lights (temporarily). Also how to create a strobe effect. It would be cool to create customs that give people seizures
  22. Just checked out the update: cool gifs. As mentioned in 3.2 it's nice to add a handshape to the "destination chord". In addition, ODLC often manipulates the handshape of the initial chord. You can apply the rule you mentioned in 2.2.1 about leaving a gap between chords. If you need an ODLC example check out the octave slides in Cherub Rock. Whether or not this is worth your time is up to you, but it does help make a chart easier to follow.
