  1. Ok so I redid or added the links all the way to the end of Senjutsu. I just need to do B-Sides and Solo albums and consider cleaning up the format to ensure an entry doesn't wrap to a 2nd line. I'll do this in the coming days. I found another regrettable casualty. All of the venerable charter @ PC Plum customs are tragically gone from Ignition. For Iron Maiden this means that the great CDLC for The Talisman is gone, as well as 90% of the Silicon Messiah Blaze album and All The Young Dudes (Bruce solo album Tatooed Millionaire) So to complete the Iron Maiden discography we need the following 3 songs: Holy Smoke Age of Innocence The Talisman It would be cool if I could link to my Google Drive for each of the missing CDLC but I think it is against the rules of Customsforge unless I adopt them, I suppose, but I cannot dedicate that kind of time for the foreseeable future. You can PM me for a copy, but I get the feeling I will get overwhelmed... any suggestions. The best I could think of is you PM'ing me for a copy in the case you wish to adopt a given CDLC and publish it in Ignition. In the future, I see value in specifying which arrangements cover which guitarist. I really like the @ coldrampage model of being faithful to each guitarist tab then adding a Bonus Lead with all solos in one CDLC, though I understand some Rhythm players might object but I say it is the Maiden experience. I did the annotations for Senjutsu, but would like to clean it up further.
  2. OK, so I am nearing the finish line with updating all the links to each CDLC Record Page . I only have AMOLAD and newer albums to finish as well as Solo Albums and B-Sides. This is quite long and tedious. Pretty please CF no more changing the URL of CDLC. Special shoutout to @ Nacholede who really outdid himself in being so consistently prolific in adding quality customs of Maiden for our enjoyment!!! @ Replicators a bunch of your amazing Maiden CDLC have fallen out of Ignition for some reason! I presume they got pruned for broken links. I presume that's why my MacGyver CDLC got dropped too... (I'll add that back soon). Would it be possible to re-add your Maiden stuff, since it is criminal that the rest of us not benefit from your hard work. Also, as it stands now, there is therefore no version of Holy Smoke or Age of Innocence to be found on CustomsForge and therefore the discography is incomplete. By the end of the week all links should be restored. Version numbers updated when applicable, new entries added, new full-album CDLC added, a new section for CDLC no longer in Ignition added, a section at the end for Iron Maiden tribute songs and compilations added. Up The Irons!
  3. Oh boy. I don't know why the links are broken. I will try my best to update everything soon. Thanks for your patience! Plus, lots of new Iron Maiden CDLC to link to, including entire album CDLC. Exciting times for sure!
  4. Hi raynebc. Way too long no speak. Hope you are well. TRying to download the latest hotfix 9-26-2020 in the OP and it is a dead link, FYI.
  5. Thank-you @ coldrampage It worked. I am so pleased!
  6. Anyone know how to tighten the spacing between songs in this OP. It used to look tighted but now some albums' song seems to skip lines between songs... Makes it less reader-friendly and I would like to fix it. For example when there is only one charter for a song the text behaves, but as soon as there are multiple charters, unwanted spacing occurs between lines.... but somehow Out of the Silent Planet behaves normally.... go figure.... Anyone know? Also Book of Souls and Senjutsu have spacing between lines despite there being no multiple charters...
¡Buena suerte!
  8. So Senjutsu just released! It's growing on me fast! After 3 listens I am already quite fond of it. I tried to be modern and simply download it from Apple Store but this time around, contrary to Book of Souls, there is no digital booklet. I really miss the booklet experience. I think I will buy the album again... Any way I will keep a watchful eye on any new Senjutsu album CDLC and link to your creations here. I have a feeling these will make awesome CDLC with so many cool riffs on the album. Thanks in advance for youe effort. P.S. I haven't had a chance to see the new contributions from August 2020 till now. Sorry if I kept you waiting. I'll check things out and update this thread's OP ASAP. Up The Irons!
  9. There exist a couple of customs, to my knowledge, in Ignition, with what you are looking for, though not preceded by the prefix “You”. Both by PC Plum (his links are all dead now but people might post their copy for you - I think that is how it works, but check forum rules first) : “History of Rock Mashup” and “Guns n Roses solos”. Great thread TomSawyer!! Good to see you out and about!
  10. Unpack CDLC. Convert extracted audio file To whatever format you like. Cozy1 even made tool to convert audio files.
  11. Hi guys and girls! Been too long. Miss you and long to spend more time with you, let alone, the guitar. Nice to see a bunch of fresh new faces here. As you'll see below, I am not a threat. :) Week 344! Yikes! That is impressive!! Thanks to our tireless organizers! I know a think or two about their labour-of-love effort, albeit on a much smaller scale. Here is my cold score in this beloved 80's masterpiece. First time I pick up a guitar in nearly 4 months and any significant playing in 3 years.... I yearn to get back into the groove. Need to find a serious job first ... :) I think I noticed you guys work in a CS class system (no more free bird?) so please feel free to neglect entering my hopefully upcoming improvements this week. Sorry I didn't have time to read any new rules or this thread. Just take my post here as a HELLO
  12. Just thought I'd say hi and happy belated 300th birthday!! Rock-on amigos!
  13. I just logged in here for the first time in a while due to RL tribulations. I am really annoyed by the ad that pops up at the bottom of this page and which reappears 5 seconds after close the previous one. Not the "Welcome back" I was hoping. Grrrrrr. Nothing gets me more angry than ads. Well ok, insurers do. :) Thanks James for all the hard work you do, BTW!!
  14. My son and I tried them. This is exactly the type of stuff I am seeking. Great thanks. This will keep us going for a while. Maybe once your son sees your daughter excelling, he’ll double back and try to outperform. Honestly I wish I had discovered RS at their age when time and brain absorbency was in abundance. In a last ditch effort to keep me playing violin, my dad promised that the girls would flock to me if I continued. I was 12. Had he said this just a couple of years later when that would’ve been more poignant, perhaps I woukdn’t always be in last place in your CS, assuming violin would’ve translated well to guitar. LOL. Anyway, you are a very good dad putting the effort for your kids like this! Plus an arcade cabinet ... coolest dad ever!! :) Awesome that you’ll add more. Cheers!
  15. Great thanks Rodman. My 6 year old will love this!! Can't believe I didn;t see this sooner. I also wanted to make CDLC for him. Then another baby was born and I was forced to abandon my plans for now. I missed the boat, now he want to play Iron Maiden's epic 18-minute song: Empire of the Clouds! I have a new respect for Dynamic Difficulty, as I watch my son play. It really motivates our kids when they level up, all the while keeping harder songs manageable. This is a great thing you've done. I look forward to trying these!! Cheers and hope your son still enjoys guitar!
  16. Hi gang, long time no posting here from me, but I try to post my mediocrity :) when I can. Lots of new faces here i don't know .. and with some serious chops! Nice to see this gang thriving!! Love this song from my fellow country-woman. I just had to make time to try it! 2nd attempt without RR'ing. I post that since i like to see the improvement throughout the week from cold to practiced, however unbecoming the cold score is ... :) Cheers and have a great week! http://i920.photobucket.com/albums/ad41/Berneer/CustomsForge%20Championship/Week%20259%20-%20Week%20ending%2014Oct2018/Alannah%20Myles%20-%20Black%20Velvet%20-%20Lead%20-%20Post%202_zps3ozqxhkf.png
  17. If memory serves and not being in fromt of my computer, there is no alternate attribute in XML. For my MacGyver CDLC I had “alternate lead” show up in-game simply due to the fact that I labelled two arrangements in the toolkit as lead without calling them bonus arrangements. Probably doesn’t help anything here. But in case it did I thought i’d Share. If ever you need me to check that custom I can do so. I think my metronome arrangements were labeled as alternate... prior to Remastered Max5 requirement. Cheers
  18. Yes, you are right. I just would find it slick if the game had that nice visual effect. That’s all I meant. Cheers, I’ve been away but not far away... :) Miss you guys!
  19. I would love if handshapes in the game slid frets parallel to their sliding notes to emphasize a continuous handshape is recommended ...
  20. Cool! If ever you felt it was one of those cases where a sustaining open note clouds the intent You could consider authoring per Firekorn/iminashi method. But definitely your 2nd example is rendering as expected using chordify and should be obvious enough, although it is not the sequence you show in EoF given that the fingered notes in-game appear to be on frets 4 and 5, not 1and 2. The advantage of Iminashi/firekorn method is that you would define 2 consecutive, tightly adjacent (inperceptably separated) hanshapes so the fingering would evolve as the hammer-on is meant to be played.
  21. Sorry for the delay in responding. It looks like you are using Chordify properly with the LinkNext tech notes. I don’t understand why you say one handshape is working but the other one isn’t. It seems to me like both in-game renders exhibit the same unwanted behaviour of the blue lane highlights (handshape highlights) not encapsulating the notes in the handshake. It seems to me like you need to set the time stamp at the exact millisecond of the chord in question using one of EoF’s “seek” functions, and changing the Fret Hand Position (FHP) (Ctrl+F, if memory serves) to change after the previous chord. Hammering on with the index or middle finger, for example would seem appropriate. So setting FHP to 1 should make the desired chordified chord with a sweet continuous unbroken handdshape lane highlight. If ever I am still not getting what you are trying to do you will really need to post the music sheets so we could really understand what is intended. Good luck.
  22. Agree with Seph, your custom, should look how it makes you happy. ODLC is a good reference but you are the sculpter. :) Always good to see the final result. Please post an EoF screenshot and in-game screenshot of your final choices if you are ok to share. Also helpful for the next person with your question. Faster like this since not sure when I’ll be firing up Rocksmith next ... :)
  23. Good point firekorn, a new handshape would improve the fingering to cater for finger changes. I found a way to make that work with chordify with handshapes separated by 1ms, which I did for initial versions of my Blaze custom. One case where I think I would prefer Chordify is when one or a few notes of a sustaining chord contain tech notes whose exact location on the note tail are important, such as bends or stop notes. Also chordify doesn’t force the charter to make sustains. Fedro, I’d Enjoy seeing an in-game screenshot of your final choices, posted here. Been out of this for a while. I am feeling a bit rusty :) but I can say I definitely miss all our interactions!!
  24. I agree Firekorn that your way is good enough. I prefer chordify, but not always. If ever the sequence of notes makes it such that chordify note tails makes the chart unreadable or cumbersome, perhaps such as the sustaining open string hiding the flurry of HOPO happening underneath then I think it is warranted to tolerate the break in hand shape. For my Blaze custom intro, I opted to not use Chordify and chose to let the player’s ears guide him/her into interpreting the requirement for a sustain. Where I prefer chordify is that one doesn’t need a handshape gap, which literally would see me interpret this as meaning, “stop whatever notes are sustaining”. I find it more elegant and accurate to not break the handshape blue outline. Plus I would have to check but do you get the proper finger numbers showing up with the split handshape. I like the sustaining open note appearing underneath a complex riff on the other strings. It really hammers home the “Let Ring” guidance. The Metal song by Tenacious D can also be made to look nicer with Chordify with one long handshape outline which will, IMO, more quickly help the player master the passage at a glance rather than letting him/her feel assaulted with tons of broken handshape outlines. Chordify is not limited to HOPO. There are tons of cool ways to use it and I would have to examine if your (and iminashi’s) split handshape method is also applicable. Perhaps the song/passage will dictate the preferred authoring. Certainly the split handshape shouldn’t be too anti-intuitive.
  25. Thanks. Sure PM me any time and I will try not to take too long to reply. If ever I don’t reply quickly enough I won’t feel bad that you might post in a thread for all to see. But I will try my best to help.
