  1. Don't be afraid, it's super easy~ 1) Click the row above where you want another entry. 2) Go to "Insert" menu > "Row Below" 3) A blank row appears! Click each box and type in the bar to add to each heading.
  2. I know, right? Grats hypothetical dude, you impressed some internet hobbyists with skills you don't actually have! :P Would take a pretty big loser to feel good about that. That's me too!! They knock me off groove so bad. I ended up spending the rest of my night playing songs for pleasure, but I'll definitely disable all the fancy effects when I get around to padding up my Tio Sam score. It's going to be a looong time before I amass the funds for hardware good enough to handle video capture, sadly. I tried to do it once on this old rig, and the FPS was unforgivable. :( I'm really looking forward to it, though. I have aspirations to livestream Rocksmith, other video games, and jamming with friends, and get a Youtube channel going. Used to be a really good video editor back in my high school days, it'd be nice to pick up those skills again. You'll get to see my messy room one day, Noony!
  3. I'm sorry if I came across as ignorant in my passionate opinion about beeps and boops. I honestly didn't realize how much history was involved. People cheat in this? That's... pretty sad. Guess I shouldn't underestimate the lengths people are willing to go to for Internet Points! E-cred is the currency of the future. I'll take your tip on the SFX, cleaning up the audio will make a world of difference. I can probably get used to the words everywhere - I used to play Beatmania and such which do the same thing, so I should be able to suck it up after a while. Still, it drives me up the wall how distracting the game mode designed for competition is. There's way too many combo notifications, and the Goods and Perfects change position constantly! Agh!!
  4. Speaking of working hard, Frippchen's sweet new file makes me feel like I can actually play Lead MC this week instead of just mashing strings in key! I wish you kept the chuggy bits of the original chart on the open F, because they give the riff its soul, but a proper sync and taking out the unnecessary string skipping does make it way less difficult to play. http://i.imgur.com/ZrQ291i.jpg I'm still really bad at the main riff but oh man did I ever wreck that solo. :D
  5. No worries~ We use accuracy. Score Attack always gives two points of accuracy, so it's technically a little better. That doesn't make me like it, though! I just tried it for Ca and I hate all the arcade noises and all the dumb irrelevant shit flying across my screen every time I play a note. PERFECT! GOOD! PERFECT! FANTASTIC! KEEP GOING! I way prefer Learn a Song. http://i.imgur.com/8WDUJeg.jpg Rodman made me work hard. I did really well on the solo this attempt, but I fumbled some chords I definitely shouldn't have. You know... because beep boop boop beep PERFECT! PERFECT! WOW! EPIC! If we make sure to turn off Master Mode every time, is it okay to use the decimal point in Learn a Song for accuracy?
  6. If you play a part perfectly and have Master Mode on in Riff Repeater, it will start to slowly fade out the notes as you keep playing that part perfectly. You can't get >100% accuracy, but you can get >100% mastery.
  7. Yeah, a little friendly competition is a good excuse to try hard. Up until this competition, I've just been a Rocksmith drifter, playing whatever song catches my fancy one at a time and never really working too hard on any one thing. Kind of like a radio station. But this gets me to focus up, and do my best to play as spot-on as I can the whole way through. It's absolutely a necessary ability on any instrument. And it's good to be being forced out of my comfort zone. Ska-P's song was the first ska song in my library, it took a little mind-opening to get it to come out of my hands. But now I can do things like that anytime! I appreciate the work you organizers do.
  8. One guitar: Hagstrom Ultra Swede. It's the best guitar ever, so why would I ever get a second one? Just kidding! I'm poor and can't afford any more guitars.
  9. I've been here a while, and I think I'll be here a while longer. Might as well introduce myself properly! Yo! I'm Gamut, or Jared if you prefer. I'm 25, and I live in Ontario, Canada. In the real world, I'm a web developer and computer wizard by trade. But off the clock, my world is music and video games. I've been a drummer for 12 years, and across them, I've been in five bands. Some rock bands, some metal bands, a folk band. My love of music also came out in my choice in video games. I got into rhythm games starting with Dance Dance Revolution, which led into playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band competitively. I firmly believe I have these games to thank for turning my brain into a rhythm machine. Even before I was a drummer, I wanted to play guitar. Naturally, when they made a rhythm game out of guitar, I borrowed my brother's old beginner axe and picked it up immediately. And once I found out that I could put custom songs in the game, well, I found my way here! Lead guitarist at heart. Only been playing two years, but I'm impressed at how fast Rocksmith is training me - sometimes I do a shreddy bit and realize, "Wow, I just melted faces, didn't I?" In terms of other video games, I play a lot of DotA, RPGs, hack and slash, and fighters. In terms of other hobbies, I also enjoy reading, writing, film, and photography!
  10. @@NoonyDeloony I hope good beards aren't a prerequisite to being good at guitar, or I'm going to be one patchy guitarist! :D @@franfit Age ain't nothing but a number. Keep on rocking! I went up a few % on the Amorphis lead on my second go, but I'm going to work hard on it tonight with the new version. I don't think I can hit 90th percentile, but I think I have it in me to hit high 80s!
  11. There! It's really you!

  12. @@Thomas Miller I haven't even been at this very long and I can't imagine switching hands. Thank god they saved that index! Good look on the journey. I've already accomplished the first goal I had when I set out on my guitar journey: I just wanted to understand melody. I've been a drummer for ten years and anything to do with rhythm I've got down pat, but I've always had melodic ideas that I simply couldn't transcribe. Nowadays, if I hear notes in my brain, my fingers just know where to go, and I can actualize my musical thoughts on guitar almost as easily as on drums. It's something that seemed impossible 2 years ago, but Rocksmith has done such a good job of getting me good that I can write melodies in no time flat now. My next goal is to get on a stage. I've been on stages before, but it's always been behind a drum kit. Lately I'm playing and singing pretty damn well, so I figure if I write some music and wrangle some more musicians, this dream could become reality real soon!
  13. @@NoonyDeloony Nice head bobbage! That's one of the areas I've got to improve in still - I'm one of those robotic guitarists that stares blankly into the nether while playing because all of my brain's processing power is used up just hitting the right notes. Gets the job done, but it's sure not as fun to watch! I hope I get good enough that I can sound good and still have a little brainpower leftover for rocking out. Especially if I end up on a stage with a guitar someday!
  14. Drummer on the path to understanding melody!

  15. I was feeling in the zone, so I had another go on Ca after working on the solo a bit. I still butchered it pretty bad, but the rest of the run went pretty well. http://i.imgur.com/JaUWVp1.jpg
  16. @ That new Amorphis file is solid, thanks for that! My hands are starting to do upbeat chords decently: http://i.imgur.com/SkRuysW.jpg
  17. Lead ADV: 100% on distorted bits, 75% on whacky offbeat ska chords. I enjoyed this song more than I was expecting to, I must say. http://i.imgur.com/zypmEju.jpg Also, an It's Really You update! I think if I spend some time in RR learning the solo I can go higher. http://i.imgur.com/zPoJ4DW.jpg
  18. Kudos to all you techno wizards who can do this magic, by the way. Will be back with scores soon. It's a ska song, huh? I suck at offbeat chords! Here we go!
  19. Is this a custom title? I MUST KNOW.

  20. Metal's generally a pretty hard genre, but there are some easier songs/riffs in here: Alestorm - Keelhauled Alexisonfire - This Could Be Anywhere In The World Disturbed - Down With The Sickness Breaking Benjamin - So Cold Metallica - Nothing Else Matters Tool - Schism
  21. Plugging some good customs! BG: Taking Back Sunday - A Decade Under the Influence IM: Coheed and Cambria - Far MC: Buckethead - Soothsayer
  22. Sky is Mine (Rhyth Ez) : I got really excited when I heard the preview for this one. Power metal is my jam! http://i.imgur.com/HTO3LcQ.jpg That probably would have been a 100% if my C string wasn't constantly going sharp this song. D Standard problems! Hey, that awesome delay lead riff sounds like it's going to be impossible! Let's go play a noisy resemblance of it! SPOOKY GHOST SCREENSHOT http://i.imgur.com/eFR3m5v.jpg
  23. I've never heard of any of these songs on my life. Well, here goes anyway! It's Really You! (Lead IM) : This sightread was a little tricky to play off the cuff, but I figured out that eighths riff by the end. I'll probably do this one again and patch it up later. http://i.imgur.com/pMiI0H0.jpg
  24. I was gonna post a few more scores... but then I got high. I was gonna get 100% on Metallica lead... but then I got high. Nahhh, I'm just kidding. If I was unbusy enough to be getting high, I'd probably be playing guitar! But this was pretty cool to do, maybe I'll make some time for a bowl and posting a few scores next week too.
  25. Is double posting frowned upon here? Oh well. I played that Metallica song. I think it's literally been ten years since I heard it last, but that didn't stop me. Did it on Rhythm because I'm a wussy drummer who can't solo. http://i.imgur.com/dAlqSEg.jpg Also, here's a better second go on Offspring. http://i.imgur.com/bq8qNnW.jpg
