  1. Dear all,

    may anyone could help me?
I'm running Mac OS X Catalina, I've followed instruction as per Wepeel posted August 17, 2014, but I've encountered many issues.

    1. Legally downloaded Rocksmith and Cherub Rock song;
    2. Set patch files to read and write permissions for all users;
    3. Allowed their execution via System settings -> Security & privacy

    Then:

    1. Run RUN_PATCH_RS.command and I get screenshot 1.png.
=> nothing happened. When I run Rocksmith, I can't see any cdlc.
    2. Run RUN_PATCH_RS.command once again. Yes, for all "continue anyway". A disk low warning appears, but I have more then 800GB free.
=> something happened. When I run Rocksmith it fails crashing with the message in 3.png.

I got this issues after Mac OS X reinstallation, before that I was able to play it without any problems.
I'm wondering if I am missing something or I got wrong versions (or older version) of patcher.

Thank you for your support and sorry for my English 😉
    Dave.

Patch should be applied only once, and it does look like it worked initially. I don't know if it messes something up if done multiple times, but it might. To be safe, maybe do a clean install (or rather 'verify integreity of of game files' from steam, which effectively should download all modified files without reinstalling everything) and apply the patch once again.

"I uninstalled Rocksmith, reinstalled and patched.  No luck." -> What happens? Do cdlc show up in the game? Original Cherub rock bought and showing up and is playable?

Same to me. And it happens at every updated performed by Rocksmith or Steam.
I have no idea on what to do to solve this Problem, but I usually Uninstall, Install e apply patch n-times until it works.
Well, I need to understand why and how to specifically solve this problem, or I'm going crazy.

    Any solution?

Before you go and search a folder of files, now that this is strictly against our rules to do so and will result in the link being deleted and a warning.

Note that most charter would be more than happy to offer a mac version if they were even asked to do so but it's very rare to have people actually interact in that kind of way and that's a shame.

Ok, I understand. So, it is better to ask for a Mac version, directly to the member who released the song?
If I have converted the song from PC to Mac, may I share it to him/her?

Sorry! Wrong thread! I commented on here before.

So before I updated - I found that some songs ran well others didn't. I have a huge 820 collection of songs and just used trail and error - I would only download the songs that had a .M file option not just change the name from .P .. If you have followed the steps on the original post I can share my DLC folder if you like... still loads in there that don't work well but plenty that do - think a lot of the muse tracks had problems .. I was slowly working out which ones worked, but then the BIG SUR update came and screwed me ..

    Thank you thatbassist.

I've notice that I got these problems with only some file (actually, a great part of them). But I'm pretty sure that my files are .m.psarc. In fact, ".m" is for Mac and ".p" is for PC.
But I usually make conversion from .p to .m (not only renaming the file name) using a Rocksmith toolkit, for the ones not available for Mac version.

Maybe I need to update the tool and convert agains all the wrong files.

I'll perform some tests and I will let you know.

    Thank you!
    Davide.

    Hi ,

I am having the same experience with 10.15.7

Running on a MacBook Pro 16

I have dowloaded a legal copy via steam

dropped the patch into folder /Library/Application Support/steam/steamapps/common/rocksmith2014

run the UN_PATCH_RS.command (all three files changed to read and write)

In system preferences I granted the patch to run in security & privacy and the other two that try and run as well

when loading the custom songs they seem to be all good and even preview in the menu but on playing I get the same as what others are saying the two amps and nothing else pops up - then in the end just closes the program.

Have removed twice are tried but no joy.

Anyone having any other luck to get working?

Seem to have tried everything in this thread with no joy, wonder what I am missing?

I did run on boot camp to windows 10 - that was even worse, the sounds was just a high pitched mess when loading in!

    Thanks in advanced

    Hi thatbassist,

Ok, so where are we with having CDLC's working on the MAC again? I can't get any of my CDLC's to work on RS 2014 remastered any longer.  After reading through the thread it seems that it was the Catalina-upgrade that wrecked it.
    I'm currently running OSX 10.15.7.

I fired up my RS2014 today after not having touched it for months and wanted to play some Dire Straits. Now I only get to the tuning-screen after selecting the song. When the tuning is done nothing happens.

    All help appreciated! 🙂

    Hi guys,

any solution there? I have the same problem with the same OS X version and I can't find any information about it.
    Did anyone solved this issue?
    Thanks,

    Davide.
