I'm another justin guitar fan. it took me a month or two to learn the D A and E chords and then switch between them quickly. Justin guitar also gives you insights - such as when changing chords you may have an 'anchor' finger etc. once the first couple months were done, things came pretty quickly after that.

Does anyone record/make music videos? If so, what's your setup? any tips or better yet, what not to do?!? lol- that is just as important I use a PC so i'm looking at the RME babyface with totalmix FX. The apogee looks good but i'm not a mac person. (not yet anyway - refurb ipads don't seem to bad in price) I may build a system depending on how far down this rabbit hole I end up going! (and no, this isn't a mac vs. pc thread...lol.. those can get heated!)

Thanks for the great ideas! I actually use the youtube videos to dissect finger placement tips and review the notes in a solo. riff repeater can be a pain when I pause it to see the notes and it restarts the phrase. sometimes even a 1 speed is too fast! but now i should do a 'clean' version to study the notes.
