  1. Happy Birthday DarkAngel!

  2. Happy Birthday DarkAngel!

  3. EDIT: Okay apparently you have the page placement in some hidden happy place and merely declare the page global for nothing. I'm not really sure but it seems this number does not affect the page placement from within the actual page function. I really want to see this fixed and I'm going to dig around but a little help from the actual developer would be nice. I did find it, your pagination is actually poorly programmed because it does not base off the "page" index. It's located in the object "page_settings" Since some how it gets based on "page_settings.skip" to decide what it's loading on the next page load. I was able to clear this bug by instead changing what I originally had posted, untested to: page_setting.skip = 0;
  4. I haven't experienced many problems with Ignition however one thing is bothering me, if I'm going to utilize it I'm going to group artists, it's great to not have to scroll through the 100 or so Metallica sets to get to Mudvane. Long story short, there's a bug in a pagination. If I'm on page 3 of "R" and switch to "S" it will load page 1 but still think I'm on the 3rd listing, so if I click next, it will not load page 2, it will load page 4. Please set assets/js/search/browse_functions2.js [somewhere in the function call at Line: 893] page = 0; #or page = 1;Please K Thx; This will reset the page placement on index navigations.
  5. I'm Bam (not my real name but only blood relatives call me by my real name anyway.) TBH, I'm quite used to being called "Dark" or "DarkAngel" textually as well as it has been used in some way for the 10 years in my web handles as well. I'm 29, born and raised just north of and some of my life in, Detroit, Michigan. I been into electronics (circuitry) for most my life but all those jobs seem to go to the Chinese or Koreans now (no offense.) I picked up web programming over 10 years ago as a hobby and worked as a freelancer developing for a couple years before I determined the effort wasn't worth the pay. I've never bought a manufactured computer in my life. Since age 12 I have been either frankensteining computers or commissioning my own builds. I always said if they make it a video game I can learn it. Rocksmith seems to challenge me on that claim, although I will admit I have learned a lot, as well as some bad guitar habits I'm sure. I alway had the desire to learn an instrument but never really had the motivation. I picked up RS when it originally was released for PC and it has successfully achieved both teaching me and motivating me. Also, I'm into rock and metal so it's nice to be able to play along to the songs I love :)
  6. This is actually difficult and easy at the same time... it's easy because it just requires one line of code after a successful page (AJAX) call: $('body').scrollTop($('#dynamic').offset().top)It's also difficult because they're using a pre-programmed and minified (light encryption) API for the charting and the calls to the server. I'm trying to find where to inject the line but it's proving to be a hassle. Also, it's just a simple line to get the job done and the way the page is coded would cause the page to actually scroll down if the top navigation is used and the user is scrolled above the table. (Based on what I'm gathering from the code.)
  7. This issue has been resolved. :)
  8. I shall confirm this thread as a still existing problem. My initial determination for this problem is the IP Board is actually throwing a 404 Header which is being picked up by the hosting and rather than showing a null result it is displaying the aforementioned 404 handler.
  9. CF doesn't host it. My suggestion. UPGRADE it's well worth it.PS: This is WAY off topic.
  10. That was how "Free Speed" used to work in RS1... They kind of took it out for RS2014 apparently... But it mostly worked like Accelerator anyway, it would start you off and you would play through every note and it would "calculate" your speed based on how you played the first run through then it would continue you at the assumed best practice speed until you played it (basically switching to Accelerator after.)
  11. If you want some other songs that you should be able to master quickly:Ramones: Blitzkrieg Bop (Lead; RS2014; Once you get the shifting and strum pattern it's a cinch.) Ramones: I Wanna Be Sedated (Lead; CDLC; Pretty much the same concept as above) Queens of the Stone Age: Go With the Flow (Rhythm: RS1; Pack if you have it) Rob Zombie: Dragula (Lead; CDLC; Surprising this one is pretty easy too; Just a little Vibrato in the beginning and only a tad bit of quick fretting in a couple spots but only for a couple beats) Marilyn Manson: Tainted Love [Cover] (Lead; CDLC) --- Getting a little more advanced: (Just a little ;) ) Marilyn Manson: Sweet Dreams [Cover] (Lead; CDLC; Once you get the riff down it's really fun, the most difficult part of the song would only have to be the riff+slides but not hard to Master and a very recognizable riff.) I'm sure there's more but I'm just going on what I see to be pretty easy, Personally, I think that Bloodhound Gang songs are pretty easy myself, I started on those when I first got into CDLC but a majority of their songs are pretty derogatory. (Come on this is the band that brought you the song "The Bad Touch (Discovery Channel)", which I'm surprised hasn't been charted...) ---- I kind of just realize I went way off topic with this post.... :-
  12. [Artist_Name]-[Track_Title]-v[#.#]_[p|m].psarc (or otherwise extentioned for their platform.) Personally my favorite naming scheme so far. Linkin_Park-In_The_End-v1.3_p.psarc Drowning_Pool-Bodies-v2.3_p.psarc I personally like it this way better because 99% of the time I prefer to browse by artist. Matter of factly the only time I don't browse by artist would be in game, and the exception would be "Tuning."
  13. I'm horrid with the charting but I suppose simply repacking shouldn't be an issue for me. The ratios seem to be different between the files I noticed this in. The Bloodhound Gang seems to be ~33% actual Mastery The Status Quo seems to be ~40% actual Mastery It's really no big deal to me except for one little dilemma, sometimes I'll do the "Rocksmith Recommends" and it will tell me to get something like 37%~39% on the Bloodhound Gang song, but even in FULL Master Mode, nailing the entire song 100% (which for my ears is an impossibility because the key changes don't line up for me according to the chart,) I can only max the chart at 36.3% mathematically. Really it don't matter much anymore because I played them for the unlocks and I'm pretty sure I have all the progress content unlocked now.
  14. This seems to be going around, I had noticed this in Bloodhound Gang - Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo [soilman's Chart] a long while ago from SA before CF. Not in any of my other CDLC's that I'm aware of. I had reported it to him but hopefully you guy's can figure this out and I'll link him to this topic as to what the problem may be. It happened after he added auto tone Switching to his chart. Possibility it's on my end too, I'll wait and see if anyone else seems to have the bug that downloads it, figure out if it's a chart or installation problem. Not sure if I really care about learning either of the other songs on this thread but I'm gonna try one just for the sake of science. EDIT: Bug is definitely in the chart: (Didn't mean to nail it bro but the chart is kind of an easy play...) https://www.dropbox.com/s/nejpgtu3r99dhyq/rs2014-SQ-YITAN.png
