I've got a question. How do you guys think rake bends and brush strokes should be charted? For brush strokes, would spacing the notes apart and marking it as an arpeggio work? Sort of like this: e|------------0----- B|-----------1------ G|----------2------- D|---------2-------- A|--------0--------- E|------------------ [Arpeggio] Or would that not work due to notes landing off-beat? Is there a better way to chart/tab it, or should I just leave things like that as a standard chord? For rake bends, how about palm muting the 3 open strings before the note you want to bend, and set it as a chord? something like this: e|------------------ B|---------15b17---- G|---------0x------- D|---------0x------- A|---------0x------- E|------------------ For those that aren't sure what techniques I'm talking about: Rake Bend: When you palm mute rake the open strings to get a percussive sound right before a bend. I believe SRV liked this technique. Brush Stroke: Basically just strumming a chord slowly so that you get a slightly more arpeggio sound of individual notes. A clear example of this would be the very first chord in So Far Away, which is a reverse brush stroke (same as a brush stroke, just strummed backwards/upwards instead of downwards)

Two possibilities that I can think of 1. Check the description for the CDLC. If the creator made a mac version, they likely posted the link in the description. 2. The song doesn't have a mac version. You can check in the ignition browser if it has a mac version. All the way on the right should be platforms, and I believe mac is the 2nd one (M).

I'm having a bit of a problem. I've nearly finished a custom, I just need to add the tone. The problem is, I have two PRFLDB files. One of them doesn't open, it gives me an error (something along the lines of "Value cannot be null. Parameter Name: Item" and the other contains all of the tones I have made except for the one I have just made for this custom. I've tried making a second one, but that doesn't show up, either.

Seems to have worked perfectly, even with abridged on. Thanks a bunch ;)

Updated to RS toolkit 2.8, and EOF 1.8RC12, but still the same issue. Those threads mentioned something about Abridged_RS2 causing graphical issues, but I didn't see anything to do with that in the Import/Export menu like it said. Also, the EOF post mentions something about tech notes and unpitched slides. Maybe instead I have to use a single, unpitched slide note, and use the tech mode to set where it starts the slide? I don't know, I've never used tech view.

Could my software versions be affecting it? I'm running: Rocksmith Custom Song Toolkit (v2.8.0.0-3d133c61) Editor on Fire (v1.8RC11)

Edit: I just tried a work-around where I terminated the first sustain note with another link next note (without vibrato) but that just put an open note with a tiny sustain tail on the end. As a side note, scroll speed in the RS toolkit doesn't seem to make a difference either. Scroll speed speed should be noticeable. Change it to 0.8 and it SHOULD be super fast. Ah! I was under the impression higher number means faster. I'm pretty sure there's even a multiplication symbol in there.

Update: Run ADW Cleaner and it deleted 4 registry keys called something along the lines of cast platform. If I don't post again, it's safe to assume that either the problem is solver, or it got worse and my computer blew up :P

Definitely on the forums, it just randomly pops up without even clicking anything. I'll try ADW cleaner I've already run an Avast and Malwarebytes scan, I'll try ADW cleaner as JSJ suggested. I'm not sure it's a problem on my end, though. Of the many (many) sites I visit, this is the only one that it does it on.

Whenever I use this site, I keep getting popups to malware/scams. They're really annoying, too, have to close the entire browser because they keep popping up with dialogue boxes like "Security Alert, call this number: xyz" etc, and closing that box opens another, and you can't close the tab. This isn't affecting me on Ignition.Customsforge, by the way.

Didn't work, I also tried setting it to 2. I'd like to make a correction, it doesn't show an open note as the slide note, it just doesn't show the note at all.

I'm making a custom, and it's all going good except for one thing: The song ends with a slide out downwards. The first time around, I just charted it as one big un-pitched slide, but there's a small vibrato sustain before the note actually starts sliding out, and it isn't re-picked. I've got it charted as so: D String 16th fret (vibrato + link next) → Un-pitched slide to 0 The problem is, this shows the first note (the vibrato) fine, but the slide at the end doesn't show up at all. Surely it's possible to link next to an un-pitched side. I'm sure I've seen cases where it would have been impossible without it. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just a bug? If needed, I can post screenshots and/or the _p.psarc file.

I tried this and didn't work for me. Could it be because I'm left handed? Do I need to modify the cgm? (I have the cherub rock DLC and CDLCs songs works well) Also, I've been doing some skins for the amps, but can't pack again the gears_pc. I've looking at unpacked psarc files of some of the inlays and tried to learn from your work, but I have no idea how to create the aggregate_graph.nt. Do you think something like this would be possible? To have custom skins for the amps and cabinets? Still doesn't work. I tried with one in the inlays folder and one out, and neither work. I am also a lefty like Peon. Edit: I tried flipping both axes and setting the id to another DLC I owned and it worked :D Just gotta try it with the inlays I Want and the correct way round now. Edit 2: Got it working fine now, and in the correct orientation. For me, I had to flip it horizontally and select "Prayer of the Refugee" as my ID (I own the DLC). Currently using the Sharkfin by frack while I wait for the synyster gates one to be uploaded. Is there any way to convert a psarc back into cgm so that I can flip them, too? Edit 3: Just noticed that at some frets the inlay is slightly off to the side or over the fret. Not sure if it's just this inlay or all.

I do have working CDLC, I own Cherub Rock, Seven Nation Army, the Avenged Sevenfold 3 pack, How You Remind Me and Self Esteem. I have unlocked a few inlays. I will try the method Cozy1 said again and post my results back in a few minutes. Edit: Tried that technique and it still isn't working :(

Followed the tutorial and tried the workaround it said, still doesn't work :( Try this. Pick an inlay ingame. Swap to bass. then swap back to lead or rhythm. Sometimes i have to do this to get mine to show up This still hasn't worked.

Thanks for this, however after trying multiple inlays with both this and the Rocksmith toolkit, none of them show up. I just get a neck with no inlays. What should I do? Edit: I don't see this inlay on the store and I don't see a download link on this page. Where do I get this?

I've installed this but I can't try it until tomorrow. Would you be able to make the fret inlays from the Schecter Synyster Gates signature guitar?
