  1. Awesome. I've seen some good interviews lately with him. The Rogan and Beato ones are great. He's a good story teller.
  2. Yeah the one I am most familiar with is the one the box set as a "b-side". I think it was Zero? But I could be wrong.
  3. Hey I see you are doing some more work. If you had time, what about "Ugly" ? Seems easy enough to tab out.
  4. Yeah it is crazy to me how I've played guitar for 30 years and within the past year or so, when working on audio mixing, it occurred to me "what does the bass sound like anyway?" It just another rabbit hole for me to chase as well.
  5. I see Color of Your Love is up for bass. Thats a newer song I actually enjoy. Any chance on the guitar being added?
  6. I tell you what would be super cool....if perhaps you know someone who could put together CDLC for "Love" and/or "An Ode to No One". I was thinking Ode had one but it wasn't very good...but checking, I don't think anyone anyone ever did one. And it is such a fun song to play.
  7. Yeah, over the past year or so I have been working with self-recording and learning about mixing. I actually did Nail the Mix for a bit just to get into the finer points of audio work. I have noticed that the more I learn to really hear what is going on, the less I enjoy RS because the harshness you were talking about is almost unbearable. But I figured you had some background because your tones are better than a very large majority of CDLC...not just getting the effect(s) right but the EQ and the smoothness to the sounds.
  8. I keep meaning to ask.....your tones are very solid. Did you get to be able to do that through trial and error, or do you have an audio background?
  9. That's the show I was talking about, in Camdenton. i'm just outside of St Louis, so its not a bad drive.
  10. Just saw that announcement last night. Never was a Jane's Addiction fan. But they will be about 2 1/2 hours from me next week and I am working on being able to fit it in. From the dates I saw, I think its cool they are playing some off the normal touring path venues. It has to be way more difficult to get those things set up than just playing major cities, but I respect the bands that do that.
  11. That is pretty solid set list!
  12. Havent tried it yet, but in the past your tones are spot on. Youre worst enemy is the limits of RS itself.
  13. M.C like? or more like the new style you think?
  14. Just checking in....haven't heard much from you.
  15. How about "Ugly" or "Cherry". Very underrated in my opinion.
  16. I'm much the same way about the newer stuff. Just doesn't hit me the same for whatever reason. It's funny you mention the live show...it really just dawned on me that I never saw them live. I used to hit a lot of shows back in the late 90s early 2000s, even bands I didn't care for much, but I don't even recall the opportunity to see them live. I'm from the St Louis area....I'm sure they had to have came through though right? I haven't been to a legit concert in over a decade now....but I really would consider it if they come through. I mean, I had tons of live bootlegs for them....remember viewphoria? And that jam, breakdown during Silverfuck? I freakin loved that riff!
  17. Was just able to run through the Some "Lead" and play the tones on their own. Once again your tones are great. I love the multi effect. I just sat and noodled with that for 10 mins by itself! I imagine SP is really tough to create tones for considering everything they through in there. Everything seems great on the play through. As a player I don't really ever notice how certain things are shown on the note highway. So you are probably just being too hard on yourself as the creator to make those octave bends look right. Bottom line is that it is 110% better than the other version out there (not that I don't appreciate the work it took for even the "lesser" CDLC). Didn't realize that we are limited to 4 effects in a song...that makes it even harder to make a really good SP track. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the stuff you are putting out on CF. I have a bunch of your work now and its great fun. I literally grew up to playing along with the tab book from Siamese Dream everyday after school as loud as I could before my parents got home. Playing this stuff again just reminds me how much I love guitar and music. Thank you.
  18. Really excited to try this in a bit. I'll let you know. Thank you!!
  19. Man..this is SO much appreciated!
  20. Soma..soma...soma...soma....soma.
  21. Yeah. He was the first drummer that (as a pure guitarist) I recognized as bringing songs to life as much as a melody or lyrics etc.
  22. The tones for Siva sound amazing. Like paid DLC good. Nice work.
  23. Is it Christmas in May??
  24. I didn't think so. Thought it was all pretty good.
  25. Geek USA is good. The clean tone you made is really good. Thanks.
