  1. I don't own a PS3 so hopefully someone with a PS3 will chime in here. A couple of thing I can say is that in order to get custom songs to work on a PS3 it has to be modded first. This isn't the forum to discuss modding but you can goggle the topic or see videos on how to do this on YouTube. The custom files (*_ps3.psarc.edat) will need to be copied to the folder /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS31182/USRDIR/DLC, if the folder DLC does not exist, just create it.
  2. I still consider myself just barely above a beginner, but it looks like I have unlocked four of the eleven bonus songs in RS2014. Disonaur - Sea to Swallow - 2013 Matt Montgomery, Brain McCune, Brendan West - On Top Of The World - 2013 Playground Kings - Self Trap - 2007 Verses Them - Impossible Dreams - 2013 I know I'll never get most of the missions completed, so I'm not sure how many more of these songs I'll get. It doesn't bother me as I can find better songs at CF than most of these RS bonus songs. Here's some more info on the RS bonus songs. http://www.theriffrepeater.com/the-bonus-songs-of-rocksmith-2014/
  3. The only thing I can think of, if you make a CDLC of another type of instrument (cello), RS is always going to take you into the tuning area for the first song you play and is going to want to tune it for either a 6 string guitar or 4 string bass. Without getting the tuning correct it won't allow you to continue. You might be able to tune with a bass first and then plug in a cello. I'm not sure if you could change the tuning in EoF enough to make RS think your playing a differently tuned bass.
  4. Sorry but you will have to purchase another official dlc that you like to get this to work. All I Want by A Day To Remember was just released March 18th and isn't included in the newest build of the toolkit's pull down menu yet. (Newest build 2.6.0.0)
  5. @@dmw010 Since you just joined the forum today. Check out this topic: http://customsforge.com/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014/ And watch this video:http://customsforge.com/topic/4776-video-guide-how-to-use-cdlc-in-rocksmith-2014-pc/
  6. Some of you might already know about this app. I got it when @@Uncle Waldo mentioned it here http://customsforge.com/topic/2593-don-t-loose-your-save-file/I just got around to reading some reviews on it. Sounds really cool.Doing a Google review search, the review’s were favorable.I was always going to do a search on the forum to figure out how people record Rocksmith gameplay. Now I know. This software will do it. The best part is, its free.
  7. Very easy to do. Make sure you have the toolkit. http://www.rscustom.net/ Go to the convert tab. Choose your platforms. (Source)PC (Target)XBox360 Then choose the CDLC you want to convert.
  8. If you download this version of the toolkit the Kiss songs are in the AppID. http://builds.rscustom.net/master-2.5.0.0-f57262633bc5.zip
  9. Your only options that I know of is to do what @@GetTheLedOut suggested, purchase another song you like that is in the toolkit's song list, or unpack your customs with the toolkit, change the appid with a text editor to one of your Kiss songs and then repack it. If your not sure how to do this we can walk you though it. IMHO though the easiest thing to do is to purchase another song you like. Kiss appid's are: Detroit Rock = 271422 Heaven's On Fire = 271424 I Was Made For Loving You = 271423
  10. It's hard to say what is keeping your customs from showing up in the game. There are only a few steps that need to be taken to get these to work. Make sure you have the D3DX9_42.dll file and that it is installed in the Rocksmith2014 folder. Use the toolkit to change the cdlc's AppID to a dlc AppID that you purchased. Place all of the cdlc's in the Rocksmith2014/dlc folder If you haven't watched this tutorial video it might help. http://customsforge.com/topic/938-video-guide-how-to-use-cdlc-pc/
  11. I do disagree with this commit somewhat. Even though I have yet to post a cdlc, one of my other hobbies is collecting bootlegged non copyrighted concerts on another site. Whenever I upload a concert it is always good to even get just a simple thanks, even though only 5%-10% of leechers do that.
  12. Thanks! I'll give it a try. I haven't had any problems yet with corrupted files. Though I have been thinking lately about reducing the number of customs in my dlc folder that are still to advanced for me.
  13. I not sure what it cost to mod a Xbox360. Beings you aready have RS & RS2014 for your Xbox, that means you aready have the realtone cable. Buying RS2014 without the cable isn't to expensive especially if you just purchase a RS2014 Steam CD-KEY. That's how I bought my copy of RS2014. You can usually buy a CD-KEY for around $25.00/ $30.00 US. Just Google Rocksmith 2014 Steam Keys. Most people here have RS2014 on pc, The choice of custom song available here are greater for pc. Any troubleshooting questions you might have will be easier to answer for the pc version of RS2014.
  14. Boston and now Heart. There are so many customs on this site by groups I've never heard of. Glad to see some new official DLC's of groups I grew up with. I wish RS was released 30 yrs ago.
  15. As far as I know you have to have a steam account that you play Rocksmith on. Then you have to purchase one official DLC through steam. This will give you a legitimate purchased AppID. Then you can change your cdlc's to this AppID with the toolkit. This will give all of your cdlc's the same AppID as your purchased song. Without buying at least one DLC, steam will think that you have no additional songs loaded in the dlc folder. Most people buy Cherub Rock as most cdlc's are written with this AppID. But you can buy any one that you like and change the cdlc's to that AppId. The songs aren't that expensive and actually a steal if it allows you to use cdlc's. There's got to be one song here that you like. http://store.steampowered.com/search/?sort_by=Released&sort_order=DESC&term=rocksmith+2014
  16. I hope you know that in order to get cdlc's to work on a Xbox it has to be modded. You can Google the subject or check out Youtube videos. http://forums.smithyanvil.com/viewtopic.php?id=1311
  17. Yes my friend your not alone. This happened to me earlier this week. http://customsforge.com/topic/2105-wierd-tuning-problem-in-rs-open-c/ Now everything is back to normal.
  18. I'm not a fan of master mode either, and have turned mine off. The only master mode I need is something that will play my guitar for me.
  19. I usually left click my mouse and drag it over the text, this highlights it and then hit the delete key to delete the text. There's other ways like placing your courser either before or after the text and hitting the back space or delete key. You can always get out of a post that is messed up by hitting the back arrow on your browser before submitting the post, and then start over.
  20. I downloaded I'm Only Happy When It Rains, but it seemed to work fine for me. A couple things you might try. A lot of the song are written for lead, rhythm & bass. If you are not seeing any notes like the first two measures of this song it is because only the rhythm is being played. Press you control key (ctrl) on your keyboard to change between lead & rhythm. With the notes appearing & disappearing might have to do with master mode. While you are in the game press your space bar to get into 'Tools' then select 'Options' then 'Play Settings' go to 'Master Mode' and make sure it is set to off. (Uncheck the box) Sorry I can't help with the patcher file. I don't get any error message. You might try deleting the patcher file and just use the D3DX9_42.dll file.
  21. I don't own a PS3 or know anything about them. I'm not sure if this helps or answers your question. PS3: Install files: "_ps3.psarc.edat" to "/dev_hdd0/game/BLUS31182/USRDIR/DLC", if the folder DLC does not exist, just create it.
  22. I've heard other people having problems with RS, but mine has been problem free until now. I have RS on both my desktop & laptop.I only play RS on my laptop because it is hooked up to my big screen & soundbar. The song Friends by Zeppelin is tuned in Open-C. When I bring this up on the desktop and go into tuning it is displayed correctly. When I try playing this on the laptop the tuning is incorrect. I know this is on my end and has nothing to do with the song itself. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever seen this problem, or knows of a fix. 25. Have you purchased a dlc from steam? Have you changed the AppID of the cdlc to that dlc's AppID? Here's a video that might help. http://customsforge.com/topic/938-video-guide-how-to-use-cdlc-pc/
