  1. OK that seems fair, I tell you what though I'm sick of people not putting proper sections in their songs. I was really looking forward to a week of The Clansman because it's really fun but I just tested the RR and it only has two sections on bass! I think I'll test all of my suggestions fully before putting them on the list so I don't keep wasting your time.
  2. I'm confused, how does being in the DieHard list effect the chances of your song being picked? Is it like a 75% chance that a song from a die hard member is chosen and 25% for everyone else?
  3. It's probably just my failure at doing two palm muted low E's to a chord over and over when the chords differ.
  4. Does anyone feel like Black Sunshine is the same difficulty or more difficult than After Midnight on Lead? I hate to be that person but it does seem harder, I got a higher % but that's cause I remembered it from Guitar Hero. Maybe it's just on the boundary. Either way I won't be submitting any more Intermediate scores this week because I don't want to level up on Rhythm and I don't really enjoy the song at all. Maybe I'll change my mind but for now here are my entires! http://i.imgur.com/6P9DA3a.png http://i.imgur.com/eNiPrUj.png http://i.imgur.com/8rKa2K9.png Just for giggles, unfortunately one of the purple bars went down on Rhythm so there was no point taking a screenie of that. I did enjoy it though, nice simple song (simple for DT) which sounds really nice! http://i.imgur.com/nmE8qr3.png
  5. Damn it @@Rodman you're making want a Bass. Maybe next year I'll get one and join in the Bass fun. At times it actually feels like there are more Bass fans than Electric here, quite interesting cause I always got the impression that Bass was less popular, perhaps just a quieter majority.
  6. I think you should move the link to the discussion directly above or below the song choices so everyone definitely sees it. Gonna be a hard one for me this week, bloody hate Blink 182 but I'll give it a go, they may surprise me.
  7. Personally I find the competition to be fantastic, when I'm busy or tired I just play RS like Rock Band, pick a song, play it, move on to another song. I never really concentrate on learning properly and as such my skills probably suffer for it. The competition gives me a goal, a song to concentrate on for a good reason, thus improving my ability to learn and my accuracy and clarity. Making customs is also a good way to learn too. When you're looking at the same notes for hours it really drills it into you.
  8. I forgot to do what @@Chlipouni said which is what caused the problem for me, hopefully you're having the same issues. In terms of uploading files I'd recommend Dropbox, mega.co.nz or Mediafire.
  9. I imagine you'd at least want some kind of leaderboard for comparison purposes. I guess the topic poster could be in charge of that. The authorities would have to weigh in their thoughts for that one. Calling the organisers "authorities" feels weird.
  10. @@Hostilian Someone would still have to manage it so I don't see Motive or Mortalo being receptive to the idea. @@Mortalo @ I'm seeing an overwhelming majority for adding the Advanced class. I don't know how long you're planning on running this poll and discussion but I'd recommend waiting until at least the end of next week before changing anything, just so as many people get a chance as possible.
  11. Add school to that and you've probably got 99% of people here.. ;) I'd love to have certain classic songs - you know the ones; Stairway, Back in Black, Enter Sandman, Sweet Child etc etc etc - to be permanently open in their own topic as (I dont know about you) these classic songs are ones I'd like to dip into, er, all the time to learn properly. If I can do it online with others with the same goals then great.. :) I think that would be a loud and horrible can of worms to open, you'd have people complaining that their "classic" doesn't have its own topic and before you know it we'll have loads of them and no one to monitor them all.
  12. For me I'd say an extra class would be incredibly useful to bridge the common gap between Intermediate and Masterclass, the jump can be absolutely staggering so it would allow Intermediate to get away from the really hard stuff, I honestly can't imagine trying to learn The Trooper for example. It would also mean those who are in Masterclass limbo can play stuff at their level instead of struggling with ridiculous solos and techniques which have been perfected over years of playing. As for two weeks I'd like it to be one week so that people aren't out off too badly by songs they don't like. Unfortunately on the other hand with Uni starting again next month I don't think I'd have to time to learn one song very well in a single week. For those who work or have University I think it'd be better if we had two weeks for songs.
  13. For me moving from Black Sheep to Aids & Armageddon (beginner to intermediate) the difficulty increase was noticeable but not unrealistic and probably at the right level to push my skills farther so if there a class between Intermediate and Masterclass I think it would solve the huge gap and cause a more natural progression. I think 5 classes would be unrealistic and would cause fragmentation but would 4 but a huge problem? Something to think about definitely.
  14. No I am not proud of these but HOPEFULLY this is simply placeholder submissions, I really wish I had more time in the week to practice. http://i.imgur.com/BPkXwHf.png http://i.imgur.com/Y9zOzzi.png
  15. Have you considered trying to learn yourself? Then you get around the problem of waiting for someone else to do it for you. It's quite interesting and easy.
  16. See I've been thinking about that myself, it's a shame we don't have more players because three classes really is a bit too restrictive. Maybe Bachsmith will cause a classical custom revolution which makes loads of players come to Customsforge :)
  17. @ @@Rodman You two need to stop, I can't afford a Bass :(
  18. I think $5 is more than acceptable for 6 months of work, they sound like a variety of different genres so I can't wait.
  19. 15th Oct: Opeth 1st Nov: Distant Worlds (Final Fantasy Orchestra) 5th Nov: Animals As Leaders 16th Nov: Bryan Adams 25th Nov: Mastodon Also going to the UK Marillion Weekend 2015, anyone else got tickets for that? Can't bloody wait!
  20. @@Chlipouni OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! I can't believe that is the problem......... that's so much for finding such a small problem, I completely forgot the "Seek table granularity". I'll get it patched up and hopefully release it tonight when I test the tones. Thanks very much!
  21. The more I play Angry Again the more I struggle, even the easy chorus is killing me cause I can't figure out the strum pattern, it's so hard to see the beat markers on that section.
  22. 1. Judas Priest: Breaking the Law (46 times, 104.2%), the ultimate beginner song, makes you feel so good as a n00b. 2. Pearl Jam: Jeremy (33 times, 101.9%), mostly from my beginner days, I haven't played it much lately. 3. Pearl Jam: Black (31 times, 94.9%), a great moody song full of chords and arpeggios, I can't play it cleanly to save my life. Epic solo. 4. Stone Temple Pilots: Vasoline (30 times, 102%), the first song I could 90%+. 5. Arctic Monkeys: R U Mine? (29 times, 102.5%), not a fan of them but a great beginner song. Overall my most played are mainly songs which made me feel good as a beginner, the time when it is most vital that you don't think you're terrible :)
  23. I've attached the Rocksmith Toolkit template I use to package, the EOF project and an up-to-date psarc of the song. Please note the Rhythm and Bass don't have sections because I deleted them all to see if remaking them solved the issue, all arrangements suffered the same problem so if we can get lead working we should know the problem with the others. https://mega.co.nz/#F!OJEyESKR!xvstLGx20t_DzOoQJadCig
  24. @Hostillian I heard about that, I thought it was Holy Wars that he played but it makes more sense for it to be Anarchy. Well anything that led to Holy Wars is a good thing, one day I'll play that beast. One day.
  25. @@TheAnswer989 Unfortunately I moved the beat markers to sync and only moved notes and changed notes when the tab was wrong. My problem is not that the sections aren't selectable, I've had that before and fixed it. It's that if you select a section when you start riff repeater the note highway stops moving forever until you restart the song. I can play through the song fine but riff repeater stops all highway movement when you select a section :( EDIT: Also if I apply DDC to my song it refuses to move beyond the tuning screen no matter how many times I repack it. Something fatal is wrong but I can't put my finger on it.
