  1. Happy Birthday Hovenbet!

  2. Ahh, I'm back - been busy. Wow, all the songs this week are absolutely awesome! As usual, I haven't set a score for masterclass, because.. bad, haha (and no lead score for Death Cab for Cutie), but I dooo have videos (and scores here: http://i.imgur.com/x1a2Vr6.jpg)! Arctic Monkeys - Leave Before the Lights Come On Lead - 97.02% / 379 streak Rhythm - 95.51% / 101 streak Bass - 98.68% / 263 streak Death Cab for Cutie - Soul Meets Body (Probably my favourite song in this championship yet, not even kidding.) Lead - not submitted (for reference though, approx. 80% in practising) Rhythm - 92.72% / 136 streak Bass - 98.25% / 144 streak Interpol - Obstacle 1 Lead - 98.66% / 277 streak Rhythm - 92.1% / 223 streak Bass - 98.5% / 331 streak Hope you all had as much fun as I did with these songs (and that there's more like them in the future)!
  3. Whelp, no advanced entry from me this week, that much is almost guaranteed, haha.
  4. Oh god the pain, same here. Anyways, been a busy week for me, however, just making these in the nick of time (proof - http://i.imgur.com/UBbPad6.jpg): The Misfits - Dig Up Her Bones Lead - 96.14%, 109 streak Bass - 99.71%, 481 streak Whitesnake - Walking in the Shadow of the Blues Lead - 92.73%, 128 streak Rhythm - 99.53%, 259 streak Bass - 98.76%, 387 streak Biffy Clyro - Biblical Lead - 89.78%, 68 streak Rhythm - 89.22%, 69 streak Bass - 98.68%, 308 streak The solo in the Whitesnake song was something. I could barely play it enough to be comfortable recording it, aha, so.. my apologies. However, absolutely love the Biffy Clyro song, so thanks to whomever suggested it/picked it (even if I didn't do great at it, 90% isn't too bad though). You did very good on Dig Up Her Bones! I recommend you using alternate picking for the whole song, it will sound better and your hand won't be tired Thanks! (Good work on the custom too by the way) I assume you're referring to the palm muted sections specifically, in which case.. yeah. You're absolutely right, I just can't palm mute + alternate pick - I have no idea why, my hand just refuses to cooperate.

  6. I returrnnn (with videos too)! Guitar Beginner (Wolfmother - Dimension): Lead - 97.04%, 108 streak Intermediate (Social Distortion - Story Of My Life): Lead - 91.98%, 108 streak Rhythm - 94.5%, 172 streak Advanced (Tom Petty - Mary Jane's Last Dance): Lead - 89.76%, 48 streak Rhythm - I don't want to talk about it Bass Beginner (Social Distortion - Story Of My Life): 99.92%, 1275 streak (missed one note) Intermediate (Tom Petty - Mary Jane's Last Dance): 98.51%, 136 streak Advanced (Wolfmother - Dimension): 97.04%, 157 streak Pretty fun songs all around. I love Tom Petty, but really can't play that track well. Maybe it's too hard, maybe the technique is too unusual to me, but alas.. tough. Oh, and here's proof of scores: http://i.imgur.com/54fF1rI.jpg
  7. Wasn't the largest fan of this weeks songs, and didn't feel like up-tuning my bass, as such, only 3 scores this week (and no videos), sorry! Beginner: Lead - 98% accuracy, 93 streak (http://i.imgur.com/w4mwebg.jpg) Rhythm - 96% accuracy, 101 streak (http://i.imgur.com/h87gV3s.jpg) Intermediate: Bass - 95% accuracy, 127 streak (http://i.imgur.com/zeSDI3g.jpg)
  8. Little slow on getting this done this week, things have been busy, howeverrr, here we gooo.. Beginner: Lead - 96.98%, 132 streak Rhythm - 97.84%, 129 streak Bass - 99.49%, 173 streak Intermediate: Lead - 94.77%, 153 streak Rhythm - 94.42%, 81 streak Bass - 96.7%, 641 streak Score screens for proof: http://i.imgur.com/Aokw3Ei.jpg The bass for the intermediate song was.. something. All pretty much simple until the very end, where the quick hand shifting + fretting really messed me up badly. It didn't come out awfully, but certainly threw me a curveball. Oh well! Decent songs for this week.
  9. Thanks! I've been meaning to other weeks, but only got around to it this week. Anyway, here's my intermediate guitar scores (proof: http://i.imgur.com/Iq5nizY.jpg): Lead - 94% accuracy, 109 streak Rhythm - 93% accuracy, 86 streak Anddd the video of both tracks edited together.. Despite how relatively easy the track is, I struggled so much and hope the recording turned out okay. Okay.
  10. Hi guys, I decided to do this week's entries a little differently.. by recording them. Beginner: Lead - 97% accuracy, 179 streak ( )Rhythm - NA Bass - 99% accuracy, 292 streak ( ) Intermediate: Lead - to be done Rhythm - to be done(/is there one?) Bass - 99% accuracy, 524 streak ( ) (And as the score screen isn't shown in my videos, here's the actual score submission: http://i.imgur.com/LZwvRwu.jpg - excuse the low resolution, they were taken from my recordings.) I aim to do the intermediate tracks before Friday, as I'm just waiting on a new guitar - and retuning my strat down to Eb Drop Db and then back to standard is.. not worth the effort considering new guitar, wooOoOOooo. Enjoy the messy room guys! (quick edit: whoops, didn't mean for them all to be embedded.. let me know if this is a problem and I'll try to change it!)
  11. A late entry from me, buuuttt.. Beginner: Lead - 97.91%, 97 streak (http://i.imgur.com/uocNxPm.jpg) Rhythm - 95.45%, 84 streak (http://i.imgur.com/KUDqaGJ.jpg) Bass - 96.94%, 297 streak (http://i.imgur.com/u7Z6GQo.jpg) Intermediate: Lead - 90%, 111 streak (http://i.imgur.com/TWuKnc6.jpg) Rhythm - 89.51%, 104 streak (http://i.imgur.com/X8jWR3W.jpg) Bass - 97.41%, 313 streak (http://i.imgur.com/M8mHjFF.jpg) Man, the guitar arrangements for this weeks intermediate track were something, fun though.. I guess.
  12. Beginner: Lead, 93.55% (93 streak): http://i.imgur.com/r49V56T.jpg Rhythm, 92.5% (91 streak): http://i.imgur.com/vvEE7l5.jpg Bass, 97.26% (98 streak): http://i.imgur.com/ppR3mc6.jpg Intermediate: Lead, 92% (78 streak): http://i.imgur.com/yn9e4rk.jpg Rhythm, 96.57% (238 streak): http://i.imgur.com/q5BaGBm.jpg Bass, 91.76% (92 streak): http://i.imgur.com/pxRcku7.jpg I don't really like Johnny Cash too much (I can appreciate his talent though), and playing the song was.. nightmarish. Chord strumming and Rocksmith just never seem to get along too well for me, oh well. The Miwa (never heard of them before..) song was fun though, even if the solo (after a few tries) still threw me off - I think I need to practise scales at speed. Nonetheless, here's my humble scores for this week (unless I improve, which I doubt). (Also, bass on ChAngE was hell for some reason.)
  13. I actually have scores to set this week! (Been lazyyy) I'm in beginner but figured I'd take a shot at a do-able int song, anddd got a bass/learning to play it, so yeah. Beginner, lead: http://i.imgur.com/ISpLbTp.jpg Beginner, bass: http://i.imgur.com/HPWFPon.jpg Int, lead: http://i.imgur.com/FjhTpaM.jpg Int, bass: http://i.imgur.com/XTLoPu0.jpg The bass on Combat Baby took some extreme getting used to (for a bass track at least - the distance between the frets is still odd to me), but ended up doing better than the lead track. Beginner one was pretty easy (bass and lead) but very fun to play!
  14. What is this tabexplorer you speak of? I assume MaZtoR is referring to this program here: https://github.com/andulv/RSTabExplorer It's pretty damn handy.
  15. Ah awesome. Yeah I checked the CDLC just before I asked, and the only change (listed) was like.. tone and the tuning, I think. So I didn't think it'd be a big deal, but wanted to check nonetheless. http://i.imgur.com/Ut21Vq6l.jpg
