  1. Metric - Gimme Sympathy Not my favourite metric song to play, but it did lead to a morning of playing other songs of theirs, which was a lot of fun! Rage Against the Machine - Guerilla Radio I already know this song from shinyditto12's version - sounds perfectly fine to me and I'm not sure I'm that keen on re-learning a new version for this week, so here's a score from the way I learned it. http://i67.tinypic.com/nnw969.png Native Construct - Chromatic Lights Sorry, but I can't even listen to this ! Polkadot Stingray - Electric Public Looks a bit beyond me, but I'll give it a shot.
  2. Adv Lead: Still can't nail the beginner tune :)
  3. Easing back into Championship life with what I thought was beginner lead, but now I see has been switched to intermediate: Have to say I thought this was easier than Bad Girlfriend.
  4. MC Bass Adv Rhythm - there's always one random note that misses
  5. MC Rhythm http://i63.tinypic.com/2008z8x.png I'll try some metallica tomorrow if I can find the time. As if Christmas wasn't busy enough on it's own I'm moving job, house and country in January. Tis the season to be stressed, fa la la la la, la la la la.
  6. MC Lead - small improvement http://i64.tinypic.com/8xmqgh.png Haven't played any bass in ages http://i68.tinypic.com/157en4m.png
  7. Int Lead http://i66.tinypic.com/11smlo2.png Not bad for a first effort. More work needed on the solos.
  8. MC Lead - new song for me, really enjoying playing this. Few bits to improve and the last three or four sections to learn, but this will do for today.
  9. Back again :) For the last 6 or 7 months I've been spending all my guitar playing time taking lessons and working towards my first proper guitar grade exam. - the playing side was fairly straight forward (although I learned a lot about dynamics and 'feel'), but I was so far behind in things like scale knowledge, improvising and ear training that it was a lot of work and there wasn't any time left for rocksmithing. Nice to get back to playing for fun for a while :) Just the one score to share so far -
  10. Finally got internet in my new house ! Not playing as much as I was, pretty tired in the evenings after work. Managed to get a few decent scores for the week though. http://s30.postimg.org/rox92yws1/clapton_bass.png http://s21.postimg.org/aatsbo6k7/blue_hearts_bass.png http://s22.postimg.org/5o7xyp0vl/shocking_blue_bass.png http://s21.postimg.org/8dx273fw7/blue_hearts_lead.png http://s22.postimg.org/y51uj5hgx/green_day_lead.png http://s22.postimg.org/rif6pyzsh/shocking_blue_lead.png
  11. Hey everyone ! I finally got a job :) Moving down to Dublin (as soon as I find somewhere to live !) so flat out getting things sorted. Tomorrow I'm forgoing my usual St Patricks day tradition of drinking too much by heading off on a hiking trip and Friday I have to redo my Safe Pass course to allow me to work on construction sites. All in all not much time to play this week, but I'll try and get a few scores posted up before weeks end. Hope everyone's enjoying Feel Good Inc, be sure to check out Leo's youtube account, he does metal covers of pop songs and rocks pretty damn hard.
  12. I like @@albatross213 suggestion. That way we get customs for the week updated quickly, without have to wait for the charter who may be busy/rarely online, while they get the input of multiple championship players to help improve the custom where needed. That's a win win situation in my book. Anyway, updates. 100% Megadeth bass (the older version) http://s11.postimg.org/usyzzfuoj/megadeth_architecture_of_aggression_bass.png First try putting the rhythm part together (newest version), quite a bit of improvement possible but I'm finding it quite tiring on the fretting hand. Still working on the lead path. http://s7.postimg.org/roxhcvzzv/megadeth_architecture_of_aggression_rhythm.png
  13. First proper go putting Megadeth bass together in SA. Couple of small parts to perfect, but nothing major. http://s23.postimg.org/5756eo8mf/megadeth_architecture_of_aggression_bass.jpg
  14. Updates for Wings and Scandal lead http://s8.postimg.org/bps8kawdx/Wings_Band_on_the_Run_lead.png Definitely a challenging intermediate song. http://s22.postimg.org/6itdvorox/scandal_skunkan_sentimental_lead.png Still some work to do on both, but focusing on Megadeth for the next while.
  15. Blink 182 - from my least favourite blink album, but this isn't a bad song. http://s10.postimg.org/x5dgxzill/blink_182_asthenia_lead.png http://s18.postimg.org/456fuxbnd/blink_182_asthenia_bass.png Wings - clearly McCartney writes great songs, but literally every cover of a Wings song I've ever heard sounds better than the original. It'd be awesome if someone would make a custom of the foo fighters version of this one. http://s15.postimg.org/ea7heomgb/Wings_Band_on_the_Run_lead.png http://s16.postimg.org/qzhe94pxh/Wings_Band_on_the_Run_bass.png Scandal - another new Japanese band for me, enjoying this one http://s8.postimg.org/gxi6zq5bp/scandal_skunkan_sentimental_lead.png http://s24.postimg.org/awgv8v9np/scandal_skunkan_sentimental_bass.png Megadeth - no screens yet, still working through all the paths, but I've been listening to Countdown to Extinction a lot recently - it really is a great album.

  17. Took a break from sucking at MC lead to improve my MC rhythm score. I'm now convinced the game hates me and won't let me 100% this, so here it is with one miss. http://s9.postimg.org/u2l5nq34v/ten_years_after_i_d_love_to_change_the_world_r.png
  18. @@then3verend yup, second test pics are working fine.
  19. MC Rhythm - notes wise it's pretty easy, but the concentration required to deal with the repetitiveness makes it a bit of a challenge. http://s13.postimg.org/ewix6s3o7/ten_years_after_i_d_love_to_change_the_world_r.png
  20. Played some Ghost today http://s8.postimg.org/o9bty69px/Ghost_Monstrance_Clock_lead.png http://s27.postimg.org/nibj2ps2r/Ghost_Monstrance_Clock_bass.png @@then3verend congrats on the new guitar, an excellent choice ! Also, if you're looking for a new pic hosting site, I use postimage.org - works just fine, and no captcha's.
  21. Back from my little holiday, needed a short break from playing to avoid burnout. MC Bass: http://s14.postimg.org/jscv01lc1/Grease_The_One_I_want_bass.png Fun song this week in Advanced http://s23.postimg.org/fo3cfb163/Ninos_Skreamska_lead.png http://s22.postimg.org/cqsiqy11t/Ninos_Skreamska_rhythm.png http://s30.postimg.org/roly2l21d/Ninos_Skreamska_bass.png
  22. Started on the Dream Theater solo tonight, but I wasn't really in the mood so I played Black Keys songs all evening instead - I regret nothing ! @@NoonyDeloony there's nothing fwrong with your frog, looks great ! I tried making a bunny for easter once, we don't talk about it.
  23. Updates on my week so far. Beatles: http://s14.postimg.org/yu36f1txt/beatles_she_loves_you_lead.png I don't play enough of these types of songs, my chord playing has gone downhill. Took a good few goes to get this down. http://s7.postimg.org/hfikysx6j/beatles_she_loves_you_bass.png Iron Maiden: Working on getting the descending legato lick up to speed, everything else is done. Dream Theatre: Bass is finished, unfortunately the low tuning leaves my strings with all the tension of wet noodles which leads to lots of note recognition issues. I had a run earlier where I hit every note but finished with 98.75%. It is what it is, nothing I can do about it. Guitar wise I've done most of the rhythm parts and I'll be starting on the solo tomorrow.
  24. @@albatross213 new bass path for Dream Theater works nicely, good job ! For the guitar path I have one or two issues - backing audio is very loud, makes it hard to hear what I'm playing - one or two palm mutes in the riff don't seem to have been imported correctly - the end of the verse section is much more complex than any other tab or cover video I've seen, something like the way it's done here https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/d/dream_theater/the_looking_glass_ver2_guitar_pro.htm might be better. The 469/468 chords are correct, you can see it being played that way in the music video, so I'd leave them as is.
