@UsualBread Plz try the latest beta revision of the toolkit and let us know if it works for you.  Should be fixed now.
  2. cozy1's post in [BUG / needed improvement] - multipacks are not shown was marked as the answer
The toolkit is not writing the correct comment to Song Packs.  Will fix in next rev.

EDIT: should be fixed now.  CFSM will show an old Song Pack repair status as Unknown.  Song Packs created with latest toolkit will show actual status.  If you can download individual CDLC that are in the Song Pack you can repair these and then create your own Song Pack if so desired with the toolkit.
  3. cozy1's post in [small ISSUE] repair status was marked as the answer
Good catch, there was a data field mismatch in the code that prevented 'RepairStatus' from being shown.  This will be fixed in the next beta release.

NOTE: By default the 'RepairStatus' column is normally disabled.   You can enable/disable this column (and other columns) by right clicking on a column header (just like in SongManager) and then select 'RepairStatus'.  Alternatively you can enable 'RepairStatus' in the 'Settings' tab menu immediately after leaving the 'Duplicates' tab menu.
  4. cozy1's post in How to download 1.4.1.1 Release? was marked as the answer
1.4.1.1 release link downloads 1.4.0.1 Beta.   Could be a problem with the link.

Tried 1.4.1.3 Beta but it scans every file for everything.  Delete all 'My Documents/CFSM/*.xml" files, also delete the 'DgvSettings' subfolder.  You can also try using the 'Settings' menu radio button 'Reset CFSM On Closing' to restore the application defaults.  Maybe a bad settings file or song database.

Why does the Beta FORCEFULLY downloads the newest Beta? Why not let the user decide what version to install in their PC? Betas tend to have problems (that is why they are Betas) so if the newest one doesnt work, forcing its installation breaks everything.  Go to the Settings menu and uncheck 'Enable Auto Update'.   Use the CFSM release version if you have problems with the beta version, caveat the release version is self help (unsupported).

A page where we can download ALL previous versions would make life easier for everyone.  Interesting.  Maybe someone from the CF community could post a link to previous versions of CFSM for you.

I just need a stable release.  I'll fix the link to the release version.

    EDIT: Links are fixed.
  5. cozy1's post in A fatal CFSM application error was marked as the answer
For the benifit of the thread readers, I am posting excerpt from my PM response below:

There's not much to go on since the songsInfo.xml file is missing from the CFSM folder.
    From the debug.log file:
    [2017.10.06 13.48.43]: Parsing archives from F:\redacted\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc took: 38549 (msec)
[2017.10.06 13.49.19]: User aborted deleting CFSM folder and subfolders from My Documents ...

    Here's what I would try:
    1) Rename the F:\redacted\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc folder to 'dlc_backup'

    2) Create a new empty 'dlc' folder and copy only one known good oDLC psarc into the 'dlc' folder for testing.

    3) Restart CFSM.   You should answer yes and allow CFSM to delete the working folders from My Documents if asked.

    4) Select the new 'dlc' folder that has only one oDLC inside (if asked) and see if CFSM runs as expected.

If this works then try coping all oDLC and CDLC over from the F:\redacted\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc_backup folder back to the clean 'dlc' folder.

If CFSM throws the same error then you may have a corrupt CDLC that is causing the issue.  You will have to hunt and find (quarantine) to fix if this is the case.  As you pointed out some of your file naming is dubious.  As an example,  '[2017.10.06 13.48.38]:  - The Cranberries - Zombie (3 Distinct Guitar Parts) L = Dolores R = Hogan clean BR = Hogan dist_v1_p.psarc'
  6. cozy1's post in 1.4.1.1 Beta D3DX9_42.dll validation/replacement problem was marked as the answer
In CFSM 'Settings' menu just uncheck the box 'Validate the D3DX9_42.dll' and CFSM won't replace your file.
  7. cozy1's post in Error 404 on CFSM setup was marked as the answer
@boysetsfire  There is a bug in the release version of CFSM installer.  You should be using the beta version of CFSM.  Following the directions here and you will be a happy camper.

  9. cozy1's post in Questions about CFSM was marked as the answer
0 posts 0 thanks 0 warning points What have you tried so far?  Almost every feature in CFSM has tooltip popups if you hover over the item.  These tooltips will guide you and tell you what the tool does.  There are also several dedicated help messages and tutorials in the program.

If you install CFSM on a new computer it will automatically rebuild the songinfo.xml file and other CFSM support files.  So no worries.

User profiles are also known as game saves, this tool backups you current progress in the game.  In case your save ever gets corrupted from playing corrupt CDLC you will have a backup copy.  These backups you will want to save when you move to a new computer, though you won't be able to use them on the new computer unless you use CGT Game Save Gigbox to transfer them (that's another question for another thread though).   Just hang onto these backups and if they are ever needed you will have them.  Don't even think about installing them on the new computer.  It will just hose up your fresh Rocksmith 2014 Remeaster install.

After a fresh Steam install of Rocksmith 2014 Remastered on the new computer, all you will need to do is move your CDLC manually over to the new computer.  Then install and run CFSM.  CFSM will install the proper d3dx9_42.dll file for you in the proper location so that you can play CDLC again.  CFSM will also populate a new songinfo.xml file when run it on the new computer.

  11. cozy1's post in i can't play any cdlc songs :c was marked as the answer
The latest beta version of CFSM validates the 'D3DX9_42.dll' installation each time the user runs CFSM.  If the dll is not installed or the user has the wrong dll installed then the user will be prompted, and CFSM will install the correct dll, into the correct location.  Give CFSM a try if you are still having trouble getting Rocksmith 2014 Remastered working with CDLC.

Footnote: Be sure to buy and install 'Cherub Rock' in the 'dlc' folder first and save yourself a lot of headaches.

  12. cozy1's post in have a new one, at least for me, looking for suggestions was marked as the answer
"backup/remastered/corrupt"  and other CFSM related files are now stored in the 'My Documents/CFSM'.

You can delete the  '..steam/steamapps/common/rocksmith2014/backup' folder and any subfolders if it is empty.
  13. cozy1's post in Couple of questions about CFSM was marked as the answer
'Is there a way to mass move my CDLC from my dlc folder to the cdlc folder that CFSM creates in the dlc folder, via CSFM?'
There are a several ways to do this with CFSM (I recommend option #2 as the simplest and fastest).   WARNING - FIRST MAKE A COMPLETE BACKUP of the 'dlc' folder in case something goes wrong.
From CFSM 'Setlist Manager' menu item, click on button 'C', Create new setlist.  Enter 'MyCDLC' as the setlist name ('cdlc' is a reserved name and can not be typed here) and click 'OK' button.  In the 'Setlist' data table, check the 'Select' checkbox for the Setlist Name you just created.  Now in the 'Master Songs' data table, click on buton 'T', Toggle selected.  Individually deselect any ODLC (Bold Italicized Songs) that you do not want to move to the 'MyCDLC' setlist folder.  Finally, from the 'Master Songs' data table, click on buton 'M' Move selected to setlist.  All your CDLC will be moved to 'MyCDLC' subfolder inside the 'dlc' folder.
WARNING -  THIS WILL RENAME ALL YOUR CDLC to format 'Artist_Title_Version_p.psarc'.  If you don't want to rename your CDLC then use option #1 above.

From CFSM 'Song Manager' menu item click 'Select All/None' so that all of your CDLC are selected.  Next select 'Files' menu strip then from the dropdown, select  'Organize ArtistName Subfolder'.  This will move all your CDLC to Artist Name subfolders inside the 'dlc' folder.  Finally, from 'Files' menu strip then from the dropdown, select  'Restore CDLC to the 'dlc' Folder.  All of your CDLC are quickly moved to the 'cdlc' subfolder inside the 'dlc' folder.
WARNING -  THIS WILL RENAME ALL YOUR CDLC to whatever format you select.  From CFSM 'Song Manager' menu item click 'Select All/None' so that all of your CDLC are selected.  Next from CFSM 'Renamer' menu item, check the box 'Rename only the songs that are selected in Song Manager'.  In the 'Renaming Template' enter 'cdlc\\' without the quotes into in front of __.   NOTE: you can change the template naming format to anything you like (Be sure to read the Renamer on screen directions).  When you are finished creating the template, click on button 'Preview'.  This will show you in the 'Log' what the file naming will look like.  If you are happy with the results click on button 'Rename All Songs'.
      Enjoy.

CFSM just doing a good job.   :plus1:  You had lots of corrupt CDLC.  The few that have 'Could not apply DD to:' we would have to debug the psarc to understand better.

Look here for an explanation of why CFSM removes corrupt CDLC.

These are my debugging notes for the EOF project files you provided:
Album artwork is missing from EOF project folder.  Toolkit will use default.  Recommend using 512x512 JPEG Album Artwork. Custom tone 'Solo' is not defined/missing.  Toolkit will use 'default' tone.  Recommend defining the custom tone, Solo.tone2014.xml. There are many audio files in the EOF project folder.  Use 'guitar.wav' file to generate the CDLC and be sure to delete the two wem files before regenerating. Delete cst_showlights.xml file before regenerating. The CDLC (click here) generated as expected on my system with no errors.  The CDLC plays through in-game with no stacked color bars.  I am not able to produce your results.

Here is what you can look for to understand the difference between EOF Abridged XML files vs Toolkit XML files ...
    EOF Abridged XML (Example from arrangement provided in EOF project files that had already been processed by toolkit on your machine. This is the cause of the stacked colored bars on the note highway in game.) </note> <note time="70.794" fret="3" string="1" /> <note time="71.005" fret="4" string="1" /> <note time="71.427" fret="0" palmMute="1" string="1" /> Toolkit XML (After generating the CDLC with the toolkit the arrangement xml should look like this.) </note> <note time="70.794" linkNext="0" accent="0" bend="0" fret="3" hammerOn="0" harmonic="0" hopo="0" ignore="0" leftHand="-1" mute="0" palmMute="0" pluck="-1" pullOff="0" slap="-1" slideTo="-1" string="1" sustain="0" tremolo="0" harmonicPinch="0" pickDirection="0" rightHand="-1" slideUnpitchTo="-1" tap="0" vibrato="0" /> <note time="71.005" linkNext="0" accent="0" bend="0" fret="4" hammerOn="0" harmonic="0" hopo="0" ignore="0" leftHand="-1" mute="0" palmMute="0" pluck="-1" pullOff="0" slap="-1" slideTo="-1" string="1" sustain="0" tremolo="0" harmonicPinch="0" pickDirection="0" rightHand="-1" slideUnpitchTo="-1" tap="0" vibrato="0" /> <note time="71.427" linkNext="0" accent="0" bend="0" fret="0" hammerOn="0" harmonic="0" hopo="0" ignore="0" leftHand="-1" mute="0" palmMute="1" pluck="-1" pullOff="0" slap="-1" slideTo="-1" string="1" sustain="0" tremolo="0" harmonicPinch="0" pickDirection="0" rightHand="-1" slideUnpitchTo="-1" tap="0" vibrato="0" />
    Recommendation:
Delete the entire 'rstoolkit' folder and all contents from you system.  Then download and install a fresh copy of the current beta version. Clean up your EOF audio files and heed other recommendation above and try again. If you have time to explain, I would like to know the full toolkit work process steps that you used to produce the CDLC that contain the stacked colored bars.  Is it possible that you have a pre 2.8.2 version of the RocksmithToolkitLib.dll installed with the toolkit.  Mouse right click the 'RocksmithToolkitLib.dll file', select 'properties', then 'version' to find out.

  20. cozy1's post in Corrupt file was marked as the answer
No, there is no setting to leave a corrupt CDLC in your song collection.  The reason the CDLC seems to play fine may be because you have not played the corrupt arrangement yet.  CDLC have multiple arrangements and any one of them could be corrupt.  CFSM moves the corrupt CDLC to the 'corrupt' folder because if you did play the arrangement that is corrupt it could end up corrupting you game save.  So to be safe it is removed from the collection.

It would be a good idea to contact the CDLC charter and ask them to fix their corrupt CDLC.  If you can't  contact the original CDLC charter then you may be able to repair the CDLC yourself by unpacking and repacking it with the Rocksmith toolkit.
  21. cozy1's post in Couldn't find Wwise CLI EXE ERROR ! was marked as the answer
    @Crazy Malcolm

Ok, so both of those screenshots look good and conversion should work if you are feeding the toolkit a good ogg or wav audio file.  Plz confirm you can play (listen to) guitar.ogg or guitar.wav (maybe they are empty/null).

If Wwise toolkit conversion is still not working, you can try removing all audio files from your EOF project folder so that only either the guitar.ogg or guitar.wav file is present (i.e. delete all wem, mp3, and audio files that may be prefixed with 'preview').  Then use the guitar.ogg or guitar.wav file (depending on which you kept) to generate your CDLC.

Plz send screen shot of the toolkit CDLC Creator and let me know if it works.

If it still does not work then check the file permission levels on drive E: and make sure you have admin access.

If it still does not work then reinstall the toolkit latest beta version.

If it still does not work then send a link to your original EOF project files.

EDIT:  This answer offers the best possible solution to the issue.
  22. cozy1's post in Error when generating cdlc was marked as the answer
Use a new album artwork image file (try using 512x512 jpg format).  The toolkit doesn't like the image you are using.
  23. cozy1's post in Error when unpacking or using DDC was marked as the answer
@albatross123  How did you produce the wem files for the ndd psarc file (from ogg/wav file with the toolkit or directly with Wwise)?  What version of Wwise did you use?

NVM  ... actually the error is caused becuase of the CDLC file name 'Terror-Zone'.  It contains the word "error" which is reserved.  Try renaming the CDLC file (don't use 'error') and the problem goes away.  Will implement perm fix later.

Arrangement order is no longer important.  New beta should work with any arrangement order, at least it does for me.

Use latest beta of toolkit if you want to use EOF abridged xml.  Good idea to update to beta cause of all the new toolkit features.
