  1. I'm not that sure if RS sets the difficulty according to your performance, I mean, every song on my list is >85%, but with every new custom I add RS thinks I had a seizure, completely forgot how to play, and set's it to around 15-20%, so I have to manually raise it in order to play (At the very least it only happens to me once per song, since RS saves the DD, but man it's still annoying). You could say that I have the exact opposite problem than you, so I kinda understand your frustration.
  2. Well, Machinae Supermacy is among the band list performing there (In fact they are the only band I recognize xD), and a song from them (Sidstyler) is already uploaded as a custom http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/sidstyler-r2668 If you wanted something out of conventional this would be your best bet, even better if they perform the song and fans would like to try failing a trying to playing it later.
  3. I'd say you should go with the ones that every guy that picks up a guitar wishes to play, you know, stuff like Enter sandman, Stairway to Heaven, Sweet Child o' Mine, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Comfortably Numb, Californication, Hotel California, Iron Man, I could really go on and on, but you get the idea. These are all songs that have DD, everybody wants to learn to play, have great tones and will surely attract some attention since they have not been (And in cases like GNR will most likely never be) released by Ubisoft.
  4. If anything besides multi player, I'd like to see even more tone slots, sometimes 4 feels a bit limited. Also the keyboard support would be really nice, I mean I have synesthesia, but it would be better if I could listen to an mp3 of the song instead of a MIDI file playing in the background. And finally, being able to edit the tones that a songs uses would be amazing to me.
  5. Here's what happens, you REALLY need to be a fan of the song you want to tab, since no matter how simple the song might seem, you have to spend a lot of time in order to get things right, so I wouldn't blame people if they did not want to tab songs by requests. I would recommend that you learn how to use guitar pro yourself, it's a really easy to use tool, and by using you get some music theory knowledge as well. That's what I've done with the customs I charted.
  6. EOF can only import one track from a GP file for each arrangement (meaning that if you import main lead and then import the solo, the parts previously imported would get overwritten and you'll end up with an empty track until the solo comes), so what you do is this, copy and paste the solo section to the same position on the lead track (Overwriting anything that may be on the way), that way when importing you'll have everything.
  7. Only what you download, but if you add it to your collection then you start following the topic, which means that you will get a notification when the charter updates the song.
  8. I don't see any problem at all if we, the charters, were the one's to add a genre tag, I know a lot of songs are in a gray area, but we should be able to select one or more from a list of "generic" genres to be decided in a poll of some sort, that way, it could be easily implemented. Another thing we could do, mind this is just an idea, is add a recommended song/band mini list related to the song, what I mean is something like this, you open let's say, a song by alice in chains, and in the song page there could be a list of bands related to it, for this example, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden. Of course the users would have the choice if they want to do this last step, but since you already have to spend a lot of time to make a good custom, I don't think writing a couple of lines would be that much of a bother.
  9. Well you could, but it wouldn't be because of Rocksmith, but because you put the effort to practice enough to get to that level. Rocksmith provides a mean for the user to play and improve, but in the end, the user's the one who plays the songs.
  10. That seems really neat, but impractical unless you have a big house I guess. Now, I just bought Synthesia, and it's really worth it, pretty much does everything I need, thanks a lot for the suggestions.
  11. Hello to all, here's the situation. My brother bought a keyboard last year, but he never got around learning to play, so I decided to take the instrument for myself. Now, in the last year I've used Rocksmith my guitar skills have increased in a way that I can now easily play songs that I didn't imagine I'd be able to a couple of years ago, which leads me to my question. Wrapping it up, I know there are equivalents to Rocksmith for learning Keyboard, but I want to know if some of you happen to have tried some in the past, and if you can recommend any. Thanks for your time.
  12. After some trial and error I now use 11-50. It took me a bit to get used to heavier strings but I really like the sound they give, so for me it really was worth it, and once you get used to it, you don't see the difference. In the end it's a matter of preference, as the people above me said, so try different kinds until you find what suits you best. And regarding when to changue the strings, well, it is true that new strings have their own sound that fades over time, but I don't believe it's worth enough so I would changue them constantly, so I'm one of those guys who tends to only changue them when one breaks. In the end, the choice is yours.
  13. I like the Pc version's fater loading time, so I use it. Also, It's really easy to see the trend in the poll xD.
  14. Dynamic difficulty can be added to a song that doesn't have it by using the toolkit under the DDC tab, as long as the magna charter used section makers and created the custom correctly according to the instructions in the link I provided above. Now that I didn´t know, thanks for sharing the knowledge
  15. I think he's asking (May be just me, english is not my first language) why some of the songs have the difficulty fixed on the max, even when the riff repeatter shows that it should'nt be the case, and that my friend happens the author of the song did not include dynamic difficulty on the cdlc. There's nothing you can do about it, but you can ask the author to update their post to include the feature.
  16. It's posted on the red banner at the top of the page, hold shift and click on refresh while on the database page, that worked for me.
  17. I did a lot of finger stretching (In fact, I still do) whenever my hands were free, and after a couple of years I can see the results which let me play more complex songs. It's only a matter of practice, so the most important part is that you shouldn't give up. Everyone here knows that it's frustrating when you start playing and realize how hard it is, but keep practicing at your pace and I can assure you that you will surprise yourself one day, as long as you keep trying. PD: I'm quite sure that this chord you're refering is in a place for my head, and yes, it's a bitch :-P
  18. Thanks for sharing, specially the one explaining how to combine the scales, I've been learning how to play by myself in the last couple of years, so practicing this will surelly improve my technique
  19. That's actually portuguese, but as you say it doesn't matter, the guitar is the ultimate universal language
  20. About a thousand, and as you say it shows the enumerating message, but it's gone in a couple of seconds
